My go to spot for chicken teriyaki since high school. Their chicken is always so tender and portions are huge. I love how their teriyaki sauce is not too thick and with the perfect combination of sweet and salty. I always order their spicy chicken teriyaki which comes with rice and salad. Food was actually ok. But the customer service was absolutely horrendous. We got there with 39 minutes to closing. The open sign was off, so I made sure they weren't about to close when we got there. And was told no, they were still open. So we ordered our food, spicy chicken teriyaki, spicy beef yakisoba (spicy is an extra charge, which would be fine, but it didn't actually get made as spicy), egg rolls, and a drink. We were going to eat there cause we're on the road, and they're open for over 30 more minutes. Food comes out, again, it was ok. But it got bagged to-go, without asking or confirming anything (ok, no big deal). Then as we're eating, they turn the radio off, to make it that much more awkward for us. Then I hear a video from behind the counter that says "can you get out of here", repeated 3 times. Then, as we're done with our meal and refilling our drink. The guy behind the counter starts yelling at us that we didn't pay for a drink... which was all very confusing, because we very clearly asked for one, and when the total was $47+, I didn't think a drink wasn't charged. But I didn't get a receipt, so wasn't sure. After then reviewing our order, says he didn't hear the drink and basically accuses us of stealing. All the while, we're just trying to tell him to give it a rest and let us pay for the damn drink. That was nearly $4 itself. So over $50 for some ok teriyaki. I don't typically leave reviews, and basically never bad ones. But there are too many small businesses out there to support ass holes like this guy. Please drive 5 minutes further to support people that deserve it, and respect their customers. read more

Today was the worst food that I've had a Miyako's. I stopped in for a late lunch just before 3pm, the chicken was very dry and the gyoza were over cooked. It's as if they precooked the food for lunch rush then served me the left overs by reheating. read more

Ordered this through Door Dash. I am a fan of Asian quisine so was excited to try this. I got the "big Miyako" which comes with a gyoza, spring roll, soup, chicken and veggie yakisoba. Overall the food was great and warm. I can't say on how the restaurant is or any other facts since it was delivered but the food was good and it is nice to have a "sampler" meal like this to try new things. Miyako's has decent food. The chicken teriyaki is my go to. I love that they have free egg drop soup, if you dine in. The reason for me removing three stars is for a couple of reasons. First, if you order take-out, you get half the food you would get if you dined in. Next, is their punch card program. What a joke. If you buy 12 meals at $12 a pop, you get $5.00 off your next order. What a deal. So you spend $144 and you get a $5 savings, not a free meal. Talk about cheap. Lastly, I stopped buying canned or bottled drinks from Miyako's as two that I purchased were expired and tasted like all hell. read more

Best Teriyaki around!! Never disappoints and always has had fast service! Their spicy chicken is our favorite and our go too!

Excellent short ribs(#7) and plenty of them meaty with no grissel or fatty parts attached. Very tasty from the grilll. Also the salad had nice sized pieces green lettuce with no big white or yellow lettuce pieces. Very clean places also. Complimentary soups I tried the egg drop they had added mixed veggies to make it heartier that was flavorful also. I have a bunch off other teriyaki menus in my stash by far this floats my boat. read more

For around a year, I would call in and order the same thing from here twice a week. I liked the Chicken Katsu bento and worked near by, so it was convenient and quick. The price was pretty good too. One day I went to pick up my usual order, and after they handed me the food, I went through my purse to pay and realized my wallet was gone. I explained that I could pay for it next time since I come in every Thursday and Friday. They said no and asked for the food back. It was a $10 meal, and they must have either re-served it to someone else or just thrown it away. I wouldn't normally have an issue with a restaurant not giving it to me, but I had been coming in on a regular basis and left a decent tip on my pickup orders every time, so I thought that was pretty tacky. Grabbed some takeout for the crew here on Friday and it was a winner! Called in our order for takeout and it was ready in 15 minutes. The teriyaki was great, and the portions were big. The sauce was fantastic! Didn't try anything other than the chicken teriyaki but I saw some others with bento boxes that looked amazing as well. We love the Teriyaki here, especially the spicy chicken. However, tonight we tried the General Tsao's chicken and Mongolian beef. Both were smothered in excessive veggies and there was very little sauce or flavor. The chicken was soggy and tasteless. I really like Miyako's for the following reasons: 1). It's one of few quality restaurants with close proximity to the Cathcart area. 2) It's decently priced and the portions are large enough to split between two people. 3) It's clean-which is saying something cause a lot of small teriyaki shops aren't that well maintained-and there's a computer with free Internet for customers. 4) The service has always been great and the food is prepared quickly. I walked in the parking lot in front of the restaurant and fell and hurt myself from icy black ice. I then ordered two to go meals. I was asked by the female cashier if I was ok and I told her no, I just fell in the parking lot. The cashier immediately started telling it was not their fault, a different company de-ices the parking lot so don't blame the restaurant. She was not kind at all! I warned a inside customer about the black ice and the cashier demanded that I leave the restaurant and wait outside for my food order and don't talk to her customer. Why didn't she just say she would call the company that was responsible to device and notify them? She said, you need to stop arguing with her. I will Never go to this restaurant again. Appears to be under new ownership. New tables and chairs. Menu hasn't changed. Been here twice since new ownership. Chicken yakisoba the same, good. Pork and chicken teriyaki, pretty much the same. Salad dressing seems a little watered down now. Old trick of Teriyaki owners. Nothing terrible though. Meat wasn't drowned in teriyaki sauce, witch I like.
