He seemed like he wasn't making any connections with other children during his stay as well. We eventually found Beautiful Minds Montessori, scheduled a tour and enrolled him to join as soon as a space opened up. Our son had already developed a distaste for daycare and would be in tears at drop off , but Miss Lily was immediately comforting and receptive to our son and helped him along the way. She kept us informed through his day and it really seemed like it was the individual care we were looking for. I suppose smaller daycares seem a bit weird compared to the large ones, but after our experience with Miss Lily's expertise and warmth at Beautiful Minds Montessori, I wish we had enrolled him sooner. On a side note, once my son starts Kindergarten later this year, I will be enrolling my daughter soon after as I know she will be in good hands with miss Lily!

A lot of daycares have small, musty grounds that seem uncomfortable for children to be cooped up in all day, but the Montessori Academy of Chino has HUGE, open, sunny classrooms with plenty of space for the kids. The entrance is secure and the sign in/out process is easy on their device (no annoying sheets to sign every day). Their outside area is gated and faces away from the street, so it also feels very safe. Secondly, the staff are attentive. Outside of the classroom, on the rare occasion I've had an issue, the director or owner have communicated quickly and directly. Inside the classroom, the teachers are nice and seem like they enjoy their job. They have plenty of fun activities for the kids and are wonderful about having special events! There is occasional turnover, but that is to be expected with any early education center. The main teachers have stayed consistent which is great for the kids. Overall, our family simply loves this school. I can't thank them enough for all they do!

They told me their teacher had ASSUMED she already got her ID checked that's No excuse they should definitely have a system and more organization on this matter. Also, told his teacher my som who is about to be 2 years old in 15 days that he must only have milk once, the rest water or juice. The one day they had a sub she did not follow that rule. Very unorganized, if there is a sub in class they should be aware of his needs. They also had my son napping in a baby swing his legs would stick out of. I don't trust this school!

Unfortunately, our experience left us extremely disappointed and concerned. I happened to be watching the classroom livestream when I witnessed two separate physical interactions between Ms. Morgan and my son. During the first incident, my son had put a bucket on his head that he was not supposed to be wearing. Rather than speaking to him or asking him to give it to her, Ms. Morgan came behind him and snatched it away without any verbal warning. My son cannot speak well but he understands simple directions and will hand something over when asked. About 30 minutes later, Ms. Morgan lifted my son out of a chair and then pushed him away with enough force that he had to take a step forward to catch himself. What was just as upsetting as witnessing these incidents was the response from the director, Ms. Pam. After reviewing what happened, the blame was placed on our developmentally and speech-delayed child rather than the adult in the situation. We did not receive the remorse, accountability, or reassurance we expected from someone we trusted with caring for our child. What was most odd was that when we expressed how upset we were, the response seemed to change only after we mentioned leaving a review. We were told that we "didn't need to go that far." As parents, our priority was never a review-- it was how our child was treated and how our concerns were handled afterward. Children with developmental and communication delays require additional patience, redirection, and understanding. They should never be treated as though their disability excuses an adult handling them in a way that is concerning. I am incredibly grateful that I happened to be watching the livestream and saw these interactions myself. Based on what we witnessed and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we do not trust this daycare with our son. For parents ,especially parents of children who are nonverbal, speech delayed, or unable to tell you what happens during their day, pay close attention and advocate for your child when something doesn't feel right.

I truly applaud the preschool teachers--especially those in Room 3B--for being patient, reasonable, and communicative. My son absolutely loved having Ms. Morgan and Ms. Adele as his teachers. My son would almost hug Ms. Pam every day before we left Kiddie Academy, which speaks volumes about the caring environment they've created. Ms. Quintero has been great at helping our daughter develop all the skills she needs in preparation for kindergarten. The classes have a larger age range than typical daycares, but we've found that to be a positive, the younger kids learn a lot from the older ones, and the older ones learn to look out for the little ones. It's also one of the cleanest daycares we've experienced; our kids have gotten sick far less often here than at prior daycares and we rarely see the teachers on an iPad or phone (so don't expect a ton of photos or videos), they're genuinely engaged with the kids rather than distracted by a device. When we had to travel during my husband's paternity leave to visit my parents in Asia, he kept asking when we'd go back because he'd missed his friends and teachers. Not only they remember each of the kids' names, they also give hugs (and stickers, ha) on the daily basis. The principal is also very involved, which we appreciated. There is a difference between enforcing school policies and personally involving yourself in a conflict based on emotions or assumptions. This became especially concerning in an incident involving a child who was repeatedly being bitten and hit by another student, resulting in bruises and eventually a fear of going to school at all. While I understand there are procedures the school must follow when addressing incidents between students, my concern is with how the director handled the situation beyond those procedures. From what I witnessed, she became personally involved and appeared to let her own emotions and assumptions influence her response rather than remaining neutral. All in all, my takeaway is that if your child ever has an issue involving another family at this school, I would hope that family does not have a close relationship with the director. Based on what I witnessed, I would have serious concerns about whether both sides would be treated equally and without favoritism.
