Our entire kids soccer team had an outing here on a Sunday night. It was our first time coming here and brought three kids, and two parents. We arrived at 530 pm. No one came to take any orders. We asked at the bar how the process worked and were kindly told honestly we should order at the bar because they didn't have enough wait staff. The man was nice and courteous. We asked for a pepperoni pizza, pretzel, tots, a Cajun sandwich, four waters, and a diet soda. He forgot to ring up the sandwich, and never gave the soda. Also I tried to buy the coach a drink and found out that the coach's request for a blue moon or a Heineken couldn't be filled because they didn't have any. Two hours later (730 pm), our food had not come. One family on our squad got their food but no one else had anything either. The pickle ball courts were well maintained and nice, the dart machines were okay. The billiards table didn't dispense a cue ball or one of the game balls. The game simulators didn't seem to register the activities well: for example when taking jump shots on the basketball simulator it didn't seem to consistently register the balls activity or trajectory. TL;DR: The place is nice and spacious, but in the end we had to leave because we had to feed our hungry kids and two hours was too long to wait. The service was stretched and inadequate, some of the game machines were not working well. HORRIBLE! Went there for lunch. What a mistake. How could you not have GAUAMOLE. No fajitas veggies? I was told "NOT TODAY". The restaurant was horribly dirty. Garbage cans were full. I know it's busy on a Sunday. But we ordered food and waited for 40 minutes til it was brought out. Waiter had like the entire dining room to serve. Big air vent above our table blower freezing air, cooling any hot food down instantly. Not sure why ownership wanted a constant 15 mile breeze running thru the restaurant at all time's maintaining 60degrees. Kids had nuggets. They tasted like freezer burn. Nachos mediocre. It's clear management doesn't care about server work balance. Our server who had 40 tables was also pouring drinks. Cool place for pickle ball and game simulation. Don't go for the food, it is terrible. Service not far behind. Menu is very limited and what they have is not very good and that is being kind. They can't even do iced tea correctly. Very expensive for horrible food and poor service. read more

My wife and I joined the winter golf league, this was my first time at Chip Shots. All the people were very friendly and accommodating and the league was a lot of fun- especially for a poor golfer like myself. Drinks were good and fairly priced for Rochester, MN. I would highly encourage if your a golf and looking for something to do in the winter to give it a shot. read more

Chip Shots is a unique and fun place in Rochester. In addition to the many games and simulators, it offers a full service bar and a wide variety of apps, sandwiches, pizzas, wraps and salads. I had the Ham N Cheese sandwich with chips and a local craft beer. Both were delicious. I'll be back. read more

Worst fucking service of my life!!! No one would take our order. They were serving other people and ignoring us trying to flag them down just for a drink. One waitress spent the entire time on her phone. Finally ordered food then got 1 of the 3 things we ordered. When I asked for the other two things they said the kitchen was backed up. 20 mins later someone came to ask what I even ordered. 20 mins later they came back and said they were out of one of the things. Then we finally got our food cold but got it. Then got to listen to one of the owners sit at the table next to us talking about how he is not here nearly as much as he should be. While he was there he just sat around chatting. One kid just spent the entire time walking circles around the tables but could not help with orders or drinks just clearing tables. Food was delicious, the Pickle Pizza is a must try. The service was good, our host helped us to our bay and went through some instructions on the golf. The simulators are for sure the most accurate and the graphics are amazing. We played a round of golf with some buddies and enjoyed some great beer and food. What added to the experience is they have a live music event on Wednesday Nights, so we got to listen to some cool acoustics as we played our round. Best golf sims in the area for sure. Not sure about pickleball, not a big player, but the courts seemed well maintained and were busy. read more

There were 2 tables with patrons (we were 1 of them). After waiting for over 45 mins for food (with 2 toddlers and 1 elementary school aged child) we were told another table sat before us (the only other table at the restaurant) and they would need to be served first. When asked how is it possible they can only offer service to one table at a time (to the point of first needing to complete that table) we were told there's only one server and one person cooking ... if we had at least been told in advance our food would be at least an hour because they're only capable of providing service to one table per night then that's an appropriate expectation. Also it's not the customers problem if the restaurant can't provide any service. Thank goodness I know so my team can never ever plan a happy hour here dependent on any sort of food service ... itd be a disaster. On the plus side the waitress did understand and only charged us for what was served (beverages) without additional question. read more

Incredibly over priced, definitely a waste. You could play 18 holes of real golf for cheaper then this or even get a rac membership for cheaper. You have to pay per hour for the bay, and golf clubs are not included in that price so u have to pay separate for that, and if u wanna do something else like pickle ball that's another $20 bucks. The game wasn't simulating properly, we had to Chuck the ball for it to work. Also, If u have a bigger group only 1 or 2 people can play at a time while others are waiting, so it's definitely not a place for large groups. Food is over priced, they don't have French fries at all when it's bar food, so wouldn't recommend it for families. Great idea for a place but missed the punch for sure. The kitchen also closed early too, we got there at 7 and sat down and they said we had to order asap if we wanted anything. Felt super rushed. Very let down. read more
