What an awesome spot to gather with friends in Rochester! It's so awesome to see cool stuff like food halls making its way into the city. A group of us gathered here earlier this week, and our experience was exceptional. SPACE: This unique building has been around since the 30s and used to be the workshop for the old Seneca food processing plant across the street. It's got a cool industrial look with the buildings story written on the front entrance wall and relics like the Seneca sign throughout! SEATING: There is SO much seating here, you can easily bring a group and find a spot inside or outside. We opted for the patio with a view of the famous Corn Cob water tower and sunset. The patio is dog friendly too! They do have live music inside often for folks sitting inside. FOOD: There are 3-4 food stalls running which provides several food options to please everyone in the group! I didn't personally eat during this visit, but the salads folks in our group got were massive and looked delish. DRINK: They have an awesome signature cocktail menu at a really affordable price! Many of the cocktails were $10, which is a huge perk coming from the Twin Cities. They have draft and can options as well, plus mocktail offerings. SERVICE: This was truly a highlight - our service was exceptional. The bartender went out of his way to chat with me, help me pick a cocktail, and make me feel welcome. The owner, Kari, also made sure to check in with our group and see if we needed anything. The staff working at each food stall were smiling and welcoming. This is what really sets Workshop apart! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. A great space for date night, with a furry friend, or to bring a group!

Great spot for something a little different. A newer concept combining multiple food options in a "food hall" restaurant style that offers pizza, burgers, Mexican and sandwiches all under one roof. Great atmosphere and excellent service; this place is a fun spot with good energy and lots of options to meet the needs of a diverse group.

Better than golden arches! More variety too!

Here attending my first community @Yelp event! The place is unique in that it has basically four restaurants in one. Mexican, Burgers, Chicken and Pizza are the selections. Plenty of seating inside and out. We elected to enjoy the beautiful evening. Not much of a view but not bad either. The iconic corn cob water tower is across the street. The ordering was via 4 different counters. No lines today so service was fast. The table service was lightning fast! Our cheese curds were out about as fast as it took to find a table. Nothing special here and are compatible to A&W curds. The special dipping sauce wasn't bad. Still have not isolated the flavor but has consistency of ranch. We ordered from two different counters to see the timing. Amazingly the came out about the same time. The burger was good sized for the price but certainly no deal. Bacon was crispy and added to the flavor of of the sandwich. The fresh cut fries brought it home for this meal and worth the up charge. My wife had the fish tacos and the walleye was a good choice for the taco. Overall a neat place to spend the evening. Live music most nights add to the enjoyment. I will be back.

Definitely what rochester needs more of . This place is great to go on a date or bring a group of people . You can get a haircut or grab a drink. From walleye street tacos to fried chicken . You can even wash it all down with local beers . Both my wife and myself have eaten here about 5 times . We always enjoy trying something new which we've yet to be disappointed. My kids love the pan style pizza which has a amazing crust . I've enjoyed the Nashville spicy chicken and even the steak and walleye taco salad . This place is fun when music is being preformed and the patio a relatively large . Give this place a try!!

Ridiculous bathroom line. I waited 32 minutes.

Overall, experience was fine. The DJ on Halloween was good. The place was packed and the bartenders still moved pretty fast. Also, taco truck was immaculate. However...the bathroom situation????!!!!!!???!!!! I don't have words. I wouldn't go back based on that experience alone. I was in line for 32 minutes. Insanity.

I like the idea of Workshop Food Hall. While I only ate from Reid's Pizza, I liked the menus from all the vendors. It took me a couple passes of reading menus and a tense game of eeny-meanie to decide between chicken, burgers, tacos, or pizza. I am still thinking about the Meat Raffle Pizza a week later with the melty cheese and soft Detroit-style crust and crispy pepperoni cups. One pizza at $19.95 would feed 2 people, especially if you're getting food from other vendors. The bartender was friendly and helpful with suggestions, especially with local beers. Here's why it's only 3 stars for me: atmosphere. It's far too kid friendly. I often dine alone, but im not looking for silence or fine dining. But I'm also not looking for raucous tables of 14 year old boys out for their own pizza party. There is a Foosball table right in the dining room so after the food that table of boys plays and cheers with every tap of the ball. Dining alone, on a date, out with friends, I wouldn't return to the food hall on a Saturday afternoon. But Reids Pizza definitely deserves to be picked up and enjoyed at home.

Pickle fries, cornmeal type batter that came off.

First time here and probably won't return. I ordered pickle fries happy hour special for $3. The batter fell off while eating. OK, needs regular ranch instead. Fail #1 is the nasty MN meat raffle pizza. This was half off for happy hour too. The pepperoni were cooked hard and crispy, pizza overcooked, bland, tasteless. Reminded me of a frozen cheap quality pizza. I returned it for a refund. Then I ordered a Chicago dog. It had a ton of relish on it. Compared to Portillos, it missed the mark on taste. The housemade chips were OK. I asked about the burgers and were informed they are frozen. The concept is cool, but food very underwhelming.

Buffalo cauliflower - love fried cauliflower but didn't taste the buffalo seasoning but still very good.

I love the fancier food court idea but the food for me ranged from food court quality to some items being very good and others being potentially good. Sometimes I feel I'm too judgemental because I visit so many different eateries so I'm always comparing past experiences. We all have different tastes and what I think is ok - you might love and vice versa. So even though I comment on certain things, remember that's just my own taste buds talking. This place has a nice size parking lot and would be a great place for groups, families, and businesses luncheons. They serve alcohol too.

This is a fun, sports-like environment that has something for everyone! There are 4 choices of restaurants, 1 dessert place, and a bar. There are also several big-screen TV's. There are lots of staff ready to help and answer your questions! My husband got pizza and he loved it! Definitely recommend!!

Had a pit stop in Rochester for lunch on our way to la crosse for the weekend. We thought it was brand new come to find out it's been open over a year. Huge selling point is that it had a covered patio that was also dog friendly. We ordered our pup on bone marrow dog bone that he is still chewing on today 5/5. They have 4 stations in which you order grab a number and a table somewhere and they come to serve you. This is good comfort/drinking food. Our fave and surprising option was the friend elote! Will def stop back again when in the area

Bacon Blue Hot Dog from Murdoch's
    Gaby M.

I really enjoyed the workshop food hall - they had a variety of restaurants to choose from that all had good options. There were gourmet hot dogs and burgers, tacos, and pizza. They also have a full bar with great friendly bartenders and delicious drinks. I had the 'Bacon Blue' hot dog from Murdoch's which is served kn a poppy seed bun with a side of chips and it was delicious. They even have a burger just for you dog!! They have a great dog-friendly outdoor seating area, parking and lots of indoor seating as well (with AC).

As the only spot in Rochester, this is quite good on having a variety of flavors rotating weekly. Wish they had some staple flavors and that the donuts were made to order but that's okay. I do appreciate the unique flavors they offer. The ambience is nice to hang out. They do offer WiFi in the store and the password is near the main cash register Cons: Service has not been great. It's something that will greatly change the experience. Both times I've been there the staff do not work efficiently. The orders of just donuts should take a minute or two. However, I believe they operate to complete the order and move to the next. The cash register prompts to give gratuity but the staff really don't do much besides take your order. The Ube boba has a weird aftertaste. And the cup (though cool) isn't great for navigating to get all the boba. Overall, I really want this place to thrive here. With a better plan for a more efficient operation, I would definitely rate this higher.

However, I will say that whenever I go to a place, I tend to get what it's most known for. Mochinut is known for their donuts, so I got a 12 pack of donuts to-go. There was no wait when I went. We took them home and they tasted sooo delicious and fresh - on par with mochi donuts I've had in the Twin Cities. Absolutely loved them. My favorite flavors that I've tried so far are the Strawberry and Oreo - but you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be getting more in the future.

The butterfingers do get stuck to your teeth a bit since it's colder but that part of that option, right? The only aspect that I would change is to make it melt slower lol. I like to enjoy my desserts slowly but it melted so fast that I ended up putting it in the freezer when I got home so that it could harden up again. Note to self: Still really good post-freezer.
