The pickles and small amount of sauce keep everything from being too dry as well. Overall this place is fine if you're craving a Mexican meal. The prices were steep at $21 for three street tacos and $18 for a Cubano but most things in Tobermory are tourist-priced like this. To me, the burger and fires are what you are expecting, like McDonald's or Costco, nothing special. The famous Tobermory fish and chips are similar to the ones I ate in Toronto. These food are comfort food. There are very few restaurants in Lion's Head. So I guess it is why it costs a bit more than Toronto. If I ever come back to Tobermory, I would not just come here. I ordered the chicken mushroom burger with cheddar, and side fries and coleslaw. All was well except the coleslaw tasted a bit off. Not bad; just watered down and no flavour. I hadn't seen that they had gluten-free buns on the menu (as I originally was just going to go bun-less as they DO state the burgers are gluten-free), but upon ordering she let me know they do. If you are getting the GF bun, tis just two slices of GF bread. I'm not picky though and it still tasted good. For burger sides it was the usual soup, salad or fries w/ coleslaw (appears just the fries comes with coleslaw unless I read the menu wrong). Price was slightly below average ($11.xx before tax for my meal, minus drink). Would go again in dire need if in the area. If that happens though, I will likely try Rachel's next time for comparison.
