This chipotle is hard working may have some issues but they push through. Turnabout rate may be high but they try and make the most. Portion sizes for rice beans meat are suppose to be only 4 ounces. But they do most the time give a bit more. Fajita mix is a complimentary item and is tried to be made and ready every morning. But understandably being short staff in mornings other things take priority. Awesome job to the staff at this location. Customers aren't always right but always feel entitled. Keep up the good work and get better like you have. read more

Had chicken salad bowl with all the fixings. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Quite full filling. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because no saute onions available just bell peppers; which I was okay with. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. From the bottom of my heart, hands down, the worst chipotle I have ever been to. The rice was crunchy, the meat was dry, and chips were loaded with too much salt just like the workers here. Ordered from the parking lot at 5:23 as sign on door indicated they were only taking online orders. Picked up 7 minutes later. Employee inside was wearing her mask under her chin. Both meals ordered were stone cold upon immediate inspection. Fajita veggies looked old and dry. Received steak instead of chicken and the color looked off. Did not feel comfortable eating due to potential risk of food poisoning. I think there's a reason they don't want customers watching them prepare food. Eat at your own risk.... it seems like Chipotle has forgotten the lesson it learned when it first poisoned it's customers. read more

Deserves 0 stars. We stopped here to get lunch and Ive never been talked to so rudely before by a staff member. The side door was locked and the employee yelled at all the customers to stop letting people in. He said they were online only but there was no sign on the door to indicate this. I told the employee I could take my business elsewhere and he said he didn't care that it was no sweat off his back and he was behind on orders. He yelled this through the restaurant and about 10 people walked out. Back on 57 I go. With this kind of customer treatment this location wont be open long. read more

For a place that requires masks, it's sad to see ZERO staff wearing them correctly...even the manager took her's completely off 3 times, while other team members did the same! If they are trying to protect your health, they failed miserably. Might I suggest trying their covid special!?!? read more

Poorly managed during rush. Had to wait at least 25 minutes in line just to order. They had the least experienced guy in there attempting to put together all in house orders with a huge line. The 2 more experienced guys making to-go orders seemed to be having fun watching the line grow longer and not tagging in to help. Food tasted great though, Burrito Bowl. Portions were decent. It was chaos in there. Maybe try going when no one else is hungry? Oh! And they're only accepting cards, no cash, still. At this point, it's just poor management and/ or ownership. Ordered online on my way through town. Little did I know the restaurant is online order only. My estimated wait time was 6:40. Waited until 7 and still no food. Ended up canceling the order only to find out there were still 10 orders in front of mine! One group said they had been there for 40 minutes. Terrible management at this location. Stopped here on the way from a long drive from New York.. with 7 more hours to go to get to my destination. I went about a half hour before closing. Being a New Yorker I was preparing for attitudes of tired workers but I was beyond surprised at how hospitable and kind they were. After a long drive this was beyond. I'm so happy I stopped here. I went on opening day and I was impressed with the staff as they actually did very well considering this was their first day open to the public. Of course being new the place is clean and in good shape. There is also plenty of parking. Being a food chain the menu is what you would expect and here they keep up with the consistency. The staff is friendly albeit a bit slow but you can tell they are just trying to do it right. Glad to see Chipotle come to Effingham! read more

Go to Chipotle all the time and make there guacamole at home. The guacamole at this location missing red onion and jalapeño, and too much lime juice. It was not good. Maybe someone was in a rush, but the guacamole is a key part of the chipotle menu. Need to do a better job read more

Don't get me wrong, I love chipotle. It's so easy to eat KETO there! But the last two times I have gone, the steak has had gross gristle in it. It made it very unpleasantly eat when you have to spit out every other bite. I will still go back but never again order steak. read more

I was very disappointed in my experience here the other day. I frequent Chipotle fairly often and this last time was so bad that I finally had to put in a review. My order started off like usual but when we got to the meat section the person serving me asked "what meat do I want" and I responded "carne asada". She looked at me bewildered and then asked me which one that is out of the containers. I feel like she probably should have known the difference between the chicken, steak, barbacoa, and carne asada but she did not. I had to guide her to the right dish. After that, i told her that I wanted guacamole, cheese and lettuce to finish it off. I must have said this three times before the dish was finally complete. When the bowl was finally completed it was only about 2/3 of what it usually looks like, with it being mostly lettuce. I do not pay almost $12 to eat lettuce. When Chipotle first came out I was one of the most loyal customers but over the years they have steadily lost my loyalty and now I plan not to frequent there any more. This was definitely the straw that broke the camel's back. read more

This is by far and away the best Chipotle I've ever been to. As far as quality of food you get I order a double steak bowl from Chipotle everywhere I go and being from Chicago the ones up there for some reason think it's ok to give their customers fatty pieces of meat by the plenty. I'm sorry but I do not find it appealing to sit there and have 1/4 or more of your bowl be a piece of fat you can't eat. This is now my new favorite place to eat here in Effingham for quality of food! read more

Stopped in passing through town and disappointed to say the least. The person I was with ordered a steak quesadilla with just steak and cheese. The lady said she was just going to give him double meat but charge him for regular. Went to pay and the other man working frustrated with us for this when we never asked for the double meat in the first place. Then after grilling the quesadilla, no one cut it and we left and realized he had a giant quesadilla that was extremely hard to eat given the size and not precut. THEN to find a hair in it, disgusting. I myself, had a bowl. The lady who started it was the only one in the place who gave any effort into making it. The man she passed it to was the same one who jumped us about the double meat. that one, we didn't ask for and two never said we wanted double meat for free. Anyways, as he finishes off my bowl, you would think they had a shortage of food. Everything he gave me was half scoop. What made me most frustrated was the stingy scoop of guacamole that I paid extra for, so give it to me. Only recommend this location if you can guarantee the man with the bun isn't making your food. read more
