    Burrito

The chipotle here yuck to be honest. The burrito isn't as good as in Canada and the US. Well its still comfort food though so it is definitely better than the other burritos here. Recommended for comfort food

I know, I know. It's a chain, and a US chain at that. But a Chipotle fan is a Chipotle fan, and I'm grateful that I can get my fix of their cilantro-lime rice in the UK. This branch in particular has been great. The space isn't the best and quite tiny, but there is enough space between the top, bottom, and outside seating areas. When I had an issue with a piece of meat accidentally finding its way into my veg burrito, they rectified it right away and quite noticeably their staff are very careful with scooping. I've tried other branches that have more stale ingredients and not as friendly of staff. This one has very nice staff every time I go, and it actually helps in creating a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere. My go-to Chipotle branch!

A burrito is a bit like sex, even when it's bad it's still good. Thankfully though the burritos at Chipotle are like good sex. My burrito sampling passion has taken me to many bits of the world I would otherwise have never ventured into, so when I saw the reviews for this place which by comparison is on my doorstep I had to stop by and see if I should believe the hype. The creation of your burrito goodness follows the standard protocol of moving along the counter selecting ingredients for your server to add as you go. Despite always watching like a hawk I've never spotted where they slip in the burrito magic but you can rest assured that they are adding some here at Chipotle. Perhaps it is baked into the tortilla? Anyway, I digress. The big make or break aspect of a burrito for me is the meat. We had a carnitas burrito and a chicken one and the meat in both was great. The pulled pork was tender and juicy and the chicken came in nice chunks which had been marinated in manna from heaven. The other ingredients were good too, with all the flavours coming through. There are 3 salsa options and I chose hot, which didn't really live up to my expectation. I like hot salsa to create a sensation similar to shovelling plasma from the surface of the sun into my mouth, but no such luck here. I do have a bit of an asbestos mouth though so your mileage may vary. Bottom line is that it may be considered a little pricey, but it's still top notch fast food. It's not as good as you will find in the Mission District, but the tube doesn't run to San Francisco and you wouldn't have enough on your oyster card even if it did. Burrito aficionados should stop by, you won't be disappointed.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this Chipotle yet! It is quite simply my favourite place to get fast food in the city. I first fell in love with Chipotle when I was on a road trip in America and we stopped in at a service station. I'd had a few too many unhealthy fast food lunches by that point and fancied something a bit lighter; a Chipotle salad bowl seemed the perfect option. It blew my mind, and when I moved to London and one opened just down the road from my work I was ecstatic! I always get the chicken salad bowl with LOADS of veg and of course guacamole, it is absolutely delicious. If I'm having a bad day at work and want something to cheer me up I will go to Chipotle on my lunch break. It works in the same way as a cup of tea for me, making everything just a tiny bit better.

Being from California chipotle is a staple for a quick place to eat. Everything was good but the chips where overly salty and soft.

Not a real Chipotle. For some reason, they do not have sofritas in the menu! The main and key ingredient is nowhere to be seen...

During most of the week days, there are a bunch of pop-up food stands and the market gets swarmed with amazing smells. While trotting home one day, I saw a big Mexican flag waving towards the back end of the market. Quickly, I detoured during lunch time and headed through all the stalls to find Freebird Burritos. Swedish owned and operated, these fine Scandinavians made me one of the best carne asada (steak) burritos that I've had in London. The meat was lean and juicy and the spicing was excellent. Add in some tasty refried beans, cheese and a good helping of rice all wrapped in a tasty, albeit flour tortilla. So good and I can't wait to check out one of there other locations.

The staff is great (point 1), and they wrap their burritos like pros (point 2). Pork, beef, chicken and vegetarian burritos are options, as are fajitas and the "naked" burritos which basically shoves all the key burrito gear into a box without a tortilla. I'm not a big meat-eater, but the meat here is great...slow-cooked, no gristle, perfect bite-sizes, mega-tender. I always get an extra side of guac (60p) because it's a rule that avocado makes everything better. In my ideal world I'd add some more kick to it but, hey, that's being extremely picky. One burrito (6 pounds-ish, depending on your modifications) is more than enough for a hearty lunch. Which means I've never tested their chips or salsa or other things (but, note, they exist as options!). Yelp note: my new "secret sauce" is half HOT sauce half mild pico-de-gallo-style sauce. End result? A delicious medium heat. Y'welcome.

We shared a big plate of taco ingredients and tortillas. It was all very good and the good news is that with the variety there was something everyone liked. The space was chill and upscale while also feeling trendy. The drinks were also nice, mostly margaritas. In the end, nothing really stood out enough for me to remember or come back for if I wasn't in the area, but it would probably make my easy list of places that won't disappoint near the office.

Unfortunately, Mestizo charges per person and the minimum and maximum is two for this item So I couldn't order for one without paying forty dollars , and I'd be damned to pay that much. Having this rule is ridiculous. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant forcing you to order something that can easily be portioned to one. I ordered a marinated chicken with rice and beans. The beans were out of this world. Such a unique flavor I definitely was not accustomed to in the states. The rice was unfortunately bland. The chicken was marinated in this red sauce and was tasty for the most part. However , when I made my way to the center it became dry and had a weird taste. If you're gonna order this dish, proceed with caution. The dessert really outshined and redeemed my visit somewhat. I ordered the tres leches cake. This dessert is basically like a Mexican version of sticky toffee pudding. There are many overlapping factors. One key difference is tres leches uses a milk and cinnamon base , so it kind of tastes like a horchata cake.
