They have a vast selection of roses from standards to climbing, fruit trees grafted and dwarfs, ornamental trees, herbs, vegetables, annual and perennial flowers, succulents, ferns, indoor plants, seeds, soil, sand, compost, mulch, ornaments and so much more we haven't even explored yet. The staff are helpful, extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I'm looking forward to going back once our wallet recovers from this weekend.

Really poor customer service and poor quality control on products…read more They gave me a sample of engineered timber and said the veneer was 3mm. So I measured it and it came to 2.5mm. I called the manager and he flatly denied it was 2.5mm and said I was the problem. Appalling response. He then claimed there was a tolerance of 2.75mm to 3.25mm, which means their engineered floors - which are supposed to be 'finished' and don't require sanding or oil - can have up to 0.5mm difference from one plank to the next. Imagine walking on that floor ... He then changed direction and claimed if there were any issues when laying the floor it was because the client doesn't know what they are doing. Nice. That's the kind of support I want when I hand over $5,000 - $10,000 to a business ... Clearly, they're not up to listening or working through problems with clients, and instead attack or challenge their clients when they draw attention to defects in their product line. I suggest you avoid them and take your business elsewhere - I know I will.

The owner was quite old when I was regularly going there about ten years ago and I went today and he was still there - zooming around in his electric wheelchair. There is nothing that will separate him from his nursery and his enthusiasm is catching. Customer service here is amazing and any question you have related to gardening will be answered in detail with 100% surety by the staff. They have been in business for years and years and it is clear to see why. The signage hasn't been replaced or updated for quite a few years and is looking pretty worn but don't let that deter you. There is a huge range of plants and seedlings available as well as all the essential fertilizers, rodent pesticides and weed killers. Their plants have always been good value and have always done well when I have followed the planting and care directions provided for each. This nursery is a great business to visit - and I would go there simply for the encouraging atmosphere, let alone the great prices. Check them out.

Have had a couple of things repaired and keys cut here over the years, and have always been happy…read morewith the work and service. Around four weeks ago, I brought in my five year old Daniel Wellington watch to have the glass replaced, due to some fine scratches that had developed over several years of use. After paying $80 for the repair, I picked up the watch a couple of weeks ago. Three days later, when taking it off it fell about 20cm onto my bedside table and smashed instantly. This was a very minor impact that the original glass (and my other watch) have endured many times without issue. This suggested to me that the replacement glass was not strong enough and/or the repair made it more susceptible to breaking. I brought the watch back to the store last week and politely explained that I was unhappy with the quality of the repair and that I didn't believe such a minor impact should cause the glass to smash. Instead of listening to my concerns and trying to find a solution, the owner was extremely rude to me. He kept saying "it wasn't like that when you picked it up, was it?", even though I never suggested that it was returned to me broken. He essentially told me to pay for another repair or go away, and basically started serving another customer before we'd even finished speaking. Everyone (and assumably the owner) knows that watch glass (especially from a brand like Daniel Wellington) is designed to be strong enough to withstand day to day knocks and drops. If it wasn't, then people's watches would be smashing all the time! If replacement glass is lower quality and more likely to crack than the original, then I should have been warned of that beforehand. I tried resolving this a second time by writing an email to the owner, but was just sent a generic reply again refusing to repair the watch for free or offer me a refund. A complaint has now been submitted to Consumer Affairs Victoria. Judging by other negative reviews about the owner's rudeness and attitude, I'm clearly not alone. What a way to lose customers! Will be going somewhere else now.

I had two keys cut from this establishment after getting new locks installed from purchasing a new…read morehome. I gave the owner an original (which worked fine, this was one of the two keys given when the new locks were installed), to make 2 additional copies from. When I got home I tried the two new keys which worked fine. What I didn't realise till days later that the original id given him to copy from now didn't work. It refused to go any further than the first bump. Being new locks I wasn't about to force it and do any potential damage. I returned explaining the situation to which his first response was "it must be your lock". I then asked "how do the copies you made work, yet the copy I gave you stop working after I gave it to you to copy from"? To which he responded "I've been doing this 47 years mate and this has never happened before. It was nothing I did, I traced the key, I didn't even touch it". I said "so I've damaged it then? ok" as I start walking out thinking this guy has no interest in keeping a customer base and why would I make this up? As I'm walking out in disbelief he said " I would have cut you a new copy for free (which he absolutely SHOULD have done) if you'd been nice but you had an attitude so I won't now". Ok buddy, I've got the attitude. I just said "good luck" and will never return. Bloke is clearly incapable of accepting responsibility and I was compelled to share this with anyone considering seeking out this guys services. In one word, avoid.

Once again, these guys are great. It was fixed in a timely manner, they're friendly, helpful, honest and well priced. I always tell people this is where to take your car with tyre issues. Come Summer the growth went nuts and keeping on top of it all just got too hard. Autumn brought with it the challenge of weeds and leaves... I really needed some help! Fortunately I found Matthew and he came and whipped my garden in to shape, cleaning up leaves, pulling weeds and trimming hedges and trees with ease and care. Nothing was too much trouble and he even cleaned up all the green waste! I've since had him back again and really think it was worth every cent to do work that would take me ten times as long. I can now do the low key maintenance and get him in every couple of months to help out on the bigger projects.
