There was no reviews on any of the practices except for 1....David Oman's office, which very surprisingly had 26, 5 star reviews. Seemed kinda sketchy, but decided to give them a shot. I had never been to a chiropractor before, so wasn't 100% sure what to expect. First and foremost they had openings for every single time slot that day, I thought that was convenient, and didn't think much of it. (I now know why nobody is going there and why there is so much availability.) I arrived to the run down musty building and completed the paperwork while I waited in this room. I sat alone in this room wondering if this is what all chiropractors are time machines back to the 1970s, or if this was a one off. Finally, I got a chance to see Dr. Oman. I described the pain I had, and within the first 5 minutes of conversation, he said I needed x-rays (which he doesn't do because he's prone to many mistakes (his words, not mine) so I would have to go to $wedi$h). And followed that up with how I probably needed surgery. Meanwhile, he hasn't looked or touched my back once, just listened to my story. He finally decided he should check it out, but he never removed the greasy paper that was on the chiropractic table to which he apologized and told me to wait while he removed "Richard's Face Grease". I got a quick adjustment which did kinda help, so there was the only plus....He tried to make a follow up appointment for Friday (he was strangely adamant about Friday). I informed him I had obligations to which he kinda just ignored it and kept pushing for Friday. I made the appointment, knowing full well I wouldn't come back just to end this terrible interaction. Fast forward to me getting the bill for this event and I come to find out that you can't pay online. You can't pay over the phone. You can't pay with a card. You have to pay cash. I have since found a chiropractor that I LOVE over in Edmonds, so don't let this be an indictment on all offices. I strongly recommend Dr. Oman listen to his patients more. Modernize (and cleans) the office in some way. Start accepting electric payments of some form. And, again, start listening to his patients. And, although I can't prove this, don't self review your office with 26 5star reviews....no way he had so many and no other office even had 1.

(They call your name, ask what's wrong, crack you accordingly and send you on your way) Dr. Parry's practice is nothing like this. Be expected to be listened to and heard. I was asked to do a series of range of motion tests. He even touched on ligaments and muscles to see where I was at with those systems as well. Then came X-rays. Private room, images processed quickly. I felt comfortable in my gown and during the process. We then went over the X-rays and he explained what's happening, what the effects are and what the plan is to treat it. He even gave me some homework to ensure that my spine progresses efficiently. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Steve Morris was not so stellar. He seems to take a very cookie cutter approach to diagnosis and treatment. (The reason I prefer naturopaths to medical MDs is that I expect them to be more holistic in their approach.) Not too long into my first visit he handed me a lifestyle sheet, essentially an eating and exercise plan, which he said that he recommends to all his patients. He did this prior to understanding my medical history or current condition. When I told him that I was experiencing insomnia, he told me it was from drinking coffee and eating heavy meals at dinner. He pronounced this without asking any additional questions about frequency, when it started, changes in lifestyle, etc. When I told him I was having headaches, he told me it was from dehydration. Again, he made this pronouncement without asking any additional questions like where does it hurt, what type of pain, etc. The nail in the coffin for me was that he gave me iodine pills as a supplement for hypothyroidism. My previous naturopath had never done this so I did some research when I got home. Iodine is only recommended for hypothyroidism when it's caused by iodine deficiency. In fact, excess iodine can make hypothyroidism worse so supplements are not recommended if your iodine levels are normal. Dr. Morris never tested my iodine levels. In addition, iodine is especially not recommended if you have an auto-immune form of hypothyroidism, which I have, which I told him. Cookie cutter approach and lack of thorough investigation is bad enough; prescribing treatment contraindicated for my disease is unacceptable.
