Dr Nick is great! However, today I waited 30 minutes and was still waiting so I left. My time is important too.

PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER THIS FACILITY FOR YOUR LOVED ONE'S NEEDS DUE TO INHUMANE AND ILLEGAL PATIENT…read moreTREATMENT! In April 2014, my brother was a resident at the Pearlview Skilled Nursing facility. He had a horrible experience, which I would like to relate here on Yelp. My brother suffers from an extreme brain injury, and cannot eat, swallow, talk, or communicate in any way. He has become hyperactive, due to this extensive brain damage, and cannot stay still, making him a challenging patient. He is also on tube feedings, which make him susceptible to aspiration pneumonia. At the end of April, my brother contracted pneumonia, while he was a resident at Pearlview. This is a risk that people that are on tube feedings face, so I do not blame Pearlview for this. However, what transpired next is truly INHUMANE and ILLEGAL. When my brother contracted pneumonia, Pearlview sent him to Medina General Hospital. Once admitted, Pealview then informed the hospital that they would NOT take my brother back when he recovered. In other words, they evicted him from the nursing facility, leaving him homeless, WITHOUT NOTICE. According to Pearlview, this was because of his hyperactivity, and they did not feel that they could offer him appropriate care. The staff at Medina General Hospital was then forced into overdrive, trying desperately to find my brother a a skilled care facility that he could go to once he would be discharged. This took over a week, and even though my brother was ready to be discharged, there was nowhere for him to go. (Finally, the hospital social workers found a wonderful nursing home in Hudson, called Hudson Elms, that was happy to take him. Fortunately, my brother has received great care there, from a truly phenomenal staff.) Pearlview Skilled Nursing Facility acted in an inhumane and illegal manner by evicting my brother, refusing to take him back, once discharged from the hospital. While I understand, and agree, that Pearlview could not provide acceptable care for him, it is ILLEGAL to evict a patient from a nursing home without giving 30 day notice. Pearlview did not give notice, shirking their responsibility, and abandoned my brother, a severely brain injured patient without the means to communicate, to Medina General Hospital. This is illegal, immoral, and unethical. As if eviction without notice isn't bad enough, my brother suffered terrible lacerations during his time at Pearlview. The hospital staff was horrified by the state of his wounds when he was admitted from Pearlview and had difficulty believing that any nursing facility would have allowed these wounds to progress to the point where they were upon admission. (I have photos of these wounds, and would be happy to provide them to anyone who is interested.) Once I saw these wounds, I would not have sent my brother back to Pearlview, regardless if they would have taken him or not. However, this does not in any way excuse Pearlview's illegal actions. I have contacted the Ohio Ombudsman program to lodge a complaint against Pearlview. However, I feel compelled to also Yelp about this experience, in hopes that it will save another patient from a horrible experience such as the one suffered by my brother.

Dr. Vicky is a PRO! (All the other staff were great also!)…read more I have always worked and played hard, so my body pays the price, but until a couple weeks ago I could usually fix my aches and muscle tension with some stretching and a massage... Not this time. I woke up one morning in terrible pain after working too hard and getting stressed out and dehydrated, and I couldn't move my entire upper right quadrant (neck/back/shoulder). I spent the next two weeks doing my usually rehydrate, stretch, handfuls of ibuprofen, and a professional massage.... But no dice, the chronic aching and tension never subsided. I was losing sleep and losing patience, so my wife looked up physical therapy near us and found Millennium. Dr. Vicky was my therapist and listened to my entire backlog story on how I ended up this way and what hurt, then started probing and working on the tension, and within 30 min she had my exact problem worked out and proceeded to give me a gradually increasing stretching and strengthening plan. Every member of the staff worked together in a very positive atmosphere of talking and laughing while working with patients and I looked forward to every day of treatment with them. I highly recommend entrusting your body and health to Millennium Rehab and it's people!!!

I have gone to many Physical Therapy places, including those operated by major prestigious hospital…read moresystems. In my experience too many times I found the treatment to be a common set of exercises, time after time. Too many times the results were little or no effect. I found myself asking, "This isn't helping. This is a waste of time". I began to develop a negative opinion towards PT. Yet, my wife experienced very good results and had high praise for the professionals. We went to different places. So I couldn't dismiss it. Many places employ people with the required education, training, and experience. What I have learned is that there are only a few places with people who have something else that enable them to get results where others do not. In sports we call them Champions. I have since found a couple Physical Therapy places that distinguish themselves way above others and who have helped me greatly. Prue Physio is one of them. To me their knowledge level is clearly above other places I have been. While I have conditions that will never go away completely, they have helped me get to an easily manageable place with much welcome relief of stress and pain. Let me emphasize, "What a relief". Everyone was nice and helpful. Everything, scheduling, billing, was quick and easy. At my age, stage in life, I know there will be more issues coming and I'll be going back to Pure Physio because what I'm interested in is results.

I am an old, tired and run-down war horse, driven down by life itself, the flail, mace or pike…read moredriven relentlessly and ever-deeper into my flesh, the ragged claws tearing at my sinews, weakening my gait, yet hurtling me on toward either that great reward, or worse: a long life. So I haul my sorry excuse for a body to North Coast and give the Good Doctor the abridged version: Years of working on concrete floors, on my knees, hauling cast iron pipe, then on weekends, hey! Let's ski Squaw Valley top to bottom couple times! (I can hear the sand in my knees shifting, recalling the moguls, the absurdly long boards, the long drive back to the Bay Area. Ouch.) First, I get a complete food workup and discover that I have two sensitivities, which are usually associated with arthritis. Now, I know what you're thinking, Darlin', and I ain't THAT old. Just because there's snow on the roof... and... uh... It ain't the size of the ocean... but... um... Well, I'm not sure what I was saying, but my food rules are now in place and I'll be a son of a Republican if I don't feel about six or seven decades younger. I may even stand up and wobble in celebration! Oh, and I enjoyed the acupuncture. Really. It has a calming effect while at the same time allowing those unusual electric-like jolts of energy release. I was told, though, that it was their first experience of removing the needles and having vodka spurt out. "If people bring so much courage to this world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry." Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms

Head + heart = healing. That seems to be Dr Tamara's method, which works for us. She's mindful in…read morespeech and action, sensitive to how we describe - and our how our bodies present - our symptoms. I heard she had a relatively new technique for addressing allergies: non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical - just what every mother wants for a suffering child. While Dr Tamara did not promise miracles, the results seemed to be just that. My 8 y.o. daughter had dark circles under her eyes from a week of sleeplessness due to allergies that robbed her of breath at night. We tried all the over-the-counter stuff, from ointments to syrups to chewables. When we walked into Dr Tamara's office, my child was struggling for every breath. We learned her sensitivities were to trees and flowers, not the pollens we had suspected. Thirty minutes later, with a mild sniffle, she could breathe - deep, lung-filled breaths. There were no pills to take, no changes to our daily routines, no side effects. About three months later, the seasonal winds blew in more irritants and my daughter asked to see Dr Tamara again...knowing first-hand the power of her healing methods. Dr Tamara is our first choice health advisor for our family. No matter that her services are not covered by insurance, the fees are affordable especially considering the results (and savings on prescription drugs!).
