That's exactly what I got from here. It's not some fancy spa but they get the job done. My masseuse was a little chatty, but I know some people prefer that. This office offers so many things to do! Plenty of parking in the back. Up front, the reception area is very clean and modern looking. Front desk staff was very friendly. So walking back to my massage, I passed a few exam rooms (chiropractors here) and a yoga studio. The actual massage room didn't have a lot of zen like atmosphere like other places I've been to had. No fancy aromatherapy. There was some faint music in the background. Linens appeared clean. My first masseuse was a young fellow and I was expecting him to be strong but even though I requested he keep massaging harder (i love deep tissue) i wasn't sure if he just didn't want to hurt me but he just didn't get the fact that I wanted a deep tissue massage. If I didn't have the two session deal I would not have come back. Lucky I did though, my second masseuse on another day was Maria. She had the hands and skill of a massage veteran. She could just palpate where all my knots were and I only had to tell her once at the very beginning that I wanted deep tissue massage with hard pressure and she knew what I was looking for. Mission was accomplished here. Will come back for another massage here, but definitely request Maria!

It's varied services bring relief from a vast array of ailments, and it's practitioners are top-notch and friendly. My interest there has lain with Quantum Indigo Biofeedback, a practice I'd read about for years but hadn't tried. As luck would have it the practitioner is a reiki master named Sandy who is a kind, knowledgable, talented person who truly cares about people and their issues. The results garnered have been nothing short of amazing! In addition to attention and treatment of my known ailments, biofeedback has addressed the core factors at play, giving me a much deeper understanding of my body and the toll that every day life takes on it. And with Sandy at the helm of the machine, I always feel that much closer to solving the great mystery of what goes on beneath my body's surface. Do your-self a favor and give biofeedback a try!

I…read morefirst went early in my pregnancy for a prenatal massage because I was experiencing some SI pain and went back a few times for massages throughout my pregnancy because of how wonderful I felt after each one. Every encounter with the front desk and massage therapists left me feeling relaxed and like I got what I needed. I loved that the therapists were very knowledgeable about prenatal massages and I got a great massage/pressure. We also reached out to them for information about birth doulas, and we connected with Risa. Risa was incredibly helpful during our prenatal and labor times and as an outreach in postpartum. Being first-time parents, we had open conversations about what to expect with birth which helped us shape our preferences while knowing things could change at any time; they provided an incredible opportunity for us to ask questions and talk through concerns as we came closer to our due date; and when it came time for delivery, we knew exactly how to contact Risa and be sure of what we needed. At the hospital, having her by our side helped immensely through her vast knowledge and expertise. Risa kept us calm and ready with a positive, upbeat energy and helped navigate obstacles with our medical team as they came up and checked in with us postpartum to see how we were adjusting. We will absolutely recommend Risa to any friends looking for a doula.

Prices are also very reasonable and fair. I had my 2nd appointment on Monday, 6 January 2025 with Dr. Joanna Consiglio, the owner of Modern Motion. My appointment was for a full acupuncture session which lasted for 20 minutes. This was my first full acupuncture session. She first tried to do an AcuGraph test which pinpoints the areas where the needles would be placed on my back (pressure points) but the machine unfortunately wasn't working. So, we continued with my acupuncture session. ACUPUNCTURE -- I laid on my back and small needles were placed on my lower back. One needle was placed on my neck and two needles were each placed on each my feet by my ankles. I laid with the needles on my back for 20 minutes with the lights switched off. I enjoyed the session especially with calming music playing in the background. CUPPING THERAPY -- This reduces muscle pain and increases blood flow. After 10 minutes with the needles on my back, Dr. Joanna entered the room and placed suction cups placed on my upper back. She explained the process as she did it. I then continued laying down with the needles on my back (acupuncture) plus cupping. After my acupuncture session, I was given a complimentary chiropractic adjustment of my back and neck which was very appreciated. DRINKS -- Dr. Joanna always encourages drinking water after a chiropractic and acupuncture session to increase blood flow to the body. She handed me a small bottle of water as I was leaving my appointment. She also has energy drinks available for sale. Before leaving, I purchased a $3 Nooma energy drink from the mini fridge. From my limited time seeing Dr. Joanna, I noticed that she is very knowledgeable about methods to alleviate back pain and other pain. For example, she mentioned at one point during my acupuncture session that we wouldn't place needles (or suction cups, I forgot which) in the thoracic area of my body because that's where the lungs are located. I scheduled my next appointment for February 2025 which will be an acupuncture and chiropractor session combined. I look forward to the appointment.
