The concierge at the JW Marriott recommended this restaurant after I gave the three criteria of this neighborhood, not too fancy, but not too casual. This was the perfect spot and my two friends who live in Malaga loved it!
We decided to order slowly and take our time. We were celebrating so my friends were having champagne and I was enjoying an Albariño.
We started with appetizers.
Once again I ordered artichokes and they were amazing. It was my favorite dish. This version had slivers of jamon on top- it added a special flair to the dish. I like the way the artichokes are served flat in Spain. We also ordered a dish that translated as, "leeks with leeks on leeks". Anyway both my friends loved it and it was their favorite dish! I liked it. The bread was incredible. We also ordered a baked garlic which was halved but described as a spread.
Next, instead of getting main dishes, we ordered the tomato salad. Another delicious dish! The tomatoes were sliced with EVOO and capers. The capers were a size I don't normally see in the US- not small but not real big.
We ended with fresh sliced strawberries and cream. The "cream" was like whipped cream but even thicker and not too sweet.
Service was perfect.
The restaurant is non disrupt from the outside and long shaped. Inside, the ambiance is relaxing and lighting flattering. read more
