09.03.21 Certified by the Guinness World Records

Officially amazing! This was my first time seeing the chocolate fountain and we found it by accident (we were actually looking for Juice Press which was right across the hallway), it is located inside one of the ritziest hotels on The Strip at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. It claimed to be the "World's Largest Chocolate Fountain." The Guinness World Records has certainly certified it. A copy of the certificate is proudly displayed outside of the Patisserie Gourmet Bakery. Details of the chocolate fountain read: "The largest chocolate fountain measures 8m (26-ft, 3-in) tall and circulates 2 tons (4,409-lbs) of chocolate at a rate of 120 quarts per minute. It is displayed at the Bellagio Patisserie (USA) in Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas NV, USA" What an impressive statistic and looks quite amazing! It was created by Jean-Philippe Maury, a French world renowned pastry chef. Can't Touch This... Unfortunately, you can't sneak to dip your fingers into this chocolate fountain, it is placed inside a massive, temperature-controlled glass structure where puddles of milk, dark and white chocolate drip down like a waterfall in fancy glass vessels. It took two years of planning and engineering... and voilà! A masterpiece! Such a beautiful, yummilicious sight to see! Review #2395

Nothing like ending a full day of walking with a delicious macaron and mango+coconut sorbet

After a full day of walking in the Las Vegas heat this place is always a staple when visiting Bellagio.

In the Bellagio are many fountains. Most are beautiful. One spews chocolate. It's something just to pass and glance at. This sounds better than it looks. First you have to know where to go. It's located in the Jean Phillipe Patisserie. This is just past the entrance on the right side. It's protected by a display case. This makes it look less than impressive. It does have a lot of chocolate. It was just lame because the chocolate wasn't even flowing. This was more like a lot of large bowls of chocolate sauce.

Took 2 years to plan and execute! Won the Gold Medal!

Facts: 1. It took 2 years to design and construct 2. There is over 500 feet of stainless steel piping 3. The chocolate goes up 27 feet from underground 4. Dark, medium, and white chocolate flow constantly It's the Largest Chocolate Fountain in the World! Located inside the Bellagio Hotel at the entrance of the Jean Phillipe Patisserie, the 3 different streams of liquefied chocolate flow down from bowl to bowl....from ceiling to floor! It's fascinating and worth a look-see! Too bad we can't touch it or taste it since it's enclosed behind a clear barrier. We'll just have to have a snack at the bakery!

The house is privately owned and it's where many of the things from the Liberace Museum now reside. The tour I took was lead by Jonathan Warren, an expert on the life of Liberace. He's also is an expert in describing the Liberace items in the mansion. The tour lasted three hours and was very informative. The whole hacienda is not covered but the section closest to Palomino Lane is where the Liberace memorabilia is located. Reservations must be made for the tour. I was the only person yesterday because some that were scheduled needed to change their tour date. It was a fantastic tour. I had been to the Liberace Museum before it closed, but I never would know what I do now because of Mr. Warren's encyclopedic memory!

We booked our tickets ahead online because it appeared that in the past they would sell out, but we could have easily purchased them at the door. The museum houses old working and non-working neon signs from Las Vegas past. There's everything from old cleaners signs to old casinos like the Stardust. I highly recommend that you visit at night so that you can see a lot of the boneyard lit up. They offer guided tours but we opted out. There's plenty of signage throughout the museum to give context and history to what you're looking at, although the guided tour would have been cool. We spent about an hour walking amongst the signs and I didn't want it to be over! They have a separate fenced off section with signs that will never light up, but I wish that we could have explored that section as well, since many of the signs that they had on display in the main area also didn't light up. It was so cool to see this piece of Las Vegas history.

It was really cool to see and learn about Vegas's history, and it was fun checking out this spot! Night time 8pm-Midnight is where its at here, doesn't seem like it would be as cool to see during the day. Tickets are overpriced though - you can get a similar experience walking through Downtown Las Vegas/Fremont Street. I fortunately was able to get a $5 discount per ticket for both mine and my friend's ticket (I paid for both of us) with my USC student ID as a graduate student, but the girl selling the tickets got confused when she thought that meant I graduated already - I had to clarify that no, that means I finished my undergraduated (bachelors degree) and am working on my Masters degree.
