It's a family friendly place with lots of stuff to do! I've taken walks around the marina with friends and family during holidays like the Fourth of July. Love coming to the Lake Las Vegas marina. I've been coming here for over 15 years. You can park for free at the Hilton self parking garage. I love to come and walk around and catch the sunset. On weekends they have live bands playing music. It's so Beautiful and serene here. They have water sport rentals. I've been on the lake plenty of times kayaking, paddle boarding, and we've also rented the electric boats. They have two beautiful hotels here in Lake Las Vegas. The Hilton, and The Westin. We love to come and stay for a 3 day weekend staycation at times. They are both really nice, but I really enjoy staying at the Westin, because they have a bigger pool with better pool vibes there! Also love coming to eat at some of the restaurants here. Some of my favorites are Sunrisa Grill, Tokyo Social house, and Mrs. Coco Cafe for breakfast and coffee. They also have a really great dessert/coffee/gelato spot there called Bellalinda. Lake Las Vegas marina is also a beautiful place to come and take professional photos. Blame it on Pauly D! After watching a snippet of the "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" in Lake Las Vegas back in Oct 2020, my interest was piqued! We finally got around to visiting Lake Las Vegas Marina on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9th, and LOVED IT! What a gem. It was such a gorgeous day. Blue skies, small breeze, and sunny, but without the Vegas extreme heat. So, we had a pleasant walk around the marina and village, and finally decided to grab a bite at Luna Ross where we stuffed our faces with pizza and drank sangria. Since our table was outside, we had a wonderful view of the lake and the opportunity to people-watch as what appeared to be local residents zip up and down the paver-stoned path with their golf carts. Already looking forward to a return visit to experience the various water activities such as paddle board, kayak, or electric boat rental! And if you're in need of some last minute supplies, there's a small grocery on-site called Seasons. The Casino on property is not operating at the moment, but that's not why we are here, right?? If an overnight stay is needed, check out the nearby Hilton or Westin. The surrounding residential area includes affordable single family homes, townhouses, ginormous mansions and a golf course. Free parking is available in the structure. The weather is still below 100degF, so why not enjoy the outdoors at Lake Las Vegas!! read more

The area is beautiful to walk around. Barely any retail left, as most closed down but there are many restaurant options. Boat rental is nice but you can't get too close to the edges of the Lake like before since the water level has gone down but still very scenic. I recommend only renting a boat for 1 hr vs the maximum 2, as that is enough time to go around the lake even at a slow speed. $100 for 1 hr and $199 for 2 hours. read more

Lake Las Vegas is such a hidden gem. I remember coming here when I was a kid. My mom would take EVERY visitor we had when we first moved here from Southern California here. And I used to HATE it. Now, as an adult, there's so much more to do and so many more amazing things than what it used to be 18 years ago. During the summer, they have a water sports rental area where you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, boats, etc. They also have a stage out on the water, too, where they tend to have live bands playing in front of a beautiful grass hill, which is perfect for a picnic or grabbing food to go (especially right now if you don't want to dine-in anywhere just yet). There's lots of cute places to shop, eat and drink. There's a delicious pizza place, gelato place and more! I think that gelato place was even around when I was a kid. Lots of memories there. The entire area feels like you are walking through Italy. It's absolutely beautiful. The only thing I will say is that we were with one of my friend's grandfather once and had to make our way down to the marina for the yacht and it was super hard to walk him down the uneven pavement all the way down, so be aware if you aren't completely able-bodied. There is a small parking lot off to the side by a sports shop though so that does make it a little easier. They also have public bathrooms a little around the corner from the ice cream shop, so you don't feel like you have to walk into a business just to use their bathroom. As I get older, I seriously want to move here so I can enjoy it all the time. It really feels like a beautiful little community. We even ran into some friends the last time we went and are looking to go back even this weekend again for some more kayaking. I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot of my summer here this year and i'm not mad about it. read more

Yes, you CAN stand up paddle board in Las Vegas! It's a drive out here, and the area doesn't have much going on besides the surrounding resorts, but call or book online to do some kayaking or SUP on a nice day. If you're not up for that much adventure, you can come and watch the dragon boat practices or contests. The lake is fairly calm, life jackets are available, and lessons are quick. You can come in for a short group or family activity (grab a groupon!) or follow them on social media for special events like night paddles and full moon parties- everything is family friendly and the employees are helpful. Park in the garage (level 5), use the walkway to access the marina area, and it's right on the water. The surrounding area is starting to pick up, and you have a few dining, drinking, and entertainment options to make a day out of it. read more

Very pretty and quite it has some great potential. The little grocery is surprisingly stocked with many things. Grab a cool beverage before taking a walk. It offers live music on weekends amongst a few other offerings. If you want to get away from the always lively Vegas strip you'll want to stay here. Gorgeous views throughout the area and what looks like to be a top notch golf course. The lake offers 320 acres of recreation like kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. If your not staying in any of its resort you should still swing by to soak some quiet beauty. Beautiful scenery and sunsets are practially guaranteed at the marina. If you're here during a weekend concert, it can be even better with live music! The Contessa yacht offers great views of the lake. The yacht did offer public events such as a Sunday brunch cruise and a Wednesday dinner cruise. I've been to these in the past but am unsure if they still offer these cruises. Other water activities are paddle boats, gondola rides and paddle boards, which are availble for rent. The marina is a great place to spend the day enjoying the truly unique scenery at Lake Las Vegas. read more

Went paddle boarding with a group of friends on memorial day. Ended up paying $25/hour for paddle boarding. For two people it ended up being $50 + $10 online processing fee. I suggest that make your reservations online because the prices for walk in are more expensive. You can park in the parking structure which is adjacent to the closed down casino and then make your way down to the marina. They provide you lockers which have more than enough space to hold all your belongings. Just be sure not to lose the keys. The area where the marina is located is actually a bit desolate. I expected way more shops and people, but it was fairly empty (even on memorial day weekend). I think there are two restaurant/bars available for your to grab beers/burgers. All in all, our group had a fun time paddling around the lake and the weather was amazing. read more

Being originally from SoCal - if there's one thing I miss it's water. And being able to do things on the water. Enter Dragon Boating! Every two weeks or so, the Las Vegas Dragon Boat Club holds their open paddle sessions on the lake. For $10.00 (the money supports both the St. Rose Dominican Hospital's women's health program and the dragon boat rentals) you get piled into a narrow dragon boat with other intrepid paddlers and sent out on the glassy surface with a coach who will kick your butt and a steersman. Dragon boating is surprisingly strenuous but the views and the camaraderie more than make up for the pain. The lake is quite large and meanders past the resorts, condos, and mansions that line the shore - a gorgeous way to spend the AM hours on a weekend. Minus one star for the unfortunate capture of debris in the lake after the rains that makes me never want to get the water in my mouth! Yuk! Lake Las Vegas also offer paddle-board and paddle-boat rentals at the dock for those so inclined. read more

Lake Las Vegas Marina is where I recently found a great deal on kayak and paddle board rentals. $20 an hour plus tax, and they offer a military discount! $20 an hour for kayak and paddleboard rentals, which beats the nearby competitor by a bit. No mandatory beginners class either... Don't assume you need one, I was able to hop right on a paddle board with ease! My trip out here was actually quite a let down. It was a Sunday morning and we had no plans and wanted to do something a little different so after seeing a commerical with the sparkling waters and the awesome looking shopping and dining it looked like we had found our Sunday afternoon destination. We loaded up the car and began out 35 minute drive out there to first drive by a completely dead golf course on the way in, which we let go since we had not made the trip out there to golf. Following the signs it led us to the casino parking garage and we thought we had made it to this awesome desert oasis. This is when things went south, It is very unfortunate because this could be a great place but walking through the shopping area was like watching disney's Cars when they all freak out because they have customers coming down the street. It really felt that way, Most of the buildings are vacant and the few that were not had the shop owners/keepers sitting out front basically asking you to come inside and look around. It was more of the PLEEEAAASSSEEE come in, not a hey, how is your afternoon come take a look. I did feel a little dooped into coming out there, the TV commercial that aired showed this amazing lively happening place to go and that could not have been further from the truth. Used to come here to rent one of the electric boats and go for a cruise on the lake... Unfortunately the company In Charge has not invested in keeping the boats up to date and the whole place looks terrible... The boats need major repairs the upholstery in all boats are either torn, ripped or dirty food stains? The radios are all broken, the one we rented had no working gauges so you don't even know if the battery is charged. For$65 an hour? I expected something way better. read more

Super sad about the neon ice skating. I had family in town for the holidays and my daughter wanted to go ice skating. We tried in 3 separate occasions to do this. Granted, once was my fault, I didn't realize you were closed on Tuesdays. But the other two times you were closed during posted hours! One such time we were there at 9 pm and you were closed although your site said this was a skate time. New Year's Day I was particularly miffed because I came in on NYE and asked about hours for New Year's Day and the gal said noon to 10pm. I then called that morning at about 10:30 ish and asked the same question and received the same answer. So we went at noon. We literally stood around waiting for 50 minutes til 12:50 and the gal said soon. We left. My family is back home now, but seriously, what a disappointment. read more

Total ripoff! We rented 2 electric boats and a paddle boat. 15 minutes into our rental a thunderstorm moved in quickly. The marina staff came out on a boat and asked us all to return immediately. He promised to "make it right" with all of us. We went to the boathouse after the storm eased up and the same staff member refused to refund any of our money or give us another rental. He couldn't have cared less that we wasted $128 on a 15 minute rental. We also talked to the Montelago Village staff but they said they had no affiliation with the marina. We were very disappointed in the lack of customer service! read more

We had reservations in mid-2014 to stay here but military duty called and our plans were canceled. This past trip to Vegas we decided to head out to LLV and see what we had missed. Very nice, clean property. Very well maintained- green grass, no trash. We had lunch at the Irish Pub (they have really good french fries!). Didn't like how almost everyone there had a dog with them, so you were constantly hearing dogs barking and dogs growling/ fighting. Plus, there's people there, letting their dogs pee on everything. Pretty gross. Especially when you're eating. There were 3 shops open, that we could see. The casino is closed. Has been since 2013.... which they never told us when we'd booked our room last year. Hmmmmm. One doesn't have to be an accountant to realize that the rent is sky high there, hence, why no business' have moved in. So it basically looks like a deserted town with people walking dogs all over the place. We rented an electric boat. From reading other reviews, I see the rent price has gone up by $20. It is now $80 an hour to rent a boat. Keep raising that price and you'll have no one renting anything from you. The electric boat was very nice though. Looked brand new. Drove great. Had an AUX cable so you can connect your phone or iPod and listen to your own music. It takes about the whole hour to go from one end of the lake and back. Public bathrooms would be nice here. Seeing as how 99.9% of the place is empty/ closed. We'd consider staying her, in the future, if there was more to do. Someone- please buy this property and make it a destination vacation spot!!! read more
