I wasn't super impressed with the 2 chocolate goods we purchased, but the reason for the 4 stars as well as the reason we would go back to try more things is because of the chocolate coffee we had. I can't remember the exact name, or what was in it other than coffee and hot chocolate, but wow! It was amazingly rich, yet that richness was tamed by the flavor of the coffee. If we lived closer I would honestly be having another one right now. As far as the chocolates we purchased go on the other hand, the chocolate bark with pop rocks was just okay. The pop rocks really gave it some character and it was legitimately fun to eat, but the chocolate flavor was just average. The peanut butter chocolate ball was a big let down. Of course this is all dependent on taste, but it was a very very thin layer of chocolate over the peanut butter, and sadly the peanut butter wasn't really contributing anything to the party. The taste wasn't rich, salty, or in any way stand out. Again it was okay but not something we would get again. Overall, definitely want to go back to try more, and absolutely recommended for a quick stop in to try some treats, especially the chocolate coffee! read more

Wow wow wow! This is chocolate at its best-and here in Bethlehem PA! So much to choose from-you can't go wrong. Salted caramels and maple bourbon are a couple of current favorites but there is something for all chocolate lovers here! I wanted to try the fluffernutter cups but prices are a little steep for me. They had all sorts of different variations of chocolates. Like chocolate covered figs and pears, jars of different flavored truffles, pop rock chocolate bark and pecan turtles and cashew turtles the size of small plates. My mouth was drooling. Smores pops, chocolate covered pretzels. The list goes on. Definitely would like to go back and try the fluffernutter cups and the black raspberry cups oh and the chocolate covered figs. Wow!! Five-Star service! Five-Star DELICIOUS!! My husband and I came here from Las Vegas and were enjoying the downtown shops. We happened to walk into this AMAZING chocolate shop and after walking out and taking a bite of our salted carmel squares walked back in and bought over a pound of truffles, turtles and more salted caramel squares!! A candy shop that is rude to children. This business won't last long. I have actually been there in the past. I had a not so great experience, but figured the staff may have been having a bad day. After seeing the review on Facebook and the shocking response, I assume this is just normal business practice. So I will now review without feeling any remorse. I walked into the store, and everything looked pretty. I began to take a closer look in the cabinets and quickly realized that this chocolate was extremely overpriced. A nice little chocolate shop. I was disappointed with their truffles though. They had a very thin chocolate coating. They also had an almost nougaty filling that didn't satisfy. The peanut butter truffle didn't have a good peanut flavor, and the orange tasted like an orange orange dreamsicle. The chocolate is pretty good. My husband enjoyed the raspberry cream filled dark chocolate. I liked the crunchy coconut peanut butter thing that tasted like a Butterfinger... The dark chocolate one is better than the milk chocolate. I will be back for more... Tomorrow :) Chocolate turtles are delicious! I don't care for the coconut stacks so much, just my opinion. On a return visit- I noticed blood orange truffles and lavender truffles during this visit and am excited to try them. Also, the Zinger caught my eye. It's chocolate covered caramel that's been topped with salt. I just ate a peanut butter ball... YES I noticed a few employees busy in the back making chocolate. The owner was consulting with a customer about a special order. She really took her time with her to ensure she got exactly what she wanted. I wasn't in a hurry so I waited patiently. Before I knew it, someone had come from the back to help me check out. I noticed a few reviews mentioning poor customer service. I thought they did a great job. If I were the woman with the special order, I would have felt very attended to and cared about. If you have ever made candy or cooked anything before, you know that walking away at any old time is not an option. Patience is something we should all work on in a world full of instant gratification. And to the people that think it's expensive... yes, it is. If you wanted to do it yourself, go ahead. Stopped there on a walk back from lunch. Went into the shop and a guy with a LARGE dog was there ahead of me (later found out it was one of the owners of American Hairlines) The woman clerk refused to even acknowledge I was there and proceeded in a long conversation with the guy with the LARGE dog-did I say that it was LARGE? She totally ignored me and then proceeded to pet the dog in the store. Health code violation? Perhaps... Oh! And she was dressed slopily with the crack of her arse sticking out. Finally the guy left and I still stood around waiting for help for another 10 minutes while she talked on the phone. I really wanted to see how long it would take her to wait on me. She finally did and I asked her if she had washed her hands after touching the dog. She said she did but put on plastic gloves at my insistence. Basically, here it is: the service is mostly not very friendly. I've been here maybe five times, and none of those times was I especially happy with how I was greeted or served. No friendly banter, etc. And yes, it's pricey.... but I really only come here for a couple of specific things. The Chocolate Covered Sea-Salt Caramels.... they're handmade, and they're delicious, whether in milk or dark chocolate. Oh, man, I crave these little guys every few weeks, if you know what I mean? Absolutely amazing candy!! It is pricey, but what isn't today? I needed a present for my fussy father in law that is a chocoholic LOL and he said this was the best chocolate he has had in 30 years! He said it's like how they used to make it! Not the poor quality garbage that companies make today. The store is small and it gets cramped lol but it is worth it! I buy the milk Choc caramels, Sea salt caramels, and Choc covered coconut and it never lasts more than a day! I just love this stores hand made chocolates! Worth every penny! EDIT: I recently went back for more chocolates and spent $50 and they all were stale! The last couple of times I went in the lady took them all from the back. This time the girl took them all from the front case and they were all hard and not tasty at all. Kinda annoyed I wasted $50 on stale chocolates now. I'm eating a chocolate covered Nutter Butter from here as I write this review. I love the chocolate here. It's so smooth, creamy, rich, and delicious. There's a wide variety of choices from standard (chocolate covered Oreos, truffles, etc.) to eccentric (pop rock milk chocolate). It's pricey though, so I only pick up a few things at a time. However, I do like these chocolates as gifts for others (or a gift to myself after a particularly good or bad week). The woman behind the counter is quite nice, eccentric even. The chocolates here are all handmade and delicious. The shop has an overwhelming smell of chocolate inside, which immediately triggers impulse buys. My favorite item, far and away, is the champagne truffle. They aren't cheap, at $15.00 for a half dozen. They are a wonderful handmade, boutique chocolate. The service is personal and friendly. They care about their customers and their product. When in the Bethlehem area, they are worth a look if you are in the market for a boutique chocolatier. My uncle mentioned that his meeting with the chocolatier Arlene was so pleasant and he described her as thoughtful and warm- he also mentioned to me that the shop keeper has been getting bullied on Yelp wrongfully. Fantastic!! I stopped here enroute to see my niece in NYC. Wanted to get ther a hostess gift and since she can't drink wine currently I figured what else... chocolate!!! The owner was in view actually making the treats as I browsed. I ended up getting my niece a gift box - resonably priced for handmade chocolate - and got some salted dark chocolate caramels and a dark chocolate peanut butter ball for myself. The quality was intensely good - suck your fingers like a little kid good. When I said I'd be in the car for hours with stops and expressed a concern about the gift melting the owner even gave me a cold pack (at no added charge) which kept everything in good shape. great place to go when you're not feeling like having truffles but still want chocolate. sure, they have truffles here, but there's lots of other stuff like: chocolate covered oreos. i always felt like oreos are too dry tasting. if you get the double stuff oreos, the extra junk on the inside helped that but they don't make those anymore, do they? anyway, the people here put just the right amount of dark chocolate around an oreo to elevate it into something else: something i would like to eat (a lot) more of. they also had them dipped in other kinds of chocolate. inside out peanut butter cups. if you've ever wondered what it would be like to have a peanut butter cup that has the chocolate on the inside and the peanut butter on the outside, here is your opportunity. oh, and here's a question: how did they thicken the peanut butter up enough to coat the outside without it being sticky? i really should have asked them that, they were friendly and helpful and i'm sure they would have answered me. dark chocolate balls with peanut butter centers (also in different chocolate outsides) - thin chocolate coating over a large mound of peanut butter. good stuff. GIANT pecan turtles. this was supposed to be their best seller and i didn't try it. i wanted to, but couldn't justify getting one considering how big they were. they looked amazing though. hawaiian sea salt caramels. the only real 'miss' for me from what i tried. wasn't crazy about the shape (small square), the caramel, and it could have used more salt. everything is 18.95 a pound. five good size confections came out to about 8.00. my favorite thing about this place was that they offered me napkins with my bag in case i wanted to snack on the go. they knew.
