INCREDIBLE BRIOCHE. You must come here! We came here three times on our trip of five days. Get the pink praline brioche. We had no idea what this was, but one bite, and you're hooked it. The pink brioches are their best seller, and you can watch the bakers working so hard to keep up with demand and churn them out in the back. Smell the brioche. Touch the brioche. Taste the brioche. Fluffy, doughy, the pralines are a taste I've never tasted before. We didn't try the chocolate brioche since it was less novel, but this praline brioche? Wow. 5 stars!!!!!!!!

I tried a handful of Paris's best to offer bakeries and this place was hands down the BEST one! Me and my boyfriend have different interest when it comes to eating sweets. He favors flakey buttery bread (such as croissants) and I favor extremely sweet moist bread (such as chocolate cake). Fortunately, this place had something we both enjoyed eating-the praluline. It has became both of our favorite pastry in the world! I highly recommend trying it when you find yourself in France.

Small and friendly - a great place to pick up high quality chocolate! 100g chocolate bars were 5 euros each, and they also have an assortment of variety packs if you want to try more of their bars. The woman helping me was very friendly and I sampled a lot before making my decision. ALSO don't miss the Praluline - brioche with pink sugar praline dispersed throughout. So delicious and equally as pretty. Very centrally located near Le Marais/Les Halles, and right next to Centre Pompidou!

you do not know brioche if you think it is good here. please do yourself a favour and go to du pain et des idees if you want to experience a real brioche. I assume anyone who gives this place good ratings just doesn't know any better YET. You would expect this place to be good if their main single product is brioche. but nooooooo. Not only that but the chocolate they use in it is not even good. I am a bit biased because it is dark chocolate which I don't like, but legit its chocolate chips that I can buy from the supermarket in those bags to make muffins/cakes with. I do have to say though that there are a TON of chocolate bits so that is probably a huge bonus for some people.

La Praluline is about as good as it gets. Brioche with pink sugar pralines and hazelnuts. Don't miss this treat.

The brioche is rich yet light and fluffy, and the bits of pink sugared nuts are delicious but not cloyingly sweet.

I purchased 3 bars: one for myself and two as gifts. I am eating the Ecuador 70%. I wish I could've sampled the chocolates in the store to know which ones I should buy. This one is a 7/10. I've had better chocolates. This one is a little waxy almost. Doesn't melt super well. Is sweeter than expected and I'm not picking up the notes very well. The staff were friendly and explained about the chocolates when I asked. We were offered a sample and I asked if they had hazelnuts so my friend with an allergy couldn't have it. The store was cool inside with chocolate sculptures. I enjoyed Chapon Chocolate a bit better!

This spot at the Carrousel du Louvre is a full service shop that gives out samples and allows you to build a box rather than just grab a premade assortment from a kiosk. I say this because we walked all over on our last day (wanting to make our own boxes) so we found out where the full-service shops were. The people who work here are very patient and kind while you make your selections. And of course, it's fun to sample the decadent merchandise. I highly recommend the Maracuja (dark chocolate w/ passionfruit pulp ) or the Salvador (dark chocolate ganache w/raspberry pulp). We made the mistake of turning our kids into chocaholics so we had to pay the price and bring them both home a box. Couldn't forget one for ourselves either. Each box comes with a handy picture guide so you can identify the merchandise. Or just pop one in your mouth and be happily surprised.

They are just dry and nasty most of the time lol But in Paris, I decided to give them a try! And I am glad I did. They tasted so good! Seriously, they were delightful little treats. The inside of the macaroons was moist and flavorful, while the outside had a nice firm texture. So good! I almost ate an entire dozen of those by myself! lol My fiancé was not super motivated to try one (probably because they suck in the US), and I kept telling him how good they are. Finally, he tried one and was shocked at how good it was too! They are not cheap. But worth it for a decent macaroon. I can't eat macaroons in the states now lol Ruined me for life. lol

Pierre Hermé If you…read moreknow Pierre Hermé from social media and all the viral videos, then this review needs no introduction. But if you haven't, this is a strong contender for worthy macarons in Paris and at a convenient location across the street from Ladurée. Located inside L'Occitane in the most gorgeous floor space ever, you will find Pierre Hermé at the center of it all. They have an impressive array of flavors that were much more unique than other patisseries. I definitely asked for a few recommendations as well since I tend to order the same thing (pistachio, raspberry, lemon, etc.) The workers were very kind. They indulged my request to converse in French and corrected me in a respectful and endearing way (I know some people get upset at this idea but I personally prefer it.) I had ordered a dozen macarons but truthfully would've ordered the entire lot if I wasn't alone and especially if I wasn't already taking a ton of sweets back for my flight home. I am a Ladurée purist and what I can say is that Pierre Hermé definitely had the best and most unique flavors compared to the two. The prices are fairly comparable and the coffrets are just as tasteful. Both are strong contenders and worthy of your money. I certainly will be returning and look forward to trying the rest of their selection. (15/50--2025)

Pierre Hermé is home to some of the best macarons I've had in my life -- which is probably too many for the good of my health -- and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the macarons, the staff's attention to detail, and all the unique flavors this shop had to offer. As a popular macaron shop in one of the hottest tourist destinations in Paris, this location is undeniably crowded. There's usually a huge line circling around a central display of macaron after macaron. The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu. My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness. It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured Champs Elysée.
