Monica is AMAZING. Not only does she have a ton of nail experience she takes her time and you'll leave with EXACTLY what you want. She uses the high quality CND products (shellac, acrylic etc) and her prices are very reasonable for what you are getting. I have referred so many people to her and they all rave about how good she is too. But, it's not just Monica.. The entire CCB staff is SO sweet and personable. I am very low maintenance, work from home mid thirty year old. I have never wanted to be a "salon regular", rather just opting for cuts at basic places like Great Clips. And coloring my hair?!? No way--I would have to maintain it! Then, one day, I decided I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Since CC&B was so close to my house, I decided to make an appointment. In consulting with Cambre, I laid it out: I want something that I will not HAVE to come back again in 6 weeks, I want low maintence, and...a new style. I voiced how it is hard to get a salon look from home the few times I do style it, and how I have been frustrated in the past trying to replicate the salon look. I was amazed. Cambre actually listened to me and did an AMAZING job with my color; so well blended that you can't see roots while it grows, and found a color that complimented me so well. I have seen her twice now, and have not been disappointed. She definitely is a talented colorist and stylist. She has taught me tricks on how to style my hair, with positive results on my own. I recently saw a friend of mine the other day--one I have last seen 6-7 weeks ago, and she complimented my hair AGAIN--even though it has been 12 weeks since I have had it done! I love Kristina and she is truly a miracle worker!! I would give the salon 5 stars but have had a couple bad experiences when trying to get a pedicure. I was told they were going to see what they could do about the situation but never heard from the owners. So after feeling like my business didn't matter I stopped going. After moving people wonder why I still make the drive out here...well its basically the best salon Ive been to since moving here. Ive been to salon 7, super cuts and everything in between but Kristina is the only one I trust. She always has so much fun doing my hair and im always satisfied. Shes awesome for edgy cuts and will today have you feeling like a life long friend by the end of it. They always communicate well, via calls and texts (if signed up for) and are always super lovely. I went to a new salon last week and got a full balayage and cut. It was badly botched: damage to my hair, uneven cut, and bad color. My mom suggested a visit to Cherries, Chocolates and Blondes to get corrective color. My stylist was Kia and she is obviously a pro. She really took the time to talk to me, figure out what had been done incorrectly, and the best method to fix it. My damaged, rose brown balayage is now a beautiful chocolate and feels so much healthier. I absolutely love my cut, it's even better than I had envisoned! So glad to have found my new stylist! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If I could give no stars, I would. I got my hair done by Kayla and she swore she knew what she was doing and totally destroyed my hair. The owner, Tesseny was there and did not seem to care and they still made me pay full price for the service. It was terrible. My hair is still destroyed over a year later and I hear Kayla no longer works there, thankfully. But wherever she went, she should not have a hair license, she really is TERRIBLE! Let me start off by saying been there once and they did a great job but after that it was all down hill. My mother and I went to get our hair dyed and cut together but wanted it done by the same lady. They said no problem. We get there she starts my moms color and then mine and she was never seen again. My color turned out being a bark brown also black when I wanted light brown. I started crying right away and was never upset. Everyone at the place new but didn't do much to fix it. They stripped my hair which then turn out to be a copper red color (told my hair stylist before she did anything that I had copper and red but end up getting both) that all took about 5 hours and by that time my head was burning from all the stuff they used to strip my hair. My hair styles returns to cut my hair for 5 minutes messing up my bangs, doesn't style my hair and then tells me it's $140 for my hair cut. I later companied to the manager and found out that the own was there the whole time and did nothing about my hair. I then had to call my bank to get my money back. I work for the family business in maple valley and lived in this hair since I was born. Everyone that came into the chevron and seen my hair new where I got it done. read more

I went to this salon to get a bikini wax and it was the absolute worst wax ever! I went the day before Valentine's Day to get a Brazilian bikini wax. They use a soft wax and a hard wax. She started with the soft wax which didn't remove any hair. So then she used the hard wax. Basically I got waxed twice!! She pulled the wax off so slowly. After she was "done" there were still a lot hair left on me...a lot of hair. All I can say is do NOT go here for a wax unless you want to go through pain and still be left with hair. read more

Completely disappointed! I was not going to publicly share my story but after I called yesterday morning at 9 am for a manager to call me back and did not receive a call from anyone I decided to let everyone know about this place! I used to go there and love my service from Kia ! It's been years since I had been there I saw it in groupon and decided to give it a try again. I ordered the full foil, haircut, deep conditioner and style. I received 2 of those in 4hours 15 min!! Yes !! Over 4 hours for foil and hair cut! I got there at 6 pm and a sweet girl was my stylist I don't blame her.. She was brand new I don't think she should have her license at all, my 12 year old could do it better and faster! My hair is hideous both cut and color! I did not leave the salon until 10:15!! I was going to give them a chance to fix it however not receiving a call yesterday let me know I would rather pay to get my hair fixed and let everyone I know know about this place, I have been in the area for many many years and will defiantly make a difference! read more

Unbelievable! I have been getting eyelash extensions in Bellevue for a while now and my husband is getting fed up at the prices I have been paying. I heard about Chocolates and Blondes from a customer of mine. Her lashes looked amazing and were way fuller than mine. Although I was nervous that there prices were so low I decided to give it a shot and hoped for the best. Looove my lashes!!!! Not only did Ashley do an AMAZING job, she did not charge me to fix my old set. She basically gave me a whole new set for less than a price of a fill at the place I usually go. I went in and had Ashley cut my hair. I am getting ready to have surgery on my shoulder and needed a easy to manage hair style and cut. Ashley was AMAZING. She gave me one of the cutest cuts I have ever had and I will be able to wash and brush and walk away when I only have 1 arm to do my hair. She was sweet and even told me to come in after surgery and she would help me wash it and style it so I would look and feel my best. Worth the drive! I have been coming here for about a year and I have to say, I love this place! I moved down to South King County about a year ago and it is always difficult to find a new place to get your hair done. From my first visit, to my most recent visit, I have always received the best care and leave looking like a million bucks! I see Cambre and what I like most about my experience with her is she really listens to what I want and then gives me exactly the haircut, or color I'm looking for. I went to the salon Chocolates Cherries and Blondes because I was feeling so down about myself and needed a make over. I got my hair cut, dyed, styled, make up done, eyelashes, wax, you name it. My stylist Ashley is amazing ! She was so sweet and kind and for the first time in years made me feel beautiful again. She is one of the best stylists around. She takes her time, listens to what you want and even shows you how to do things yourself so you can look just as good everyday as you did when you left the salon. Monica is the best nail artist!!! Before coming to her my shellac would only last about 3 days, now I can go about 3 weeks. She's always going to nail classes to keep up on the latest technologies and discussing my unique soft nails to get them to last as long as possible; which has saved me a lot of money over the last year. new to the area and tried this place. my haircut and style was decent, but i got a very bad balayage color treatment. my hair had stripes, was splotchy and spotty and very solid i color. the technique was terrible. when i got home i noticed that my shirt was completely bleached in the back, they did not use plastic wrap or foils on my hair, and my hair is longer than the protective cape, therefor it touched my back and ruined my shirt. normally i would let the salon know, but i have so little confidence that they would be able to fix this disaster that i went to a different salon to have my hair fixed. it looks better, but will still need another visit with a professional stylist to get it close to where it was before i went to chocolates, cherries and blondes. so sad and disappointed, i left with ruined hair. read more

My friend, Dani, who is a very talented and well educated hairstylist at Chocolates, Cherries and Blondes referred me to there lash specialist, Rayanna. After a few not so good lash experiences in Maple Valley, I booked an appointment with Rayanna. The salon is small and intimate. The girls at the front desk are always friendly and welcoming and the mimosa was an added touch ;) Rayanna is a sweetheart, she has her own private room where she delivers a 5 star service. Her lash sets and fills are relaxing, painless and very detail orientated. She is a perfectionist and the health of your lashes are her top priority. She is so accommodating when scheduling and listens to your wants and needs. I have and would refer anyone to her that wants high quality, precise, beautiful lashes. read more
