Dr D Butts was wonderful, very efficient and pro active. he also did a great job stitching up the wounds. the staff set up the additional shots that were needed and handled all of that. our visit was as good as it could be under the circumstances and the staff was wonderful. we were very thankful for them and their quick action.

Walking into the ER, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was put into a room and was in excruciating pain. 2 People looked at my throat and next thing I know, every doctor and nurse is coming in saying "I gotta hear what all the talk is about. I've heard your tonsil is really infected; let me see how bad it is". I felt like a circus animal with the multiple staff coming in the room looking at my throat because "it was all the talk in the ER". While all the staff is coming in, no one gave me anything for pain relief or to just feel comfortable in general. Finally a nurse came in to get some blood and was extremely rude about it. It was midnight and the ER was dead, I could see the staff from outside my door just talking and rolling around in their chairs. Now, i'm not a big needle girl and was obviously anxious; the nurse said that I needed to get over myself because there was an "ER full of patients and I was wasting time". He took the blood, but messed it up, so someone had to come back in and redo it. Finally, someone put an IV in and I was expecting to get something for the excruciating pain I was noticeably in. I didn't. They left the IV in me, but had it hooked up to nothing. The CT was good, the nurse who did that was very polite and informative on what was going to happen. I get back to my room and waited for about an hour, still nothing hooked up to the IV. Finally, the doctor came in and explained what was wrong and that I may need emergency surgery that night. At this point its 1:45 in the morning and i've yet to get any information or assistance. Around 2:15, they hooked me up to an antibiotic and pain medicine. I felt a bit better, but was still in a lot of pain. When the doctor came in, I informed him of the pain I was still experiencing and asked if they could do anything else to help. Instead of being kind about it, he got up in my face and shouted "NO! No more medicine" then walked out and slammed the door. Now hear me out, I completely understand there is the occasional person who's addicted to hard pain relievers, but I can assure you i'm not one of them. Also, it's not like they had been giving me medicine all night, it took about 3 hours for someone to give me even a bit. I have been sick for a week and the hospital was my 3rd day in a row seeking medical treatment for my throat and the pain which causes breathing, talking, swallowing, and even moving my head in general to hurt. I sat there from 10:30pm to 2:15am willing to get pain relief in anyway. Overall, it was an odd experience. The man who did my CT and the two female nurses were very kind and helped ease the anxietys. I understand things don't happen within the blink of an eye in the ER, but to leave a scared, young woman alone and in pain for several hours is ridiculous. I was and frankly still am in pain. I didn't even demand medicine, a pillow to prop my head up or some water (which I asked for multiple times but never got) would've helped more than I could describe.

I couldn't believe this happened I don't know how she still has a job I have heard her complain about working at the er how she thinks she has seniority so she should be at the noxapater clinic I thought why so you can go grab all your tomatoes from home and have a chow down!!! The other compliant I have is Dr ard what does he have a.d.d he can't seem to focus and he has to touch everything in the room before he talks to you it was really awkward. Last but by far not the least is Dr lishman he's from the Philadelphia er and he is a total creeper he have my mom stitches that were not even tied her regular Dr was like who did this to you and said that it looked like a kid did them she still has problems with her foot to this day he has no bedside manner what so ever and don't her in the way of his hummer or he may run you over he is one of the rudest creeping doctors I have ever met.
