I gave these people two almost brand new sofas, both of which I only had for 3 years. I both them brand new from Rooms To Go. Both were leather sectionals. One was fully electically operated with all the seats reclining and cup holders in the middle with led lights on the bottom which had the options of blue or red color. The other was a leather sectional that was in my formal front living room and no one used it except for the holidays or rear occasions when I sat in it. I moved, and the living room space that I had was too small for these sofas, so I asked the cashier at Choice furniture if they sell them for me I would be willing to take a percentage of the sale. I brought both of the sofa to the location off us hwy 1. they were both listed at over $4000 the same price as what I bought them for which I taught was odd, but that was not my call. Every time I went to the store I saw both of them for about a year, until I went back to the store and did not see them anymore. I asked the manager about my percentage, but was told to call their accounting office. I called and was told that they would reach out to me. No one every got back to me. I have photos of SOLD items and text msgs from them that they w be sending me checks for XYZ.. This was July of 2025! Guess what, I have received one check for $162.oo for "auction items" and another $96 for some other "small items" .. I guess as a buyer yes it's a good place to go since they don't pay their consignors. I was told in September that i will be getting checks for: $275 and $380 and $300 and $45 and $40 and $299 and $275 for a different beautiful piece of furniture that they sold and $250 and $688 and another $485.20 that they will be "processing" in October of 2025. and there are other pieces that i know they SOLD bc i have pictures of their "sold" sign... so far they have screwed me of over $3,000 that they never paid me. I popped by a few days later and took picture of their sales tags listing three pieces for $8000 together yet after everything was said and done magically I received $993 total after months of calling after I knew they sold. Despite being warned by others I consigned practically a home full of very nice furniture and accessories in August and September 2025. I know that two leather and fabric sofas, an area rug and a large picture were sold within days because I stopped by the shop and there were sold signs on all 4 items. The policy is that a check is cut for sold items the month after the sale is made. So far, despite many attempts, I have not received a penny. When you call the accounting department you leave a message that is never returned. The owner, Mary Jo Thiboult is not there whenever I call and the unfortunate employee who answers the phone must take the abuse from callers like me who have run out of patience with the whole deal. We know many of the pieces were sold but have never received any payments from the sales. Choice Furniture in Stuart FL sold my furniture on consignment in early March. Although I have made contact with them by text and Facebook (they won't pick up their telephone and speak to me voice to voice), they have yet to pay me. The consignment agreement says they have 180 days to pay me. That will be up in fewer than 60 days. I have an attorney who will work with me to get paid. Be very careful about dealing with the Choice.l Auction gallery in Stuart on Federal Highway. They consigned my furniture in March. We have a contract for them to pay me 50% when they sell the furniture. They notified me in early May that the furniture had been sold for about half of what the original price was and they would be sending me a check by the end of the month. Very frustrated with stores accounting/customer service practice. Very unprofessional business standards. Absolutely no follow through once consignment item sold. They very nice at the beginning when it came to us buying furniture from them, and signing the sales agreement for them to sell and profit from our item. Once your items sells and the money is on their side, their customer service comes to an abrupt end. They sold my item January 2020 and I have yet to be paid. On January 3, 2020 I signed a consignment agreement with Choice Furniture Gallery. On Wed, January 8, 2020, they picked up my Leather Natuzzi Sleeper Sofa for consignment. I randomly visited the store at the end of January and noticed that the sofa was no longer on display. At that time, we were informed by an employee, Randi Wilson (Sales Person) that the sofa was a hit and had sold within two weeks. With a copy of our contract in hand, she went behind the counter and conferred with the owner (a woman), Randi then informed me that the accounting department would soon be contacting me in order to proceed with payment. Choice Furniture never contacted me to let us know that that the item had been sold and the accounting department never reached out. The name of the sales person on our contract is Ms. Randi Wilson. Over the last 7 months, I have made multiple monthly attempts to collect my payment. I have spoken to the billing person (Heather), I have left several voice messages, I have exchanged text messages with the store (which I have saved), I have personally visited the store, I have met with the owner, etc. etc. etc. Every single time, I have been given the run-around. On Monday, June 15, my husband and I visited the store once again. This time, we spoke to a man that claimed to be the owner. Please note, that we had already spoken the wife, owner. Once again, we were given excuses as to why we were not being contacted and why we had not received payment. This time, the owner personally assured us that he himself would be handling the matter. Today is Saturday, July 11th, just 4 days shy of 1 full month since our last contact with this business and we have yet to receive any information or be contacted by the store. They have proven to be extremely unprofessional and unreliable. Because they are a local, family owned business, we have consistently, given them the benefit of doubt. Consistently, the store employees and owners have eluded due diligence and their financial obligations to us and to this transaction. Over a year ago I entered into a contract with Choice Furniture to sell a large amount of furniture. In August of 2024 they sent me a statement showing what had sold and my pay out amounts. There were 2 checks listed. To date, over a year later, I have received one (1) payment for just over $300. I had this auction house pick up my patio furniture in June of 2019. They sold the furniture and in accordance with the contract I signed. There was a 6 month waiting period for my portion of the sale price. To date I have not received a check and their accounting department does not return my calls.
