I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Premiere Choice Live Scan (formerly located on…read moreAtlantic Ave. in Long Beach, now in Gardena). I initially visited this business to complete a Live Scan submission for my Physical Therapy licensure application. During the appointment, the Live Scan operator, Valeria, appeared rushed throughout the process. While completing the paperwork, errors were made, including issues with information related to my licensure application. As a customer relying on accurate processing for a professional license, this immediately raised concerns regarding the attention to detail being given to my submission. Unfortunately, the situation became much more serious when my fingerprints were later rejected. I currently reside outside of California and was forced to purchase a flight costing approximately $700 in order to return and have my fingerprints resubmitted. The financial burden, stress, and inconvenience caused by this situation were significant. After the resubmission, I learned that there was still an issue associated with the Live Scan submission. I was informed that the rejection involved a quality control-related error connected to information that should have been properly entered by the Live Scan operator. According to the agency handling my licensure application, this type of issue was unusual and created additional delays in my licensing process. What has been even more frustrating than the original error has been the lack of communication afterward. I spoke with Stacey, who advised me that she would contact me the following morning to assist with resolving the matter. Unfortunately, I never received the promised follow-up communication. Since then, I have attempted to contact the office repeatedly. I have called more than 25 times over the course of approximately two hours without receiving assistance. I was informed that staff were on break, but as a customer dealing with a time-sensitive licensure issue that has already cost me substantial money and delayed my professional career, the inability to reach anyone for help has been extremely frustrating. The overall customer service experience has left me feeling ignored and unsupported during a situation that was not caused by me. As someone pursuing professional licensure, accuracy and responsiveness are critical, and I did not receive either. Instead, I experienced repeated errors, significant delays, unexpected travel expenses, and a lack of communication when I attempted to seek assistance. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly encourage anyone using this business for Physical Therapy licensure or other professional licensing Live Scan services to carefully review every document before leaving the office and verify that all information has been entered correctly. A mistake in this process can result in costly delays and significant inconvenience. I do not typically leave negative reviews, but the combination of documentation errors, licensing delays, lack of follow-up, and inability to reach staff when assistance was needed compelled me to share my experience. I ultimately had to seek alternative solutions elsewhere while continuing to deal with the consequences of these issues. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both quality control procedures and customer communication so that future customers do not experience similar problems.

I went to this business to complete a Live Scan for employment. I was told I could receive a fee waiver or discount by completing a form, which I did in person. I waited over a month, only to discover that my fingerprints were never received by the DOJ. When I contacted the DOJ, I was informed that discounts cannot be used for employment purposes. Given that my paperwork clearly indicated the Live Scan was for a job, I would have expected the employee handling my request to understand the requirements or, at minimum, inform me that the discount could not be used for employment. Instead, when I raised the issue, the employee and manager both avoided taking responsibility and shifted the blame onto me. The manager's response was particularly unprofessional. Rather than acknowledging the mistake or explaining the situation clearly, she attempted to make it seem as though the error was mine. When I asked for documentation to confirm what happened, I was told they no longer had the paperwork and allegedly do not retain paperwork for very long--even though this occurred only about a month ago. Mistakes happen, but refusing to acknowledge them and then placing the responsibility on the customer is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend choosing a business that is experienced with Live Scan procedures and understands the requirements for employment-related fingerprinting.

So definitely not my normal type of business to be reviewing, but hey, they had a sign up asking…read morepeople to review them, and that is probably also where my boss found them, and I like numbers going up anyway. So yeah - after a heck of a time trying to find somewhere that still does old-school paper fingerprints for a client I obviously won't name, other than to say it's in the government sector, whose contractor verification system is stuck in the 90s and only took old-school paper fingerprints... ended up here a few days ago. After making an appointment online (thanks for not requiring me to call to make an appointment!), got a text the next day confirming it, showed up at the designated time, definitely did *not* see in the text message, by the way, that it had a gate code in it, which it probably did (I was also nervous when, through the gate, their sign said they closed at 4, despite having made a 4:30 appointment... they need to fix their sign, they close at 5 M-F. Anyway, once I got in, it took about half an hour total - again, partially because the reason I was there instead of going to the official PD fingerprinting down the street from me was because the client *needed* ink fingerprints, and nobody does that anymore, because it's inherently a pain. The guy doing it was super friendly though, and did a great job. (As he replied when I told him that's why I was there: more business for them, I guess!) Plenty of parking, too. Absolutely can't speak to prices, though - as a consultant, I've gotten fingerprinted several times, but I'm never the one paying for it!
