Then they call today with an excuse why they didn't do the job yesterday and said we may be able to make it today. Folks this is exactly what I was told. I had hired this company a couple years ago to plant a couple trees and the same thing, no show, no call, I had to call them. The excuse that time was the tree was not available which I had already paid for by the way. Do what you want with this review but it's the honest truth. There are too many good companies out there to have to put up with this crap. Needless to say I'll never call this company ever again for anything.

The project manager recommended Grade-A Landscaping to remove a large berm that held one of the trees. They unearthed a lot of surprises, and overcame so many challenges. We hired them to remove several evergreen trees and shrubs from our beds, but primarily to address a large area in the front where soil runoff and tree roots were problematic. We are beyond pleased with the new retaining wall (pictured). A few days later a driver miscalculated parking in the driveway and broke the corner stones. I texted Nick and while weather caused delays he kept me in the loop until a couple weeks later when the team arrived and fixed it. These guys really care and own up to their commitments. For our $400 coupon and an additional $500, they trimmed several trees that were near lines going into the house or were touching or almost touching the house and hauled off the branches, hauled off a bunch of other branches that were piled up on our property, cut down a very big mature tree that was dying and hauled it off. Additionally, they have agreed to grind out multiple stumps, although that will be done at a later date. My Hackberry tree had a couple of limbs that needed to be removed and they did that, too. I had a stump from a Redbud that had fallen in a storm and the stump was still there. They removed it and they also removed an iron stake that staked that Redbud when it was planted, but roots had grown around it and it was seemingly impossible to remove. They were efficient and expert and cleaned up very nicely. They had to work around power lines and deal with a very busy street and did so effortlessly. Big chunk of one of my large trees blew down and broke apart during a storm earlier this week. I obtained three names and numbers of tree services from friends and called Sunshine late that afternoon. Before 8 a.m. the following morning Todd had looked at the damage and the whole tree and gave me a verbal assessment of what needed to be done, what the price would be, and when the work could be done (same day). Shortly, I received an email confirmation of our conversation and sent back acceptance as I liked their quick response, what I thought was a reasonable price, and straight assessment without any up-selling. Within a short time, Todd called to update me on time of arrival of his crew. By 11 a.m., there were 4 guys in my yard working on the tree and debris removal. They worked diligently in rainy weather to complete the job. Every bit of debris was cleaned up and the tree looks great and is so much safer now. I was very pleased with their excellent service and will absolutely call them again if the need arises. This is a family business located near Old Downtown Overland Park.
