The PA (Sanjeev Singh)came in to see me within 5 minutes and spent 15 minutes with me. He was very thorough and had a great bedside manner. My entire visit from check-in to check-our was an hour and a half. I felt like the time was very reasonable especially since they were busy and I've spent around the same time in my PCPs office. Last night I had one of the scariest moments since becoming a mother. I thought my 18 month old son…read morehad swallowed a button battery. Panicked, I drove to the nearest facility that could do an xray which was this urgent care. Even though they had a 90 minute wait, they got my son back within 5 minutes of me bursting through their doors. The triage nurse was very patient as I cried my son's information to her. The xray tech was very gentle in guiding me to position my crying and confused toddler. The doctor came in very quickly to examine the results and quickly notified me that there was no button battery on the imaging. Everyone was so quick and patient with the entire process. I was advised to go to the hospital for further treatment. As I came home to pack a bag, I stumbled upon the button battery that my cats had been playing with on my stairwell. I want to thank the staff and doctors at this facility for easing my mama mind and being so awesome and fast acting!

MedStar St. Mary's might not be the biggest or fanciest hospital. The building is small, the ER…read morewaiting room is small, limited rooms and limited resources. However, the difference in the way I was treated there vs. another local "Southern Maryland" hospital was quite enormous. I arrived there unable to walk due to significant difficulties with one of my legs. When I pulled up, a security officer immediately came out with a wheelchair to assist me and wheeled me checked in and to triage. The triage nurse was efficient gathering my information quickly and trying to get my IV set up ASAP. They actually have a veinfinder machine! Then I was moved me to a bed (in the hallway) where treatment began immediately. The doctor also came out to greet me. I never got into a room and was in a bed in the hallway the whole time, which apparently is a thing here due to limited space in the ER. However this did not stop the doctors and nurses from moving quickly to help me. Normally I go to larger hospitals in the DMV hoping for better technology and resources to assess and solve the issue. But I don't regret coming here, because I was treated like a person. My nurse Danielle took such good care of me. My hope for this hospital is that St. Mary's MedStar will receive funding for a newer, larger facility and some updated tools to help serve more patients. Thank you MedStar St. Mary's

fell and broke my wrist while 30 weeks pregnant when I arrived the front desk said that I couldn't…read morehave any water first of all second they didn't do any OB check to make sure the baby was OK. They went straight to focusing on my broken wrist. The ER physician had to phone call in the ortho to review results. They said I basically needed surgery and performing a reduction was not necessary because of the break. I had a very distorted wrist and was in a lot of pain, worried about my risk condition and asked them to please proceed with a reduction and attempt. The physician attempted the reduction and no success. I left the hospital with a very soft bandage that looked like a CVS bandage for the splint and a broken arm for the rest of the day and night with hydrocodone medication. The next day, I decided to go to a better hospital than this one they had an ortho in the ER. They reset my arm and now they're telling me I do not need surgery. Don't go here. Additionally, the other hospital did a great job of checking the baby and transferring me to their OB unit.

My family and I have been going to him for 15 years with not a single complaint. I have referred friends to him who have also been with him for a very long time and have had not issues. He is a very nice man who has been very helpful to me while I am dealing with a both of my parents who are elderly and sick. I would assume that you would complain about any doctor that doesn't let you treat yourself. Just because you want an anti-biotic, doesn't mean you're actually in need of one. If you were really that sick with bronchitis, you wouldn't have been able to wait two more weeks before going back to him. If you were really that sick, you should have gone to another office for urgent care or an ER. If your cousin could hardly breathe or walk, you should have called an ambulance!

I don't even know if it was legible because that's how bad I felt. I waited like 5 minutes and the front desk receptionist, Fran was super funny and kind. She had great energy which was needed that early. Her attitude helped make the process faster and she even said I could finish the papers later if I get called back. She offered me water. The tech that came to see me in the room Heather was pleasant and informative. She didn't jam the swab up my nose like most caregivers. The entire staff had smiles the entire time. Dr. Bernon was pleasant and extra cautious, he had me do an X-ray just to be sure it wasn't bronchitis. Oh and the X-rays are in-house!! That was a relief. The whole process was maybe 45 max. That's one of the fastest visits I've had at urgent care. He didn't just send me home saying have some tea and rest. He gave me prescriptions for my cough and congestion. He even gave a doctors note without even asking! I'm happy with my service and I'll be back when I have any medical issues...hopefully a long time from now though.
