Wait time was average for most walk-in or urgent care clinics I've been to (Canada or US). Checked in, waited 2 hours. There was one doctor and one physician assistant on staff, along with the support and office team members. Doctor was excellent. He gave me attention, listening to what I was saying/describing, asked some important questions, had an excellent bedside manner. I also appreciated how he genuinely listened and expressed empathy for me situation. He allowed me to ask questions and I felt totally cared for. He explained what the best course of action was, prescribed medication and gave recommendations for my next steps. The support staff were super kind and displayed compassion, professionalism and were patient in listening to each patient who came in for care. They even went around offered bottles of water and crackers, which was a first for me. Nice touch! (Especially for patients who are dehydrated!) Check in and check out was simple. You can also call ahead of time, but we just walked in. The washroom, exam room, hallway and waiting areas were all nice and clean. Parking is shared with other businesses, and most patients we're waiting in their cars. read more

Went in at 1030 for a scheduled appointment spending about 30 minutes waiting, but only 10 past the appointment time. Could barely walk and people seen I was in severe pain. Practitioner was overly quick and didn't bring up any of my past medical history which was within their ability to check. Out of there about 1130. Three prescriptions were sent to CVS. At 1230 went to CVS and nothing. Person who works there said it happens all the time. Called medstar and they said they'd send it over. Went back to CVS at 3:30 and only 1 prescription was there. Didn't want to go through their phone line again and headed to MedStar to see WTH. Picked up paper script and back to CVS to drop off and finally at 6pm have all the prescriptions needed to start mending. Every time I've been here it's always something like this. Very uncaring from reception to physicians and they just seem like they're pushing people through. And worst of all, they don't seem to get the doctor- pharmacy connection to the healing process. Only reason I somewhat like them is their app. If you have to go here, do so as early as possible so you'll have plenty of time to pickup meds. Also recommend insisting on a paper script. read more

I took my wife here when she had a large splinter run up under her fingernail. They took X-rays and said there was nothing in there and it must have come out. Two weeks later, I pulled a 1" splinter out from under her fingernail. The people were nice (mostly) but I can't say much for their medical competence. read more

The receptionist asked if I'm in the parking lot and I told them I'm across the street ill be there in a minute. It would literally take me no more than two minutes. She told me well I'll take you off the schedule and you have to re-register. My husband and I could not believe that insane "policy" stated by Casey. For a place of care that holds your credit card on file I expected better customer service. When my husband went in to speak with them they told him that we were given the wrong information. I went in due to feeling under the weather. My throat was incredibly sore and I had a very dry cough and some chest pains. I waited over an hour (with an appointment) to be pulled back by a nurse. She swabbed me for Covid and strep and I was put in a room to wait for the doctor. 1.5 hours went by and I was still not seen. I told them I had to leave as my son was also home sick which prodded the doctor to finally come see me. All he told me was that my tests came back negative, he very lightly listened to my chest and sent me on my way. Not even 12 hours later I developed a fever, body aches, severe chest pain and my cough had gotten worse. I was diagnosed with pneumonia at another facility that next morning. If you're understaffed, fine, but don't be lazy when looking at your patients. The staff was also extremely rude when I was asking questions as to when I would be seen. I came out of my room to find them on their phones while there was an entire room full of patients waiting to be brought back for vitals. Something needs to be fixed. Some of the nurses or aide are pretty rude. This was my first visit here and not sure if I'm ever coming back. Dr. Gross was great! I just hope that she took my concern about her staff into consideration so future patients will not be treated awfully like I did... it was an hour visit. They check you in, get your insurance info, pay your copay, then check your vitals. After vitals they leave you in a room for about 30mins until the Doctor can see you. Unless maybe if its life threatening emergency then the Physician might attend to you depending on the severity of your concern. Facility wise, its practically brand new. read more

Took my grandson and he was dianosed with a severe ear infection. when we got to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription for the ear infection would you believe!!! they wrote a prescription for eye drops. They also wrote a prescription for amoxicillin. the pharmacy said it had been on back order for 4 months and the doctor should have known. If course when we telephoned Medexpress no one answers the telephone. So, after waiting 3.5 hours we wasted our time and money. Do not waste your time and money at this place. We popped in for a Rapid Covid test on a Sunday because my son had a sore throat. They wanted $125 to see a doctor to "screen" him - which amounts to a handful of questions and and fever check. Then wanted $60 for a rapid test and $90 for the PCR test. $275 for something the local Health Department does for free the next day. i went in with severe pain in my throat in ear and told the doctors i believed i had an ear infection i waited for 45 minutes crying in extreme pain only to be covid tested and strep tested and sent home with lidocaine for my throat. it was 5 days of pain and suffering i went through until i found out it was in fact AN EAR INFECTION. Ok so I brought myself and my son in this facility at 7:10 pm the facility doesn't close until 8 pm, to be spoken to by 2 Caucasian receptionist women who spoke to me with such disrespect because I was African American. First Caucasian female first thing she stated was "we have no more appointments for today and we're not talking walk in's. So I stated to the receptionist that you have no clue why my son and I are here. So the second Caucasian female stated we have the right to refuse treatment, because the, facility is a nonprofit organization and we the right to refuse care. I've been here for literally two hours! No I went to have my throat swabbed for strep, sinus infection, and chest congestion. No doctor has seen me yet and that was about about 45 minutes! Apathetic, unprofessional, are the two words that come to mind. I waited for the Urgent Care to open this morning with about 10+ other people. People were lined up at the one door, they opened the other and made no announcement to the people waiting outside. 10 minutes passed before we discovered the other door was open. They refused to do anything in the lobby, referring us back to our cars and telephones. There is no way to wait to speak with a human on their automated message system and it hangs up at the conclusion of the message. There is no way to wait on hold, no way to leave a message, no way to request a call back. When confronted about the phone system they claimed this is the way it is because of Covid. So you can wait outside for hours trying to call in, if someone is lucky enough to get the next available person they will be seen before you. You might be seen, you might not. Do you feel lucky? I don't know about you but that's not what I expect from a health care provider. Additionally, they make no effort to triage their patients, even when you walk into the lobby to speak with them. They could not care less why you are there. It reminds me of when my father went to the doctor for flu like symptoms to discover he was suffering small heart attacks. The staff was friendly but they are extremely under staffed. Waited for almost 4 hours before I was even seen to get my vitals, and then sent back into the waiting room to be seen by the doctor. Knowing this is one of the only facilities for urgent care in the area, should not be a shock to know the amount of patients that will be waiting and the need for more physicians! read more

Called back and was told "I'll send that over now", I.e. move an existing Rx via email from pharmacy A to pharmacy B. Sounds simple... Hours later still not received at pharmacy B so I called back and was then told only the provider can switch the pharmacy and she's very busy. Long story short, pharmacy now closed. No antibiotics today. Waste of a day. Could have seen her regular doctor tomorrow, Monday. Won't be going back. read more

Im from CA. Staying with my parents who leave here because my husband is deployed and I am a new mother. My 4 month old had been throwing up. Like projectile vomiting for about an hour back to back and then started making weird breathing noises. So I came here. On the front door it said to call the number that was listed to get on the waitlist and to wait outside, unless it was an emergency, then come in. I called the number several times and it just kept saying "you will be disconnected now". So I went in because I felt it was an emergency. Lady then told me to call the number. I told her I did and it kept hanging up on me. So she then told me she needed my number to call Me "since I didn't call to register". I then corrected her once again because I did indeed call. No empathy and tried to put it on me. Dope. They told me it's be about a 3 hour wait so I went to my car. My daughter was crying up a storm so I went to change her diaper and feed her and then I missed their call. So I called back and got the said disconnection message. What a fucking headache. This was my first time visiting, and I wasn't disappointed. The main waiting area was clean and quiet, and check-in and my initial registration only took a few minutes. When the triage nurse (Sharon) was taking my vitals, she was friendly and easy to talk to, and the time from the waiting room until her reviewing me as about fifteen minutes. From there, I went back into the main waiting room for a few minutes before being placed in one of the seven patient rooms in the back. That wait was a little longer, maybe about 45 minutes until a doctor came back to see me. Dr. Gliksman saw me, and she asked questions that made me feel like she was really listening. She was quick, efficient, and no-nonsense, and she diagnosed me within fifteen minutes of initially seeing me. From there, check-out was easy and also quick. I'm completely satisfied with my experience there and would recommend this place to any one of my friends in need of urgent care in the area. read more

went to medexpress in california, md this morning for a covid-19 test. got to the office when they opened at 8am and was called inside by 10:40am. the wait was most definitely not the problem. my issue is with the extremely unprofessional medical assistant i heard talking loudly about my results in the hallway. "negative covid, positive pregnancy." the simple fact that this lady does not know me, but has the audacity to ask the doctor "how did she react to the pregnancy" is so weird. why would you ever care about the reaction of a patient to their test results? are you that small-minded and bored with your career that you were hopeful for a reaction out of me? if you needed to know that bad you could've asked me yourself and i would've told you it wasn't a surprise because i was already aware. i do know for a fact the medical assistant who said it was NOT "J" or Jasmine(?) as she was the sweetest from the start, but someone else I had not had any contact or conversation with. oh, let's not forget to mention the provider i saw, isaya okwiya.. LOL. the absolute most rude & impatient human i've encountered so far in 2021 (and i work in healthcare so that says a lot.) he's truly not even worth going into detail about. i thank my medical assistant "J" for bringing a professional balance to the office which is apparently MUCH needed. read more
