This place has no idea of what of whats going on. They screw up their billing. Charging for dervices not rendered. Stay far away you will get charged for services. The dentist says one thing then says it can not be done. read more

This dentist's office has absolutely no integrity and is as crooked as a business comes. My past (3 of 4) visits for routine cleaning and checkup, I had no balance due and was never asked to pay anything after my visits. My most recent visit, I was quoted a large balance due for four visits in 2023-2024. I inquired if this had gone through my insurance and Breton Bay Dentistry told me my insurance does not cover my routine semi-annual visits because of how they code the billing which is incorrect. They pretty much said for two years I have been wasting my money for dental insurance because it does not cover what they are trying to gouge them for and now expect me to pay for two years of dental checkups that has never been mentioned before. This dentist office is corrupt screwing patients and trying to collect money from insurance companies for unknown procedures. I'll NEVER go back to this dentist. read more

If your scared of dentists I highly recommend this place! They were amazing! I explained to them that I was nervous and the nurse walked me through everything they were going to do, constantly reassuring me they weren't going to do anything I didn't want. They were so patient and kind, I honestly felt so cared for. My teeth felt great leaving and I can honestly say they helped me feel less nervous about going back. If you're scared of dentists give this place a try! (Also the office was beautiful and clean). 10/10 recommend! read more

Called yesterday for a broken tooth got in at 8 am had got x-rays root canal and temp crown done the best thing was that I felt nothing . Everyone was nice and caring. read more

I can't recommend this practice. My crown fell out within a few months and there is no tooth left to put a replacement crown in. I need to get an implant now. read more

I have been a patient here for five years. Generally, the service by Dr. Gabrielle Ramellini has been good. She seems to care about here patients and has not over-prescribed or under-prescribed. I moved to DC, but kept going back because the dentist I visited in DC wanted $1000 to replace a perfectly good filling. Unfortunately, the service during my last visit, was VERY POOR. Before beginning the procedure the front office showed me a total amount due of about $600. Three months later I received a bill for $1950. That's 3X more! I have politely contacted them about this several times and they simply point the finger back at insurance. The truth is, it's not insurance's fault since I was very clear in letting them know that my insurance only covers preventative work. They assured me the cost was only going to be about $600 and even circled it saying that they had been in contact with my insurance company. This kind of behavior is entirely UNETHICAL and it is very disappointing. They deal with insurance companies day in and day out. When they told me it was going to be $600 I trusted them. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Don't make the same mistake as me. read more

I can't thank Dr. Joe Ramellini and his staff at Breton Bay Dentistry for helping to save my daughter's two front teeth!!! It was a horrible accident that occurred this past Memorial Day. The kids were playing and my 12 yo daughter got accidentally struck in the mouth with a softball. Her front tooth fell out in her hands. I immediately knew I had to do something to preserve and save her tooth. In the heat of the moment I couldn't recall what to place it in so I immediately called Dr. Joe to find out what I should do. He told me the proper medium to place the tooth in and said he would meet me at his office right away. Her tooth was replanted after he got her numb and comfortable and everything splinted together to hold them in place. He has been there for us every step of the way with all the other specialists involved in her care, making sure everyone is in agreement and on the same page so that she receives the GOLD standard of care! Her case is complicated as the other front tooth was displaced and fractured at the root as well, but he has researched and consulted to make sure she gets the best treatment possible! I can't thank Dr Joe enough for doing what he did to try to keep my dear daughter from losing her tooth( and on a HoIiday weekend) . Even the other specialists can't stop saying good things and how impressed they are about the amazing splint he placed to hold her teeth in place. I know that due to his prompt response and attentive care and thorough follow up care that her tooth has the best chances possible for retention and survival. She can now smile again thanks to Dr. Joe and so can I !!!! I pray no one else ever has to go through something like this with their child but accidents happen and if they do call on Dr. Joe. Breton Bay Dentistry - Smiling one week later! - Cosmetic Dentists Near Me - Leonardtown, Maryland

I went into Breton Bay in Leonardtown, MD six weeks ago for my six month cleaning. I called and let them know that I wanted to have my cap replaced because it was bothering me. They gave me another time to come in so the dentist would be there. They brought me in, sat me down and took x-rays. The hygienist started picking at my teeth for a few minutes and said, "Your teeth are already clean". I've never heard that before. She was done in like 5 minutes. The dentist came in and said, everything looks fine. I said, They have been pressuring me to get my cap replaced the last two cleanings. I've been putting it off but, it is bothering me now. He looked in my mouth and said, I don't see anything wrong. I said, the dentist last time was putting his pick under the cap and saying it needs to be replaced soon. That was six months ago. He said No, everything is fine. Since then, I changed jobs. My dental insurance has not kicked in yet and I have a major TOOTH ACHE!! When I left there, my teeth did not feel clean. Because they didn't even clean them. Some of the hygienist that work there do a good job. But, that girl did a very poor job and said, Your teeth are already clean. The Dentist, If that is what he is. Didn't know what the hell he was doing. I had never seen him there before. read more

I switched to Breton Bay Destistry because they had been recommended. First, they make you fill out the same repeative forms; not sure why this isn't electronic by now. Second, while I was checking in one of the ladies was talking and making faces about the lady that was doing the check-in. Third, since it was my first visit I had to take a CRAP ton of pictures. I can't open wide but most denists system have been udpated for patients like me, not this one. My jaw was locked by the time I left. Forth, my dential hygestist was super sweet and the Dr. was great to offer me a toothpaste to fix issues that could get worse with my teeth then to quickly recommend fillings; this is the reason I left Tidewater because they are always trying to upsale you and make as much money as possible. However, since my appointment it's been one issue after another with getting them to get my insurance to pay the bill. I told them I had medical and dental separate and asked them if they needed my medical card and they said no, come to find out the answer was yes. After receiving a the FULL bill (minus $5.00) I called them and they said they would fix it. 3 months later it still hasn't been fixed. I'm going to go back to my dentist in NoVa, the staff and technology is much better up there. read more
