I am not sure if there are certain days that you should check these stores out or what but I was not impressed. Half the shelves were empty. The produce area had a good selection of Veggies but the fruit selection was pathetic. We got some frozen fruit just to get some fruit. Most of the deals that were advertised were sold out so we really did not save much money at all. I miss having actual bakeries and delis and the such. I may check out other locations at some time but I was thoroughly unimpressed with this location. If I have to pay a bit more to get everything I am looking for and get freshly cut deli meat I guess I will have to keep going to Save On Foods or Safeway. Finally this place opened! We have been waiting for awhile. There are couple of grocery stores in…read morethe hood: Walmart and Save-on-Food. Prices at Walmart and Save-on-Foods are a lot higher. Freshco is owned by Safeway. Freshco is branded as a lower tier grocery stores (similar to No Frills which is owned by Loblaw). July 11, 2019 was their grand opening day. We went on the second day after grand opening and the place was super packed. We have noticed they had a lot of Indian specialty items. The isles are very wide. Prices were definitely cheaper. There is a giant parking lot out front. Another great thing about Freshco is that they are beside the bus loop. Super convenient. We are happy this place opened up. The store before Freshco was Safeway (they closed down a year ago). The lot was left empty for awhile before Freshco popped up.

Oysters are fresh and only one died on our way home. Ate them raw and also grilled - delicious, especially grilled with sour dough baguette!
