Since we made about 90 kits, she figured it would be best for us to deliver them to an organization that assists those in need, and she found Foothill Unity Center. Foothill Unity Center is a multi-service agency that provides services to individuals and families in need. Founded in 1980 by Josephine Anderson, the center has become a source for food, health services, and crisis assistance to thousands of low-income families in the SGV. The place is clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and gracious for our donation. It felt nice to do something good for others and give back to the community. The security guard on duty was an absolute doll - polite, friendly, and respectful. He made our day as much as we made his. The Bargain Box is managed by the Assistance League of Arcadia, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools.
