I couldn't sit up, lie down, or walk without pain - putting on my sneakers was excruciating. Renée agreed to fit me in at 10.30 for a half an hour session. When I arrived she gently palpated my lower back to determine whether or not it was simply a spasm, sciatica, or something worse. The treatment room was clean, peaceful, and warm. Knowing I was having trouble moving, she provided me with a stepping stool to get onto the table. After her initial observations, she decided the best course would be a combination of cupping, acupuncture, and electro stim through the needles. She has a light touch - I didn't feel the needles go in at all, and when she manipulated them manually, I felt some release almost immediately. By the end of the treatment, I was still in pain but was able to sit up right away and felt a bit looser. She sent me home with a pain patch and told me I would likely continue to get some relief throughout the day. She said we can do more work if I need it in the coming days, but was not pushy. She just wants me to keep her informed of how I'm feeling and we can proceed from there. About 2 weeks ago, I woke in the middle of the night with an explosive headache, ear and facial pressure like I never experienced. The CAT Scan, Brain MRI and brain studies came back negative. The Neurologist gave me a sample of Nurtec to try. He said the drug is costly and to check with my drug plan. I contacted my Medicare Preferred Pharmacy and was told that the medication will cost me $298. I asked for how many days and was told it will cost me $298 per pill. I then decided to contact Dr Lee (as I refer to him). He is an exceptional practitioner and healer. He is superior to all the western medicine providers that I use. He always makes sure that I am comfortable and asks me pointed questions to get to the root of the problem. No other provider has taken the time to hear me and figure out what's wrong. Dr Lee asked if I was having neck pain which I have been having for about a month and then started treating me. I walked out of his office headache free and the pressure that I had in my ears and face were gone. He provided me with exercises to do to help strengthen my neck and I am doing much better now. Dr Lee truly cares about his patients, always accommodating and does everything to resolve the issue. I was first referred to him 10+ years ago for a herniated disc, then treated with him for my asthma, bladder issues, knee pain and joint pain.
