I don't even know what to say. We Have been getting takeout here for years. My wife has a gluten allergy. We have ordered chicken broccoli with a brown sauce twice. Gluten-free. It has been wonderful. We order online. I waited 45 min for our order (which is fine because is has always been worth it). But after getting my order and driving home 35 min, and finding out that the chicken broccoli has a white sauce, I was very disappointed. I called, and the staff member argued with me, saying all gluten free has white sauce. I tried telling her about the online description and our previous orders. The picture has brown sauce. The description says brown sauce. There is NO mention of white sauce. SHE HUNG UP ON ME! We called back to speak with a manager (it was the same person), we told her we wanted a refund JUST the dinner that we ordered gluten free with a brown sauce. She said she would give us our money back, but we had to bring the food back tonight. I told her the drive was 30-45 min, but I could bring it back in the morning. She said then we would not get a refund. I am a small business owner. My customers are literally always right. We have probably ordered out twice a month from this restaurant for the last five years. So my question is... You argued with someone about your advertising and description, and then hung up on them because you said you were so busy, and you didn't have time for it, is beneficial how? .You told us that we were the first people this had ever happened to. So, as a business owner, if this is really the first time that this has happened, why would you just not give the money back? Why lose customers who have been loyal for years over an $11 dinner? We have ordered probably 50 meals from you in the past. We have never complained about a single one until today. I cannot believe a "fast food" Chinese restaurant would treat a loyal customer like that. Seriously, when a customer has an allergy related issue, you hang up on them, challenge them, just to make them bring a dish back that you will throw in the trash? That is absolutely awful customer service. This isn't someone calling and saying that this wasn't what they thought it was going to be. The dish was completely different than it has been given to your customer before, but not accurately described on your online menu!!! If you owner manager can find the area on your menu that it says, "there is white sauce on all gluten-free items", please highlight it for people picking gluten-free items. ( because it does not exist). Awful customer service. Used to love this restaurant, but unfortunately they must care more about their revenue. If you're looking for some good tasting Chinese food this place has a diverse menu with dishes that expand further than your average sesame chicken. The flavor of the food is good and hits the spot but the thing that sets Chopsticks apart from other Chinese places in Lincoln, NE is the portions. I got three meals out of one order from this place. If you want to make your dollars stretch then come here. The inside is not the best environment to eat because of loud music and slightly rude service but I can recommend the food for sure. read more

So many good things to say about Chopsticks but most importantly........HUGE PORTIONS. If you have a family of big eaters or just have a large appetite yourself Chopsticks would definitely be the place for you! I have never walked away from this place hungry. The restaurant is also never too loud or crowded, its a great place to sit down for a dinner date. The staff is always super helpful and there is always a big smile greeting me when I get there. I have also used their delivery service a couple of times and it was quick and convenient. If you are ever in the area and have a great hunger Chopsticks is the place to go! Went here for the first time for a Father's Day lunch. It's small and very straight forward. You order at the counter and they even have a photo based menu if ordering by name intimidates you. Overall the food is good and would earn four stars just in taste. Their limited somewhat by what holds back so many Chinese places in the Midwest: food isn't as spicy as it could be and it's a little too sweet, but alas they're giving their base what they want. Where they break into five stars is in their portions and the overall value. You get massive portions here. There were four of us and we ordered three entrees and we still took a ton of food home. Like it's Tuesday and we're still eating the leftovers from lunch on Sunday. Food is good and if you want to leave with lunch the next day this is the place. Got 2 lunch specials for take out (orange chicken and Mongolian beef). The menu said they were a bit spicy and (unlike many places around here) they actually had a it of a kick. The fried rice had a spiced flavor that I really enjoyed and the overall portion was a fantastic value for the price. Poor service. After calling in an order for lunch at 12:45 and being told the order would be ready in twenty minutes, I went to the restaurant at 1:00. I paid and waited. And waited. And waited. This wouldn't be a problem on a busy day, as I understand the business. But, after paying and waiting in the restaurant for nearly 10 minutes (now 25 minutes from the time of order) a man entered, ordered from the counter, and sat down. I was very unpleasantly surprised when another thirteen minutes later, he received his food at the table as I still waited (now 38 minutes from the time of my order). Perhaps the restaurant has a policy to prepare the orders of eat-in diners first. However, as the carries the food to the table in a to-go container inside a to-go bag (the customers unpack and eat their to go packages at the tables) there is no real difference in the end product. Another 8 minutes later (46 minutes), I received my to-go bag. Several carry-out customers ahead of me received free drinks for the delay, but I did not receive this offer until I was exiting the restaurant, and it did not seem sincere as no cup was offered. Obviously, my order was not even started when I called. It wasn't started when I paid. It was put aside until many others had been filled. On the positive side, the amount of mediocre food that was provided was generous for the price. I won't be ordering carry-out from Chopsticks again. read more

Not very impressed. I had the almond chicken combo. The best part of the combo was the egg roll, it was great. The almond chicken was boring and lacked flavor. My fiancée had the spicy orange chicken. She couldn't make her self eat even half of the chicken. It had flavor, but was covered in huge chunks of orange zest that just made it a little too zesty, it also had a funny aftertaste. I also disliked it. The fried rice is basically just yellow steamed rice with no real flavor of its own. I ordered a can of root beer, I hadn't had a root beer in years and I though it sounded good. Well, I still haven't, they where out of every soda option I wanted which was offered online. Disappointing dinner for 2 with one can of soda $19.51...we will look elsewhere for our takeout needs. The gal that took our order (you do that at the counter) was very put out when I gave her a plate we had finished with. She then pointed to a sign at the table that we are to bus our own table. We just ate here tonight and would have to say the experience was a pleasant one. It was dinner time on a Friday night so the wait was quite long (roughly 20 minutes), but the worker offered all of the people in line free drinks while we sat! Overall, staff was helpful and friendly. We ordered two entrees with 2 egg rolls and 8 crab Rangoon to share with our small children. The amount of food we got FAR surpassed what we could have ever finished. My go-to Chinese order is General Tso's chicken which I would call average by all standards. My wife got chicken with Chinese veggies which was quite tasty. By far the best perk, coupled with portion size, was the egg rolls and crab Rangoon. Lots of stuffing and an entire bowl of sweet and sour sauce. Our total was 27 dollars but I can see this food lasting for another entire meal with leftovers for a midnight snack. Favorite thing about chopsticks was the portion size. The food was regularly priced like 8 or 9 bucks for dinner but they give you so much food. A plate piled high with what you order and then another plate full of rice. The food is also really good, I got the kung pau tofu and the ma bo tofu.
