It turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you find on a road trip. Fast forward five years. I'm pulling into Green River again, this time on a trip with my dad and brother, when I spotted La Pasadita and immediately recognized it. I had completely forgotten about this hidden gem in this sleepy little town, but the second I saw it, I knew where we were eating. I'm happy to say the food was every bit as good--if not better--than I remembered. My dad and brother both went with burritos, and I had the chicken enchiladas. Everything was fantastic. And don't skip the Jamaica ! Absolutely delicious. One word of advice: don't let appearances throw you off. A food truck sitting in the parking lot of what looks like an old Shell gas station might make you second-guess your choice. Don't. Pull in, order some food, and enjoy it. Places like this are exactly why you shouldn't judge a restaurant by the building. Five stars without hesitation. If Yelp let me give La Pasadita more, I would. And apparently, if I find myself back in Green River another five years from now, I already know where I'm eating.

The burrito itself was filling and the al pastor was decent, but the sauces inside the building were pretty mild and lacked the flavor and punch I was hoping for. Coming from California and being used to Mexican food there as well as in Mexico, my expectations are probably a little higher when it comes to seasoning, salsa, and overall flavor. Still, it was a solid meal and I'd be open to trying some of their other items next time.

July 12, 2026 - Green River, UT…read more Ray's Tavern made for a great lunch stop as we traveled from Helper, Utah to Grand Junction, Colorado. The cheeseburger was very good, as were the fries. Not greasy and not salty, homemade for sure. The coleslaw was delicious. It was a very hot day, and we had our pup, so we were glad for the partially shaded Ray's Boneyard patio. The patio was in a bit of disrepair, but we were glad to find a a dog-friendly place. Service was quick, and the food came out fairly quickly. A very nice stop.

They where hanging out by the cashier on the other side. When they finally decided to help I was received with nothing but attitude and disrespect. The service was horrible and the ambience was very uncomfortable when they decided to help. Definitely would not go back to that place.

The sandwiches were made perfectly, but what stood out even more was their attitude and customer service. They were upbeat, welcoming, and clearly took pride in what they were doing. Kari was especially attentive to cleanliness. I watched her wash her hands multiple times while preparing orders, which I really appreciated. It's always reassuring to see people take food safety seriously. Both Kari and Shirley were friendly, efficient, and just genuinely kind. It's easy to overlook great service at a quick stop like this, but they made the experience memorable. If you're passing through Green River and stop at Subway, you're in good hands with Kari and Shirley. Thanks for the great sandwiches and the positive energy!

The gas station is nice, cheap gas, clean bathrooms that are easily accessible.
