Chows is still the best spot for dinner.. their hours are still the same..4-10pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Still the same flavors Muskogee loves. Dine in or call and carry out is honored here. I can't tell you how much I love this place. Don't be deceived by the look of the building on the outside. Food is so fresh and made to order. Chow's is such a Muskogee staple for Asian cuisine. It's always hot, fresh, and a ton of food for the money. I love the combo meals because they come with sweet and sour chicken and an egg roll, so you get variety. They've had some issues recently and closed for a long chunk of time, but they are back open! They still take credit cards, and the food is still great. I don't think I have ever eaten inside because it's pretty small. But it's your perfect quintessential take out spot for sure. read more

Tonight on the way back from a visit to family and running and errand my husband and I stopped by Chow's Express for some yummy takeout. My husband and I got sweet and sour chicken(his) and I got the Happy Family/Sweet & Sour Chicken combination dinner with egg roll, fried rice and extra sweet and sour sauce. Honestly this is not a place I think of all that often, but now I will think of it more. (It will not be such a hidden secret in Muskogee anymore for those who enjoy Chinese takeout). I love their fried rice! I have to get get spicy though. I get 8 Star spicy not really spicy at all jus gives it a kick! You get it all the way up 20 Star I believe. Since I usually eat the fried rice as a meal I don't get it real spicy unless I eat it as a side then I'll go up to a 12 Star. Only fried rice I like in Muskogee. read more

First time, went through the drive thru. Glanced at the menu and saw what incredibly low prices. I got a order of cream cheese wontons, usually my favorite anywhere, not so favorite here. As you can see in my photo it has a small dab of cream cheese and all the rest just crisp. Disappointed, we like cream cheese to be present! TLDR: Lots of delicious food at a low price. Hubs and I stopped over in Muskogee for the night and got to our hotel at 930. We were quite disheartened to learn that most restaurants around here close at 10pm, but it is a Small amd quiet town. We settled on Chow's and are incredibly satisfied. We frequent our local chinese take-outs (Memphis, TN) and usually spend $35-50, depending on the location. We got our regular, Singapore Noodles (typically called Curry Mei Fun where we're from), Combo Lo Mein, and Pot Stickers (10 per order!!) And we only spent $22. The food is not a good as our local places but it is still SO delicious and you get a lot for your money. And the girls that work the front are so sweet!! read more

I am not a huge fan of chows. It is the closest Chinese food to my house and I will drive past to get to one of the others. Other people I talk to love it, but I am not a fan. This is not for any particular reason other than I think others do it better. read more

First of all, its now called "Chows Express", to make it unrelated to the Panda Express chain. Best take out Chinese in town. I eat here on a regular basis. Lots of great food for the price. Wasn't too impressed. Very small portions. What I am use to in the DFW I would get 5 times the portion for the same price. I also had the same experience in Tulsa yesterday but food there was horrible. Food here was good if that is what you can expect here in Muskogee. Was good but not great. I came here because it had the highest rating in town. But when I walked in the door it was 2 teenage girls behind the counter (it is important to note that there was no language barrier here.) I asked 3 questions that should have been basic knowledge for anyone taking orders. Neither girl could answer any questions. I asked if they liked the food, they just exchanged looks. I asked if the food sucked, they exchange looks again and then one girl said, "I like the honey chicken?" At this point the only thing keeping in here are the yelp reviews. I went ahead and got the honey chicken deluxe meal that comes with a side of sweet and sour chicken and fried rice and an egg roll. And I ordered crab Rangoon. Then I watched another teenage girl come from the drive thru area and asked one of the girls that took my order if my crab Rangoon was for her front counter orders while that girl blatantly ignored her. And then after waiting a total of half an hour I asked about my order. And apparently they lost it. I just took my money and left. This place is by far the best Chinese food in Muskogee, and the surrounding areas. It's located right next to the bowling alley on York; little hole in the wall place. . I love their egg rolls, pot stickers, and Chicken Teriyaki (meal and on the stick). I drive from Tahlequah just for this Chinese food., Prices are low and the portions are huge! I can usually get two meals from one platter. I would definitely recommend this place. The only downside is is that they only had accept cash but just make sure you come prepared! =) yum! read more
