The best CHP office in OC. First of all, thank you, officer Brandon Marshall for helping this single mom install a car seat 2ish years ago. He spent about 1.5 hours in 98 degree weather to make sure everything was safe and working properly. He was thorough as my car seat was one of those complicated German ones with so many safety features- I certainly wouldn't have been able to figure it out. & I will never forget his act of kindness. Thank you Also big shout to Officers Wolter, Powers, Robertson, Barnard, and Ecklund, Myers, Et al for being so lovely. All of the others at CHP SJC were very kind and helpful as well (can't remember their names as there are quite a lot of people working at this office.) Big thank you for all you do for the community, CHP - Capistrano. Y'all are appreciated Oh, and I forgot to acknowledge the good-est boy. K9 Brutus. :)

Can you read the sign on the pole clearly when you try to enlarge and read it dear officer? Is it my eyes???

Officer Eklund was quick to the scene, very cooperative and above all extremely generous in the way he dealt with my complaint.

I was arrested for "trespassing" while trying to pick up my legal mail from my old address--the…read moresame address that's still on my driver's license. Instead of doing even the most basic verification, deputies took my ex's word at face value and decided to throw me in jail. I ended up sitting in custody for four days over something that clearly wasn't a crime--proved by the fact that the charges were dropped. That tells you everything you need to know about how poorly this situation was handled. This wasn't law enforcement--it was lazy decision-making and a lack of proper training. No common sense, no investigation, just straight to arrest. Situations like this shouldn't happen, yet here we are. If this is the level of judgment being used, it's honestly concerning. People's freedom shouldn't depend on whether an officer feels like doing their job correctly that day.

I hold him after he was done to go ahead and wash his hands while I was in the other stall, finishing up. Then I heard a lady's voice asking why he was using the ladies bathroom. He said he was with me. It was the parking lot enforcement officer. At least I think she was, she was only wearing a bright yellow vest in plain clothing. I stopped her mid voice and said he's with me. That should have been the end of her conversation with a nine year old. Then she proceeded to tell him that he is a big boy and needs to be using the men's public bathroom in the other building. And when I came out, she asked why he was using the women's bathroom with me. I told her that he is using it with me because he's nine years old. I am not sending him into a public restroom at the park/harbor with grown men and transients that roam the area. She proceeded to argue with me about how the public restrooms are safe in the harbor and how I should have sent him to the men's restroom or left him outside. Maybe she expected me to go into the men's public restroom at the park and scope it out before sending a nine year old boy inside rather than taking him into the ladies room with me. 1) She should have stopped conversation with a nine year old when I identified myself as the adult. 2) Her opinion about how "safe" the public restrooms is irrelevant when it comes to the safety of a nine year old child. She should not be telling someone how to parent a child. I tried calling the non emergency OC Sheriff number located on the payment booth and it went to a different number and voicemail that did not even identify themselves as the Sheriff Sheriff's Department. Please update your contact information and do a better job of training your employees and volunteers. Also, when I came out of the bathroom the lady was harassing some teenage kids about their bait and said they should be leaving it at home and buying it from the store front. The unprofessional behavior of this lady leads me to suggest that there needs to be more training in all areas of diversity, ageism and sexism for employees.

I was harassed interrogated and left on a third story parking structure after me telling the police officers that I just had an aneurysm and embolism in my heart, and if they could please help me get to my car I had several heavy and a dog that I rescued in my arms they drove away three cars, three police cars and left me in that parking structure. I was horrified by the time I got to my car, I was profusely sweating and was out of breath. I called the department and let them know what it happened. I just can't even believe this is the conduct of the sheriffs when I called for help and was treated like a criminal in my hometown the police officers definitely didn't behave in this manner. I personally have had friends that were sheriffs and this is not proper conduct.!

The driver was seen by multiple witnesses traveling over 100MPH before colliding with my car twice (once in the rear, once on the side) causing multiple injuries (19 rib breaks, punctured lung, multiple punctures to spleen, nerve damage to left arm/hand, concussion). These injuries nearly killed me! The reckless driver claimed he was going approximately 55 in a 45 and was recommended to receive a standard speeding ticket in the report! Even though in the report multiple witnesses saw him traveling nearly twice that speed and the wreckage showed he was going much faster than he claimed . He was also driving on a restricted NIP license, had 11 other infractions in 2 years a DUI and reckless driving offenses!!! This doesn't even address his sealed juvenile record! Why was he only recommended to receive a standard speeding ticket by OC Sheriffs (his offenses and injuries he caused met the requirements of a much heftier violation). This kid is a habitual offender with a pattern of bad driving and bad choices behind him! For public safety he should not be on the road!
