Was rushed out the door and had an MRI scheduled and a follow-up appointment with the Urologist. After my MRI was done, thorough notes and images were sent to me by the imaging business and it was concluded I didn't have what was thought I had. So, I canceled my follow-up appointment because I wasn't going to pay money to have the Urologist tell me what I had already read in the MRI notes. After my cancellation, I received 2 calls asking to reschedule the appointment. Seemed a little pushy about rescheduling, which I didn't appreciate. So, I called and talked to their customer center (which is extremely frustrating when you just want to speak with the office directly to get things sorted out). Told the customer care agent I wanted to stop receiving calls from their office and to pass that along. The call dragged on and then I was transferred to an MA and told her why I wasn't planning on rescheduling and that I had wanted them to stop calling me. She had a bit of an attitude about it and then told me she'd pass my request along. Definitely won't be going back there.

She said she would find me the BEST! I have not been disappointed. DR. Nelson responded immediately and had me come in his office the very next day for a consultation and surgery the following day. My 1st impression when meeting Dr. Nelson was his compassion and understanding. I appreciated his strong firm handshake and his direct constant eye contact. I felt he was truely listening to me and my concerns. He explained everything to me throughly and terms I understood. Its not often you find a great Dr. non the less with such a great bedside manner. I cannot thank or recommended Dr. Nelson enough. He's been so great and im so greatful for everything he has done and is currently working on to getting me feeling better so that i get back into my daily fitness routine and hiking once again.

Had a follow up appt today for my 1 wk checkup; met with PA who was at hospital when I was admitted / had surgery. He agreed not getting written instructions was weird but put it on the hospital... I said wouldn't the doctor who specializes in this need to be the one that would write the instructions he said "true that's fair". Just full of complete shit. He asks if he can have a doctor come in... I said please do. P.s. he agreed no pain meds was odd. Made clear he felt really bad about how things went. Doc (not doc that did surgery but he also works in the practice) comes in and defends everything... how do you defend no written instructions? No pain med? Nothing? That's when I knew they were a dishonest practice. Look at the reviews. Tells you everything you need to know. Avoid this place at all costs.

With a procedure like mine, proper execution was essential--if done poorly, it could be detrimental. As I read through reviews of Dr. Tate on various sites, I noticed an extreme range of feedback. At first, it was puzzling, but as I read more closely, some of the negative reviews seemed rooted in personal past trauma or unmet emotional expectations, not in her actual medical skill. Dr. Tate is a no-nonsense, highly skilled urogynocologist. Her job is to assess and treat serious pelvic and urologic health issues--not to coddle or entertain patients. I didn't need a play-by-play during a routine exam--I needed an expert. And that's exactly what I found in Dr. Tate. I'm incredibly thankful I didn't let subjective complaints about personality dissuade me. I was looking for clinical excellence, and that's what I received. In addition to Dr. Tate's professionalism and surgical expertise, her entire medical team was fantastic--thorough, supportive, and efficient throughout the entire process.
