Chris is an outstanding photographer, even for large groups with people ranging in age. He is also an excellent photographer teacher. In the Summer of 2018, my husband and I met my two daughters' families in Charleston, SC, for a reunion. We had a great family photo session with Chris, who was fun and easy to work with. We were very pleased with his photos, which included individual, small-group, and large-group shots. His ability to make my four-year-old grandson look directly at the camera and smile was extraordinary, and he made everyone look happy and relaxed in each shot. As a photo buff, I had been long thinking about improving my portrait-taking skills. I reached out to Chris this spring and just finished a Private Virtual Mentor session with him, during which he shared expert insights over Zoom and email. Based on my stated objectives, he suggested which equipment I should get beforehand and advised what software to do post-photo-processing. I am so pleased with the portrait photos I have since taken my virtual lesson. I am delighted by Chris' willingness to share his creative lighting skills and tips, which set his photos apart from those of other professional photographers. I only hope to eventually reach his level. Besides the photography skills Chris imparted, I was thrilled by his patience as he walked me through Lightroom during the photo-post-processing stage. His approach was interactive - letting me ask questions--and I do believe this is the most efficient way to learn the essence of Lightroom. Because Chris permitted me to record our Zoom meetings, I've been able to further absorb all of the detailed information he shared during our sessions and from his detailed email reply to my critical questions. It's hard to write just one short paragraph that could depict Chris and Cami and the fathoms of their quality. The morning of our wedding, we woke up to a grey gloomy day with little hope of a beautiful wedding shoot outcome. When Chris and Cami showed up early to the wedding cabin, they had already scoped out possible photo shoot locations on their drive in, and were more ecstatic than anyone in the wedding party. They filled the house with joy and brought light to such a gloomy, foggy day. Chris had made intimate connections with each person he captured with his camera and made the entire room fill with smiles as he entertained our little nieces with squeaker toys to get their attention for photos. He made time to get emotional photos of both bride and groom getting ready, while adding a beautiful artistic approach to every shot before and during the ceremony. Following the ceremony Chris and Cami headed out into the frigid, howling wind to attack the perfect backdrops they had scouted on the way in. They climbed through rain, woods and snow in miserable temperatures to make our day special. After their allotted time was up we invited them to stay for our dinner party which they pleasantly accepted. Chris managed to capture even more pivotal moments on our special day as we cut the cake and enjoyed the company of our guests over a hot meal. Just four days after the ceremony on our honey moon the email subject "your wedding pictures are ready," appeared in our inbox. We were not only astonished to find that the pictures were completed in less than a week but they were developed into a spectacular masterpiece collection that words cannot depict. Hello! I rarely write reviews unless we've had a superlative experience, and that's exactly what we had with Chris and Cami Photography. We have been using the fabulous services of Chris and Cami for 5 years now (and already booked our 2024 photo shoot!). Chris is absolutely amazing. Chris did our wedding photos & he was AWESOME to work with! The attention to detail, the way he was so in sync with our videographer & kept things moving was amazing! Chris was such a joy to work with and he produced many fascinating photos at a huge international conference in DC that I was part of. At the group photo session, he was professional in setting up the crowd and suggesting different poses, etc. Surprisingly we took both professional group photos as well as funny ones and I liked the latter ones even more! I recently arranged a family photo shoot with Chris and Cami as a birthday gift for my parents and they were wonderful to work with. They suggested the perfect spot for the photo shoot (Hampton Park) since my mom wanted some pictures with big live oak trees. They made us all feel at ease during the shoot and even took some really cool aerial shots of us with a drone. Chris & Cami are simply AMAZING!!! We used them for our family Christmas photos last weekend and we couldn't be any happier with how they turned out. We did our session downtown at Hampton Park with our 2.5 year old and 2 older dogs. Chris recently did our family photos on the beach.He was quick to respond to my inquiry and we easily came to a mutual date.Our one grandson age 2 1/2 hates to have his picture taken and is usually less than cooperative. That night I think Chris sprinkled some angel dust on him. He was so enamored with Chris he could not get enough of him. He had a blast and so did we watching him and our other grandson cooperate and have fun with the photos. The photos came out great.
