She is often very busy, but she and I always chat and exchange pleasantries. I have brought many items to the store to sell, and everything I have brought has sold quickly! Her pricing is very fair, for the seller and the buyer. The store has a great variety of items, from antiques to more modern-day items. They have large pieces, like china cabinets, and smaller pieces like occasional tables and knickknacks. I love this store and I will continue to sell items here, as well as purchase items. I quickly let them know I'm brand new and looking to start needlepoint quite soon. I picked up a Waffle House canvas (my first 18 count as my blueberry pancakes is a 13) and some thread. Jane was especially kind to not have me spend too much seeing as though this will be one of my first projects and helped select essentials thread for my stitching. There's that itty bitty part of me that always wants the good stuff but I'm sure this will be just fine seeing as though I'm not even certain how this whole new found desire to make this a hobby of mine will turn out. I stitched my first stitch with Jane and she was very encouraging and supportive. Their classes are sold out for the remainder of the year which feels common in the area. I'm really hoping to find a great one somewhere because I love hands on learning and feel most comfy around a professional to get started and answer questions that will undoubtedly arise. We'll see, as each day passes I'm growing more confident in just starting on my own with videos. I now have just about everything I think I'll need to begin. Jane gave me a project bag and some travel scissors in addition to a couple other needles. I liked her suggestion to not use stretcher bars, although I have some I may experiment with different ways to see which I prefer. Parking is a little wonky in the area due to construction on Lovers Lane, I'd suggest trying to park across the road if you can't snag a spot on their side.

Every single canvas here could have gone home with me and I'd have been thrilled. The collection is so fresh and contemporary, it actually made me want to start five projects at once. They don't have a ton of large-format canvases, but there are some. Personally, I just wrapped up a belt project that took me...wait for it...20 years. Yes, two decades. I like to think of it as slow stitching, not procrastination. After finally finishing, over the past 6 or so months, I searched and searched for my next project and am a little bummed I didn't find this shop sooner. Turns out they weren't on Yelp. I actually stumbled upon them on TikTok, and in true enabler fashion, I set them up on Yelp myself. I had already bought my next canvases online, so when I came in I only needed all the fun extras to get started. Alice, who helped me, was fantastic. She set me up with the perfect thread colors, a needle minder, needles, stretcher bars and pins, and even a stitch book. Basically, she made sure I had everything except the snacks to sustain me through my next marathon project. And get this, they have in store classes too (check the website)! I'm absolutely psyched to go, because I could use a few tips to shorten my average project timeline from 20 years to less than 10. This place is such a great find. Whether you're brand new and "needlepoint curious" or a long-hauler like me, stop here first. You'll walk out happy, inspired, and probably with way more goodies than you planned. It's over for me! I decided I'd stop in my first store today. I'd ordered the Gingher Stork Embroidery Scissors nearly two years ago when I first had the slightest inclination that I may want to dabble down this road. I'm now completely enthralled. This coming from a woman who is not impressed by anything, at all, ever. I'm ordering books, supplies, watching videos, listening to podcasts and gearing up to really take this on soon. I couldn't wait for a class to become available, I needed immediate satisfaction today and I knew that would come in the form of getting my hands on the goods. No time to wait on a delivery. I had two local shops in mind and did another google search and decided my first stop would be Saville. Who am I to rate a needlepoint shop?! I know nothing! But here we are, giving my unsolicited opinion is one of many strengths in life. I loved the warm, friendly, welcoming environment. I found my first project, and got set up with my canvas, threads, needle, stretcher boards and tacks. I'm eagerly awaiting a class to post because your girl has got to get this going. My bank account has no idea what's about to hit it. I've already called home to tell my mother she needs to quit her job and become a finisher so I don't have extended wait times on my projects. I sent an inquiry to A&A and received a very enthusiastic reply saying my chairs were great and as soon as I agreed , she would send over the consignment form. Pretty standard. 50/50 split, but if she sells them online she charges you the consignor another $100 fee. But oh and you have to deliver the pieces to them. They have no delivery or pickup infrastructure in place. What kind of furniture store doesn't deliver ??? I explained in email that my chairs will not fit in either of our vehicles ( and I will not crush them in to make them fit ) and I got ... crickets. No further replies. This store wants no hassles , just bring them the stuff, then they rob you of half the value plus and then make the buyers pick up! Crazy. Plus the quality of items they sell is questionable at best. See a photo of these formica hexagon tables that are chipped dirty and frankly look sourced from a thrift store. So given that they want nothing to do with handling their stock ( my stock essentially ) why would I entrust my chairs to them? Since writing this Erin has sent two emails to get me to change my review.

I've had some disappointing (to say the least) surprises at other frame shops so I'm always hesitant to trust them. E.g.- Once someone cut off the deckled edge of a linocut print. Another shop decided that the wooden frame that I picked out needed to be touched up with red "accent" paint. (Neither of these choices were previously discussed with me.) Having artwork framed should be straightforward, easy, and ultimately you need to know that your items will be kept safe and that the integrity of the piece will not be compromised. So when I relocated to Dallas I took a couple of prints in to test the waters and now I fully trust Art & Frame Expo with anything! I've been going here for years. At this point I've taken well over a dozen items in for framing and I've found them to be nothing but professional. I'm always excited to work with them and trust their opinion as well. Customer service is top notch! They do beautiful, high quality work and for those that think it's too expensive, all I can say is- you get what you pay for.
