While the roses were fresh, the bouquet I received looked very different from the advertised photo. I visited this place at the Eastern Market on Saturday. I had picked out three beautiful flowers and the wonderful guy (Patrick/ Patricio) wrapped them for me. I went to pay with my card and realized they only took cash and had a $15minimum and immediately felt bad (i did not have cash on me nor passed the $15 min.) However he was more than understanding and just gave them too me. Before this all occurred I had been telling him that my boyfriend didn't get into his dream college and these flowers were to cheer him up! Not only will he be cheered up, but now I am too for your kindness and understanding! I will be back, and ordering from this place for sure in the future. I called them to order Mothers Day flowers and yes I was a last minute order. (5/6/2022) So I do understand That they may not have what I ordered in stock and may have to substitute. However I ordered an African violet which is an indoor plant in a beautiful vase that had hues of blue and green in them. What arrived at my daughters doorstep was a begonia which is an outdoor plant and only an annual. So substituting an outdoor plant for an indoor plant and not even putting it in the same vase, I called the greenhouse to see if we could work something out along the lines of what I wanted for my daughter. The girl told me the manager would have to call me back because they were busy, totally understand that. Waited three days called again and did not receive an answer. I am still waiting for the call back. I live an hour away and work six days a week or I would drive there and speak to them in person. I would have at least hoped they put it in the same vase and delivered an indoor plant which was similar to what I ordered not something that goes outside and does not come back the following year! A little disappointed in their customer service and unless I get a callback I highly doubt I will be using them again although I know it doesn't matter because they are a big greenhouse I still feel I should've at least deserve that phone call back! read more

I wanted my sister to have beautiful flower arrangements for her wedding, but I didn't know exactly what I wanted. All I knew was that I didn't have a lot of money to spend on them. Thankfully, my family encouraged me to reach out to Patrick. I met with Patrick one afternoon and gave him a general idea of what I was looking for, and he totally ran with it. I knew the arrangements would be beautiful, because Patrick has done the flowers for a lot of my family's events, but I didn't know what the arrangements would look like. When I walked into the venue after the ceremony, I was stunned - the arrangements were gorgeous and looked fantastic with the rustic, woodsy elements we had arranged on the tables. The arrangement from Chris Engel's Greenhouse was absolutely stunning! It was everything a woman wants in flowers... fresh, vibrant, lush, large blossoms, so beautifully arranged! It made both the recipient and the senders smile! For a first time experience, we couldn't have been more pleased. We first met Patrick at Eastern Market and sought him out for our wedding in May 2012 in a historic Detroit building (the Scarab Club). He was extremely professional but it was clear that he also really cared about doing a good job. We knew the look we wanted and Patrick made it happen with an artistic flair, going above and beyond.
