    My spouse and I purchased an auto insurance policy with Liberty Mutual in August 2025. Our first…read morepayment was declined due to a new bank account. On August 12, we called Liberty Mutual and provided updated payment info. The representative confirmed receipt, but Liberty Mutual never processed it and canceled our policy on August 14 without notifying us. On October 13, 2025, our state sent notice that we were uninsured and owed a penalty. We contacted Liberty Mutual on October 17 and learned for the first time that our policy had been canceled. We immediately opened a new policy and requested review of the August 12 call to confirm we provided updated payment details. Since then, we've spoken with over a dozen representatives, all promising "escalation" and supervisor follow-up that never occurs. We've been told Liberty Mutual is responsible and should resolve this. We have asked them to: -Review the August 12 call recording; -Reinstate our original policy retroactively and correct the record with the state; -Resolve the state-issued fine for being uninsured, caused by Liberty Mutual's failure to process payment; and -Adjust our current premium, now more than double the original rate. We face a November 12, 2025 state fine deadline. Representatives advised us not to pay it, saying Liberty Mutual would handle it, yet as of November 6, no resolution or follow-up has occurred. We have acted in good faith and kept detailed records. Liberty Mutual's ongoing failure to respond and correct this error has caused significant stress and financial harm. We respectfully request BBB's help to ensure Liberty Mutual: -Reviews and acts on the August 12 call recording; -Reinstates and corrects our policy record; -Resolves the issue and fine with the state; and -Returns our premium to the original rate
