I used Beach Screen on multiple jobs and their work was satisfactory, until it wasn't. He recently installed new screening on a newly painted pool cage, and within 30 days it was coming apart in a few spots. He was in no hurry to repair and when he came to look at the job he wanted to charge a very high price to fix, blaming the damage on other factors. I've received lower bids from vendors I've never used. Don simply told me to look elsewhere to get the repairs done. You find out more about businesses when things aren't 100% than you do when everything is A ok!! There are other issues here as well, but won't get into them at this time!!!

The technician Matt called 30 minutes before he arrived. He was polite and explained everything in detail. The original estimate from the cleaning company we use wanted to replace the entire unit. Matt just adjusted a few things and replaced with one o-ring and the leak stopped. He saved us $800!!! This is why you ALWAYS need to get more than one estimate. I would definitely recommend them for any repairs, and we will use them again (but I hope we don't have to LOL!).

Direct Screening was one of the companies that responded. I posted on a Wednesday and Troy told me he could possibly fit me in on Sunday. He was very good and responsive with communication. He sent me a message on Thursday morning asking if he could come out in the evening since he had another job nearby. I told him he can come anytime because I was home. He text 30 minutes before he arrived. He was friendly and professional. We found another damaged screen panel that was small, and he quoted to fix it for an additional $20. His pricing overall was VERY reasonable. He repaired the screens in about an hour. It was impressive because one was directly over the pool so not possible to just put a ladder underneath. But that did not stop him from scaling the support beams and fixing the ceiling panel. After he was complete, he had several ways to pay, but we used Zelle. I would absolutely use Troy again and I will refer him to anyone else who is looking for screen repair or installation.

I selected Gulf Stream Pools to do my renovation. because of their performance in other pools, their quality, and value. work started in January 2026 and completed on time in March 2026. All requested work was perfectly provided, on schedule and within the price contractually provided. I highly recommend Fabian and his team.

I have many photos of careless work, failure to clean up not only construction debris , but personal items such as cigarettes, lunch containers, water and cola bottles. Also, at the end of everyday there were screws, screening, etc. left in the bottom of the pool. I had asked for a cover for this exact reason-possible rust stains- and was told that the crew is VERY careful and checks everyday. However, nothing such as a shop vac or even a broom was ever brought to the site. My pool person left several pieces of equipment for scooping out the bottom and she changed the filter to run after work hours throughout the night so the workers could see what needed to be taken out on a daily basis. Then there is the final result- obviously, someone from Lafferty measured incorrectly because after 22 years of a straight back cage wall, I now have a slanted one that, in effect, presents an appearance of an uneven slant that is very noticeable. Also, the vertical bars that abutted each side of the raised fountain area are off kilter- one abuts and the other is about 10" off to the right. I will need to have a new pool deck installed; they don't tell you that they will not follow the original vertical locations nor cover them with the new construction. The first inspection failed because there were many areas that needed change to make the cage stronger. A second inspection has not been done. I suppose it's 'looser' in Brevard County than Indian River. HOWEVER, I was emailed today in response to my request to adjust the screen door-huge gaps- that Lafferty will not do anymore work until the final payment is made! A workman told me that Lafferty has been fined several times. I certainly wish I had known that before agreeing to this project, Outwardly, the salesman appears very knowledgeable and promised me that the cage would be the same design but with much better materials. That's what I asked for and the drawings supported that. This company has never understood the concept of trying to make the customer happy. Nor do the owners have much integrity, from what I wrote above to notarizing a document that contained my signature but not in my presence nor with my permission.

When I finally got the phone message they would come out Tuesday but to call them back before 5 pm to confirm which I did. My husband also got a call twice from them and a woman named As--- told him they would be at the house between 9 and 11 am Tuesday. I waited until mid morning and called them to see what the holdup was. I spoke with Ar that it was going to be the afternoon before anyone was to come. By this time I was so angry having to wait when they changed the schedule without notification. I spoke with Br ------who just gave me another excuse that As ----was not the person to make the decision on the schedule. Why and How would my husband know the time unless he was informed by someone in the clueless office people?? They need to get their brains together and have one delegated informed individual to deal with customers. The way I see it they were very prompt with getting their money but piss poor on office management.

The owner, Dave, offered to paint the concrete and ultimately took the cost of materials off the total when we opted to do an epoxy floor with another company. When there was a drainage problem, they came right back out and added a second downspout and water diverter on the roof. With each interaction, everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous. We appreciated their willingness to discuss concerns and address in a timely manner. We love our new room with the "no see it" screen! I definitely recommend them if you're looking to hire a hometown company to construct your screen room!
