My wife, Joanna and I found Craig at a bridal showcase about a year before our wedding and immediately knew we wanted him to be our videographer (make that cinematographer) for our wedding, even if it meant changing our wedding day! Craig's motto is that he doesn't just create a wedding video... he creates a love story. His warm (sometimes eccentric?) personality, uncompromising work ethic, and creative vision will result in an absolutely amazing trailer and video of your wedding day! And did I mention he has drones, 360 cameras, and even GoPros? That's in addition to the traditional equipment of course. Of all the vendors we had to select for our wedding day, we knew that video would be the most important (after all, you'll be watching the video with your family and friends for decades to remember your wedding by), and we are SO glad we made the investment in Craig and his terrific company. The first step with Craig is to schedule a time to meet in his office, where he'll show you some of the videos he's produced and ask about your vision for your wedding. When you book TAWP, you're actually booking Craig (he shoots every event himself), and his spaces book up quickly, so be sure to see him as soon as you can! He'll then come up with a package deal for you that aligns with that vision (we selected the Paparazzi package, which included an engagement shoot, drones, GoPros, and DVDs--it was well worth the price!). Soon after, you'll book an engagement shoot with Craig. He weaves the footage from the engagement shoot into your wedding footage, which really helps to tell an incredible story about you as a couple. The engagement shoot was also a LOT of fun and helps you become more familiar with Craig's style (similar to how you would want to do an engagement shoot with your wedding photographer). What's most impressive about Craig (aside from his brilliant vision and flawless execution) is how much he truly cares about his couples. He gets to know you like family and keeps in touch with you throughout your engagement and beyond! We found ourselves chatting with Craig more than any other vendor and thought of him like family, so on our wedding day we had already built this incredible rapport. And boy does his level of care show on the wedding day itself! Craig was literally working up a sweat on our wedding day, working so hard to ensure he got all the footage he needed (and more) from every conceivable angle to produce an amazing video for us. I was blessed to come around a beautiful soul, my event manager of the reception hall I chose. He sang praises of a photographer that captures the essence of your day and depicts it like a fairy tale.This is how we came across the Patken Photography team. We spoke to Doug Gordon, the owner of this establishment and met several photographers at the bridal showcases held by our vendor. It was a friendly yet professional ordeal. Which i loved, knowing that our wedding will be a headache and a half as any west indian hindu wedding can be. Patken offers a engagement shoot months prior to your event so you can be comfortable with their team and also the photographers can build a relation with you as their would be no awkward moments of "who the hell are you and no i don't want to swing off a tree". You will also receive a courtesy call from each photographer that is assigned to your event. Brides beware, Patken does not recommend having multiple photographers per event, but it can be added if needed. The best thing about the Patken team is their ability to feel like family. We were assigned Kevin, the indian wedding specialist, and Mike the best videographer out there for our first event. Kevin and Mike showed up hours before the event and as everyone knows this is when there is all hell break loose when it comes to an west indian event. They were able to mingle and become one of our own that made the day go seamless as possible. Vinny was our photographer for our second event at our reception hall and i couldnt have asked for someone better. Vinny was down to earth and a real trooper when it came to being with my mile long wedding dress and my impromptu outfit change. Or the never ending line of guest photos he had to take. (bored yet?) well those were all the good stuff, now on to my let downs. Patken offers a retouching service with all of their packages to create what they consider the perfect image. When your images are finished editing, Patken emails you an online gallery for each separate day. We were so overjoyed working with this team that in my mind i felt that they can do no wrong. But after seeing my images, the cracks in my "perfect photographers" began to show. My wedding ceremony pictures were a complete let down. What irked me the most was that we were assigned a photographer who specialized in our event type, so there should be no doubts in my mind that their would be images that would make my heart skip a beat. Ha!. I ended up with a lot of images that were overly retouched, which made it look tacky and fake. And I also have random pictures that I wouldn't even care for. I was truly disappointed. My reception day pictures was the only saving grace. These pictures were the reason that i would still consider recommending the Patken Photography Team. Vinny captured some real money maker shots. As a result the pictures are bleh especially the ones in our home where she had no thought to remove the dog bed from the photo shot. After the wedding is also a nightmare. We weren't planning to have a…read morevideographer but at the last minute (about two weeks before the big day) we had a change of heart. I was anxious that it would be to late to find someone who could do justice to the occasion, and to make things more difficult we were on a very tight budget. Johan was very responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with from the get-go. He took the time to understand what we were looking for and really cared about delivering something we would cherish. On our big day he went above and beyond when our plan to capture the sound from our officiant's lav mic didn't go as planned and our vows didn't come through clearly. We only had booked him for an hour to film the ceremony as we were on a tight budget, but he offered to stay and re-record our vows, which I'm so glad we did - he did a ton of extra editing work to meticulously dub the sound over and even added some beautiful and tasteful artistic touches like adding our recessional song to the end which was a really thoughtful addition. Given that we had originally asked him to only deliver raw footage, he definitely went above and beyond (and never asked for a penny more than the original quote)!! It's clear that Johan really cares about his work and wanted to make sure we were happy with the finished product. We will cherish our video for years to come - thank you Johan!

Through their Instagram, we were able to watch some of their past work, which really helped us make our decision. We fell in love with them so quickly, because they have such a sweet, intimate style, while also emphasizing how cinematic the day really is. Jose and Arantza were such an integral part of making our day run seamlessly. The only time we remembered we were on camera was when they were cheering us on, and making us feel beautiful with compliments. Having never worked with a videographer in the past, we were not sure what standard pricing looked like. But I can attest to the fact that they are worth every penny. We received our two wedding videos (1 preview, and 1 longform) immediately after our honeymoon, and we haven't stopped watching them since. To this day, I cry every single time. They did such an incredible job, capturing the tiny details, and sewing them together beautifully during editing. They even documented moments we weren't able to witness, making it even more fun to watch. We got to see our guests truly enjoying the day, thanks to this video. What's more: Arantza was incredibly respectful when adding the mics underneath our clothing at different times.
