During both events Joseph was open to whatever photos we wanted to take (I was able to squeeze in a cheesy prom looking photo with the wedding party) but he made it extremely easy to take beautiful pictures with his guidance and eye for detail. Through this whole process, Joseph was always available through call, text or email. He was always quick to respond to any of our questions. Overall he is a great person to have as a photographer he really gets to know you and incorporates that into what pictures/poses would work best. During the wedding we got many compliments about how the interactions between us and him felt like he had known us for years. He was our wedding photographer and we couldn't have wished for anything better. He was completely helpful and accommodating during the entire process; from booking, to planning, to the day of the event and even after our wedding was over. First of all the initial meeting with him was great. He had a lot of information examples and work to show us which we liked. He was very nice and has a great sense of humor which made planning our wedding that much easier. He explained everything to us in a very easy way and was more than willing to answer all of our questions. In our first meeting it was very obvious that he has tons of experience and great advice to give. The day of the event was even better. My bride and I both have large, loud, active Hispanic families. Lol. So we were a bit worried that trying to get everyone organized and attentive enough to get the pictures done was going to be hard. Furthermore our church only gave us 20 minutes after the ceremony to get all the pictures done. Joseph said, "leave it up to me and we will get all the pictures you want" He was right!! He was not shy around our 2 crazy families and was able to handle them like he was one of us. He was bold and assertive and that was exactly what we needed. We asked him if we could add a third location of picture taking at my brides house and he said, "sure not a problem". Like I said - super accommodating. He swung by and took a set of pictures that my wife really wanted to have with no problem or hiccups. The rest of the pictures were done at a park by the water in Long Beach. Joseph did a great job of incorporating our surroundings. My bride and I both love the sea and he made sure that all of our pictures had that feeling of being by the water. He had great picture ideas and concepts which made our pictures so much better that we expected. The rest of the wedding went without a hitch. He got every single shot we had hoped and planned to get with him. He told us that being able to tell a complete story of the day was the most important thing in shooting our wedding. He went about and beyond in doing so. He even stayed later that we had planned just to make sure he got all the shots he needed. Also, let's not forget all the cheesy jokes he told our wedding party... we laughed at him but he got what he wanted - which was our attention. I've met and worked with many photographers in my day and Jason is without a doubt - top of the list. Jason took the time to meet us in person during our visit to Tiara and carefully interviewed us on what we were looking for. He was super friendly and kind which we truly appreciated. We decided on a 2 consecutive day shoot and Jason was flexible to schedule things out for us right away. We loved the locations Jason chose for our pictures and what we also appreciated is that he would check the weather and see if we should reschedule or not. Once we were on location, Jason had a calming approach to what could have been a stressful situation, especially for someone not comfortable being in front of the camera...never mind being dressed up in a suite on a hot day. Jason and his assistant Mindy moved us quickly from one place to another and made us feeling comfortable being model-like posing for as he directed. His flow was smooth from one shot to another and I personally never felt awkward. I've worked with other photoghaphers in the past that easily got frustrated or made you feel like you were not being good subjects but not Jason. He made us feel like we were doing great in all our poses and never made us feel bad....even though we had no idea what we were doing on some of our poses. (LOL!!) While we're waiting for the final product to be delivered, we had a sneak peak to few shots and oh man.... they look pretty darn amazing. The pictures came out better than we had ever imagined and Jason really did an amazing job capturing the desires of our hearts in this photo shoot. My wife is incredibly happy and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us. I could tell he spent time on editing but making it as natural as possible. We really liked Thomas' modern, photo journalistic approach that made it look like a beautiful moment captured in time instead of a forced pose. He has a level of skill that you would normally find in a more expensive photographer, yet he charges a reasonable price. We decided on an engagement session at the Disney Concert Hall and neighboring areas. We had some ideas of our own that Thomas put his own spin on and made them even better than we could've imagined!
