They are caring, thoughtful and not perfect, which is something I can relate to. I have made this place my home church and would recommend this church to anyone looking for a loving church family. But God had led me to this church so I went. Immediately, my family was blessed by excellent Biblical teaching from Sunday School/Sunday Service and examples of authentic Christianity where people really love and take care of others. There are many volunteers who serve: in Sunday School teaching where I learn something new every week (even after 34 years of church!), in the Nursery to help share the responsibility, at a truly amazing youth center, talented musicians on the worship team, and in outreach, like the Beach Bucket, Homeland Disciples, and PIN ministry on-site. There is so much being done from this place, it is truly amazing. Even if we have to move, we will come back to Beach regularly, as it has become a home to us and part of our family. We need you too! Come to Sunday School at 10 am Sundays and service at 11 and hear what God is saying to His church. Share a hug, pray with a stranger and make a new friend! God is moving and His blessings abound!

My son, who was not even 2 yet also loved it. He is almost 3 now and is overjoyed when it is time to go to church. There have been a couple periods of time where I have missed several weeks of church and each time when I return I have never felt shame or guilt. Essential has been our church home for 5 years. The message is always on point and the community aspect is amazing. They're the type of church where you can come as you are and you'll fit right in. Their youth program is phenomenal and our little ones really enjoy the eKids room. They offer a celebrate recovery (CR) program every Wednesday night. This program is for anyone who has a hurt, habit or hangup (which is everyone, let's be honest ‍) It's changed my life in so many ways. We can't say enough about this church. And they live behind the scenes carrying the Lords heart to Love God and to Truly Love people. The way they've expressed genuine desire to see life transformed by the Hands of God is truly refreshing coming all the way from Washington. They don't leave it at simply wanting an encounter of Jesus for those around them, but place into action the steps to ushering people into His presence and a life lived out for Jesus. After 5 years, I am done with this church. I have tried…read morebeing a volunteer in different avenues, going to small group, a women's group and my children were heavily involved in the youth group for all 5 years. After numerous unpleasant experiences, my family and I had withdrawn completely but I still allowed my children to go to the Youth Group. Two weeks ago, Lacey, the Youth Coordinator, went on stage and said that having anxiety is a sin. Several of the kids expressed disgust and disbelief at her statements but none would accompany my daughter to address it with Lacey who denies what she said. She also refused to address it even as a "Hey, if this is what was perceived or came across that's not my intention". Both the pastor, Jason, and Lacey were offended I asked they not sweep this mental health attack under the rug but then all the adults stood by the decision to not address it to the whole group, wanting to only address it on a one by one basis. Except many kids are terrified of speaking up to adults much less ones in the church. My children are heart broken to be removed but any church that will not admit to, address or correct harmful behaviors or even the perception of harmful behaviors cannot be trusted with our youth. Lacey and her family are well positioned into the church and their family very close to the pastors, I believe this has blinded Jason to the toxic behaviors that both Becky Bruner and Lacey have displayed over the years. And there no getting anyone to see it.

The bulk of the body is 20 and 30 somethings, but there is a solid group of 'grey hairs' there to impart wisdom and mentor those of us who desperately need it. Redemption teaches mostly expositionally. During the summers they typically pick an overarching topic to preach through. The members are friendly and inviting and they have community groups in multiple cities in the area that allow for deeper relationships and great friendships to develop. This is a church worth giving a shot.
