I visited the church's morning service on October 4, 2009. The service began about 10:00 AM, and ended about 11:45 AM. This is a small church - 90 chairs are set up on a Sunday, and this week there were about 45 attenders. The people are very welcoming and friendly, seeking out visitors but not overwhelming on the first visit. The dress is casual, and the worship style is contemporary. The service was about 1/3 music lead by lay people, about 1/3 communion (they celebrate the Lord's supper every Sunday) and church business (baptism, scripture reading and reflections by Elders, offering), and about 1/3 sermon (children's church is offered during the sermon). The sermon itself was expository out of Revelation 3, and was a good mix of scholarly discussion and direct application to the Congregation's lives. The pastor has no pulpit, but walked freely about the church, and enjoys a very interactive (but not socratic) style of presentation. Overall, I had a very good experience at the church. The gospel is preached, the people take care of each other, and there is a strong emphasis on ministering to the community around them.

In order to be more like God would have us to be we ALL must be taught what God would have us to be. No more, no less. God's way is simple to understand but hard to accomplish within ourselves. That is because of ourselves not because of God. What's God's way and his word? If you really and truly want to know, go to Reclaim and spend a few years finding out. There are two campuses and then three mass times here on Sundays…read more There is a newly redone kids ministry and there are also services and bible studies geared for/to young adults. It seems like there are always new faces and it can be challenging to find parking if you are late to mass but that's just simply because there are so many attendees! The mass starts with worship and then there is a message from the pastor, similar to a catholic homily. The leaders are warm and friendly. Very large building & they do have weddings here! I was a bridesmaid for one in the main worship area (not pictured) last summer. There is another campus in East Windsor but note that it is a bit smaller and the services are live streamed from this location to that one!

Pastor Erik does not sugar coat the meaning of God's word like many priests and pastors do. So of the lessons he teaches are tough but they force us to grow both as Christian's and in our faith. Even when you have been an active parishioner since 1974. It's alright to go to service, happily give your monetary contribution faithfully. In addition to yearly memorial masses for deceased family members- along with the applicable fees paid to the church of course. If you do happen to stop by on "off hours"... does The Lord actually have "off hours"? Gods House Does Not. But human beings do. But I digress. Be careful going to the church during the so called off hours- otherwise, you will unfortunately see a very different side of the people at the Lords House. You will have "someone" (a person who will not give you a name or their title) scream at you to get off of private property during those "off hours". In addition, you will be told that the person is calling the police. One thinks.... calling the police for what reason? But do not ask: leave quickly. Otherwise you will become the subject of more rage and bullying, along with the threat of police "arresting you". Ahhh, Imagine this: being "arrested" while stopping by to say a prayer on what a human being deems to be "off hours". Mind you- those off hours are during the day. I'm not speaking of the middle of the night where there can be a potential for robbery. Bright, sunny, middle of the day.... any day of the week. I know the Lord will consider it a sin for a human being to treat another human being in this manor. Not only on HIS Property, at HIS House but Anywhere in HIS Universe. This church is a prime example of what is wrong with our Catholic religion. Sadly, after 44 years of faithful attendance, I will be going to a church that is more welcoming to its parishioners and humanity as a whole.

I grew up attending St. Josephs school till 6th grade, attended church three times a week, went to…read moreconfession weekly, received all my sacraments, spoke at every 7:30 am mass, was an alter server, a part of the youth group, sung in the choir, and worked the carnival every year. My dad's funeral was at this church 4 years ago and we attend church when we can due to being first responders and working doubles. This all means absolutely nothing to this parish. This church has become such a JOKE and a DISGRACE. I called to get my letter to be my newphews God mother and was told no by Marilyn and the "priest" because I am not a "registered parishioner" and don't attend mass. When I asked how they would know if I attended or not, no answer was given. I said is it because I am not putting money in an envelope? Marilyn replied... "well no, not necessarily." Well, I would love to know how you take attendance at church... oh, wait you don't. Last I checked, there is NOTHING in the Bible stating I have to give money to be a parishioner. You never know someone's financial situation and it is disgusting to see how greedy the Catholic Church has become. My mom called to speak to the "priest" - he was BEYOND rude. He asked her "where do you attend church?" My moms reply was, "I have had a tough time getting back to church since my husband died..." The "priests" response was... "maybe that's your entire family's issue." What GENUINE person... a "child of God's" makes such an asinine comment to a widow. I would NEVER recommend anyone to attend this church. Being a first responder, a Catholic, a God mother to other children means nothing. It's INCREDIBLE that you can ENTER the United States of America easier than it is to become a God mother. I'm sure God has forgiven me for not being a "registered parishioner" ... that's the LEAST of his worries compared to the priests of the Catholic Churches who HAVE and CONTINUE to do WORSE to our INNOCENT children. Disgusted is an understatement.
