Today was my first day coming to this church. I go to the gym across the street and I see it every…read moresingle Saturday. A couple weekends ago I saw that they were having baptisms on Sunday so I made a reservation and I got baptized today. Everything is pretty casual. So don't feel weird if you have tattoos. You don't have to come fancy. I stayed for the sermon and it was very nice. It wasn't extremely long and it got to the point. Everybody was nice. They have water and coffee there for you. When you come in to get baptized, they will give you a shirt to wear. So it is best to wear shorts and bring clothes to change. They do have towels for you. When I was a child, I had to go to the J.W. church and I would be there for about 4-6 hours long and it would be literally painful. There was so much negative reasons why I left. It honestly made me uncomfortable. This church made me feel welcome. I felt like everyone was just human. Me and my husband will be back.

Worship song selections seem to be made very carefully to make sure the lyrics/messages are consistent with the Church's values and not taking unnecessary artistic liberties (I.e., not secularizing or misappropriating biblical teachings/concepts). The vast majority of people I have spoken with seem committed to fulfilling God's purpose for both themselves and for the ministries they are involved in. I've not been left with the impression that the people serving are "in it" for their own personal recognition or glory, which is very refreshing and important for anyone serving in a church ministry. The grounds are kept very nice and the auditorium, community center, classrooms, bathrooms, and common are clean, organized, and up-to-date.

The worship is pure, and not a flashy, demonstrative show. The atmosphere is casual, allowing for the community to come as they are, respecting God on every level. God's word is presented with understanding of what the Bible says; no less, no more. My relationship with God is closer than ever, shepherded by this wonderful congregation, whom I consider family.
