Here are my complaints: The contract says that we would get our photos back in TWO WEEKS. We got them TWO MONTHS later after following up several times and getting the runaround. (I mean, two months is fine but not when you set expectations for 2 weeks.) We received over 1100 photos, many duplicates, triplicates, quadruplicates (you get my drift) of the same picture...so why did it take two months???) Even with some good pictures, the photos were not centered, cropped, straightened, or well positioned. We even received photos that were completely blurry. (WHY?) No attention to details...(isn't it the whole point of this work?) My advice, just have your friends take the 1100 pictures and edit them yourself. At least you wouldn't be upset about paying a "professional" for the same quality. (Out of respect for our friends' and family's privacy, we are unable to share most of the photos but here are a few to address the point.)

Be very careful when signing contract with her and explicitly ask for a term when she cannot show up for your event. The problem is not with her photo skills, but her business ethics. We originally had a contract with her to have our wedding photo. A few days before the wedding, she messages us to cancel the appointment due to fear of COVID. Although this give us huge problem because we don't have time to find an alternative, we nevertheless totally understood her and agreed to cancel the appointment. But then she refused to refund us the deposit of $900. After some negotiation with her, she said that we can use it as credit if we have other photo graph needs. Although we are super unhappy with this, we kind of accepted the offer. Then one year later, when our baby was born and we wanted to have 100 day photo graph for her, she agreed to come to take photo for us. But on the day of the photo graph, my wife and I have everything decorated and also took time off, we ask her when would she arrive she said she was in the hospital taking care of her brother and was too tired, and apparently didn't remember there was an appointment with us... I don't know if the second case it was true, but Oona was so unresponsive when we talk to her, it seems that she only cared about getting and retaining our deposit and nothing else. In the end she refunded us HALF of our deposit. But I guess everyone who had a wedding or child knows, it is not about money: our wedding won't happen twice, neither would our baby become 100 days again.

From then, I have had difficulty even communicating with this company. It was several weeks before I could even schedule an appointment with this company because I could not get in contact with her. I had a phone number and an email address and neither of them I could communicate with. Several weeks from the date of purchase, I was given the opportunity to schedule an appointment, but I was pressured into scheduling for a time that did not work for me and in a location that did not work for me. However, I took the appointment because I knew that there was going to be slim to no chance of me being able to schedule a different appointment with her that would work. Knowing that it was written in the contract that I would receive a free consultation, I asked for one, but no longer seemed an option with this company. When we finally shot the photographs on August 13, it was not what I had expected either. I had to pay extra for a hotel room, which was not a hotel room that I particularly liked. The offer was also supposed to include snacks and wine. While I had wine, I was not offered snacks. After I shot the photographs, I was told it would be a few weeks and they would send me a link to the photos so that I could view them and select the ones I wanted. It is not October 13, two months after shooting the photos, and I have never seen my photographs. I cannot even get in contact with this company to see where my photographs are. I have emailed both Julie and her assistant several times and I cannot tell you how frustrated I am that I cannot get in a response from either of them. Living Social had to close the deal because this company had so many complaints and was not able to uphold their contract. I have no idea what they are going to do with my photos, since I have never seen them and I know that she is looking for exposure. Therefore, I would STRONGLY suggest against purchasing this deal because it has been nothing but frustrating.
