If you hire Tasha and Tom as your photographers, you're guaranteed to have the most beautiful photos and you're also going to meet two people who truly love what they do. I could have not asked for better photographers, they were absolutely perfect. When I called to inquire, Tasha spoke to me for an hour about her role in a wedding and what she does during your special day. She was so kind (I'd never planned a wedding before and don't know too much about photography) in explaining everything and even pulled up my venue on the phone to explain where we should line up the ceremony to get the most beauty out of the room. She checked in every couple months and would send other photos she had recently taken of other weddings, which was really lovely to see! She even sent cute pics of her Corgis over the Holidays when checking in. At the wedding, at least 20 people told me how much they enjoyed working with my photographers and if you have no clue what photos you want done, Tasha will have a vision for you and find a way to pull out the most unique photos from the venue. There was a willow tree at our venue and we got some true Lord of the Rings photos that turned out so beautiful. She immediately recognized whenever I needed a second to pause and take a breath, I simply could have not been more comfortable getting my photos taken by someone. She even asked all my bridesmaids if they 'had a side they liked better or anything they were self conscious of' so she could keep that in mind when doing photos. Tasha also got Teaser photos to us THE NEXT DAY and got the rest of our photos to us within in a week. Hiring Tasha was one of the best things I did for our Wedding. If you like working with people who love what they do, hire Tasha! I just wish I had more occcasions to hire her again, because I genuinely just liked being around her and Tom. I had very particular locations, shots and details that I had in mind and Tasha worked with me to make sure she understood my vision perfectly- and boy did she! Tasha and Tom did my sisters wedding and a family function a number of years ago so she was on my interview list for our wedding. We just got married at Hidden Meadows in August and probably spent the largest amount of our time trying to find the perfect photographer. There are sooooo many out there and we wanted to make sure we were getting the most bang for our buck, but also the best quality! We met with about 7 photographers, some of them charged 7 grand just to take pictures at your wedding and this included NOTHING else. We were shocked that people can get away with this. So anyways, a few of my friends told me to try Tasha Owen and it was the best decision we could have made! We paid between 3-5 grand but it included everything we wanted. Such as engagement pics, pictures from the wedding and engagement photos on Cd's, a photo album, an enlarged picture on canvas, it included her driving time/gas all the way from Tacoma. And not only that but she was absolutely hilarious and so fun to be around. Her and her husband Tom work together and were entertaining everyone, it was like a free comedy show when we were getting our pictures taken ha ha. She is also very punctual and kept the pictures going so we could get them over with as soon as possible... and she made sure to accommodate the older people so they didn't have to walk too far or stand on unsteady ground. Tasha also LOVES dogs and was so sweet to my baby dog Candy and even brought dog treats to the wedding (because Candy was our ring bearer lol). One thing that I loved about Tasha (besides the fact that she is amazing at her job and is a great people person), is that she sends you "teaser" photos a few days after she takes your pictures! It's so fun because she chooses like 10 of her favorites and it makes you REALLY want to see the rest of them ha ha! Her and her husband are so thoughtful and considerate.... one example of this is how Tasha carries a little "photography belt" around her waist (if that's what you call it? lol) and it holds everything she needs including water for the bride and groom and little snacks. She even grabbed us some food from the caterer so that we could eat some veggies and cheese when we went on our carriage ride. Tasha also gets to the venue early and scopes things out and chooses the best places to take photos. On our carriage ride we went to this amazing barn (just down the road) and she went and talked to the guy to make sure it was okay. You can tell her and Tom want your pictures and wedding to be perfect- I didn't feel like "I was just another client" to her, I felt really special all day and I knew that she truly was happy for us and wanted our photos to capture all the special moments throughout the day so we could look back on our time together and remember not just the big moments, but all the little moments that sometimes get over looked. I can't even imaging how you could find a better wedding photographer than Tasha. We had her do our engagement pictures, and were completely in love with how they turned out. But more importantly, we loved spending the afternoon with Tasha and Tom. They were so patient, and put us completely at ease. My fiance was ready to lose it by the time we arrived at her house after sitting in disgusting traffic, and I thought our photo session would be ruined. But Tasha sat him down, had Tom get him a glass of nice scotch, and we all relaxed and ended up having a great time. We thought we knew what the expect after our engagement session, but when it came to our wedding day, Tasha and Tom impressed us yet again and I fully realized how lucky we were to have them by our sides on the biggest day of our lives. Hiring Tasha was the best decision we made, and she is maybe the only vendor I would 100% recommend without any reservations. We had a bit of a time crunch, since I took much longer getting ready than I had planned on. Tasha kept her cool though, and kept me calm as well. I was dreaming of having hours and hours to take pictures with my fiance, but we ended up with about 30 minutes. I was terrified this would ruin my day, but after seeing some "sneak peeks" a few weeks after our wedding, I realized 30 minutes is plenty when you're working with someone who knows what they are doing. The most miraculous part of Tasha's personality and talent, is that she was able to wrangle both of our extended families, get everyone to stand still and smile, and make everyone laugh at the same time. I still think about what a challenge this would be for most people, and I can't wait to see the pictures of everyone we love together, they will be treasured forever. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Tasha and her husband Tom. They took both our engagement and wedding photos and did such an amazing job. The pictures are beautiful and natural and everything we could have hoped for, but, what's more, Tasha and her husband were a complete joy to work with.
