The attorney did not take the necessary steps to file the appeal on time. Separately, the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) submitted forms to the court -- this was not done by my attorney. I paid $5,000 upfront and still owe an additional $1,000, including charges for phone calls and emails. I do not speak English, so all communication was done through written messages, which made me fully dependent on his office for updates. Over the course of a year, his office had constant staff turnover. Three different assistants left during my case, which caused delays and confusion. It became very difficult to get timely responses or clear information. Recently, after billing me for calls and emails, I was told that my language barrier was a problem and that they could not communicate effectively with me because the Russian-speaking assistant had left. However, this was never presented as an issue when taking my case. As a result, the appeal was not filed on time, and I suffered serious financial and legal consequences. I trusted this attorney's professionalism and expected my case to be handled properly. I regret not reading reviews before hiring him.
