Staff were friendly and excited a customer who didn't know about them found them. They do cater but sell slices of cake as well, and I got a slice of one of their red velvet cream cheese cake ($5.50). That's basically a red velvet sandwich with a cream cheese layer in the middle, AND cream cheese frosting. Flavors were pretty good! Cake slice was pretty big, and while it wasn't as moist as others I have, I think that's because their slices were stored in the refrigerator and just came out of the fridge. Interior is pretty small. No tables, no chairs, this is a get it and go establishment. They also sell cupcakes but no coffee/beverages. Parking isn't an issue here because sadly, the Diamond Plaza just holds Scratch Batch Cakes, a computer repair shop and one other store...everything else is empty. This plaza is off of Covington Highway, just before you reach Glenwood Road (right across the street from the Chevrolet dealership). Getting into the lot is easy. Getting out of the lot sucks though, especially if you're turning left towards I-285's direction. At the end of the day, I like this small business that's been around for about a year and a half. When patrons are sat in section of your wait staff and they are busy attending other tables, the last thing you should do is not acknowledge their presence. Today, we sat and watched the staff walk by us a couple of times without saying a single word. Now, we can see that they are busy, but to not acknowledge us is unacceptable. If you would have said, " good morning, I will be with your folks" OR any kind of communication to us would have been nice. I then flagged down the hostess( Aiyana) WHO WAS REALLY SWEET AND HELPFUL, to see whose section we were in. She apologized and went to let the young lady know to stop by our table. The hostess is the one who then brought us water. Eventually, the waitress finally made it our table with a greeting that was more mechanical/robotic , than caring. It appeared to be a family friendly environment, although I don't remember seeing any parties with children. There was a variety of music playing; the volume was good.
