This cute art center has different exhibits but the one I went to was all about the Boston Marathon. I had signed up to do the special package which included a 13 min slide show about the history of some of the statues that are on the Boston marathon course and just some history about the course/ race itself. And then there was a self guided tour to see the winged foot statues and some others as well. And there was a coupon for food at the start line brewery included too. The person who helped me get my tour started was very nice and helpful. This space is on the small side but it is very nice and clean. Feels a bit on the homey side. I would come back here for sure to check out other art exhibits they put on when it's not marathon season.

Completely appalled by the schools lack of professionalism and lack of courtesy. We arrived for our…read moresecond recreational class (week two of the season) only to be told that the class was cancelled for the year due to not enough students. At no point was there a disclaimer that a class could be cancelled if enrollment standards were not met. They could have told us this well in advance. Rather they chose to put up a charade the first week (adding company dancers as "fillers" amongst the few students actually enrolled), and then sell the students on their "new" intermediate company which costs about four times the monthly tuition rate. Thanks for stringing us along. Huge waste of time.

I loved my years at Diane's School of Dance. I danced here for fourteen years and truly loved it…read morethere. Diane's shows are very professional and it's clear how much hard work goes into them. I find that a lot of studios in the area are not nearly as polished as this studios. All the costumes are gorgeous and eye catching. The songs always fit the age group and the dances are to skill level. During her shows she keeps dancers backstage with volunteers and parents rotate who stays backstage. I've seen other studios were dancers come back and forth from the audience between dances which is just poorly planned. Diane really puts on a show she makes all of the backdrops by hand and with a different theme each year. She also does fun finale number with all the dancers where everyone is together! The best part about dancing at Diane's is the family feel. All of the girls get so close over the years and with parent volunteers you know people are committed to the studio. I still go back and help at shows and I left the studio 6 years ago to go to college. I loved Diane's School of Dance and hope for many more girls to enjoy their time there over the years!

I can't imagine dance classes in the space. It is fairly small with very low ceilings and the floor is just a tile. Not a dance floor. My girls have been dancing long enough for me to know this isn't safe flooring to dance on. I was very concerned for injury. Needless to say we found another studio in the area that did have the proper ceiling height, proper dance floor and is a good size to learn in. I would have to recommend against sending anyone to dance on that floor. Just look at the space and environment your child before going on what seems a popular choice. I am surprised that with the supposed "popularity" it supposedly has that they haven't invested into a better facility for their students.

At Fred Astaire Dance Studio, you are greeted warmly, the instructors are incredible, good-spirited, and definitely are not afraid of two left feet. The other students are kind, generous, and some of my new friends.
