Christie Clinic has one goal and one goal only: client exploitation. Allow me to take you on a tour of their billing department. March 2026: I visited my doctor for a 20 minute appointment. Later that month, I received an incorrect bill, as expected from this company. In that bill, Christie Clinic ignored my insurance plan's allowed amount (savings should have been $125.84; see image of my EOB). Instead, Christie Clinic billed me a whopping $174.67 for a 20 minute appointment. I called Christie Clinic, and after a week, they sent me an "updated" bill of $174.67. Yes, you read that correctly. Nothing was changed. The best part? This is not Christie Clinic's first time ignoring my insurance plan's allowed amount. They also did this to me in Fall 2025. The difference this time is that they are refusing to correct it. I know I am not the first patient they have billed incorrectly, and I certainly will not be the last. At this point, this no longer feels like a mistake -- it feels like a business practice. Check your statements carefully, because Christie Clinic is hoping you won't. What good is a pt. portal if it is going to kick you off at will. Plus the "fine portal staff don't answer portal calls...are they waiting for me to contact them through the portal....which doesn't work? This is a major concern for anyone who needs more medical care then an occasional physical. Thank God the portal staff are not the medical staff. I just made a phone call to this locations convenient care about getting checked for COVID. When I told them I think I have COVID and wanted to be checked, there was a long pause and then the response "you think". After trying to explain the symptoms I've had in the past few days I was still rudely told to go pick up a test from the store and they reluctantly said you can also come see us. I could understand if someone is having a bad day but I called a few minutes after they just opened. read more

Do not do business with these folks. Their billing department is terrible to work with. Sent me to collections for $5. Their "customer complaint line" is manned by their RISK MANAGERS. That should tell you all you need to know. They worry only about liability not resolving issues The Bloomington location at Medical Hills is a disaster with constantly rotating staff, no procedures, folks without out appointments just rolling in and being seen. Their doctors are robotic. Good for routine physicals but no treatment. For that they refer you to one of their specialists for even more expense. I take a small anti anxiety drug. Instead of just upping the dose (taken it for 15 years) they wanted me to see their new shrink. Overkill but a money maker Stay away from Christy and their partner Carle. The "convenient care" system at Windsor in Champaign is complete GARBAGE. do not waste your time being sick in their hot parking lot with no communication when you can be sick at home. I went to their parking lot, followed the directions to park and called the number. The recorded message said to not call back multiple times or there could be a delay in service, so I didn't. Half an hour later, with no call back, hot and sick in my car, I decided I'd rather be sick at home. Sure, Christie Clinic employees need to be protected from people who might have covid. Sad excuse of a healthcare network. The labs (3around town) don't know what samples they can and cannot take. Often ends in a rat race around town trying to find answers. Christie clinic outsources everything to carle often resulting to paying for a Christie Clinic appointment and then another Carle appointment. Also, lack of follow up from doctors. If my insurance didn't force me to go there I would pull my family immediately. read more

Called for annual appointment, Receptionist's looking for available appointment and put me on hold. It kept on saying " a team member will be with you shortly.." My call & the time i'm on hold is more than 43 minutes now. I could just hang up and call again but again this reflex how poor there services are. Update, somebody answered the phone & i told them i was on hold. She told me it doesn't show i was onhold, by this time it was more than 54 minutes. And it gets worse, available physical appt is not until december 23rd. Love my primary doctor though. Will look for a new primary doctor. read more

Todays medical experience is best done anywhere other than within the Christie Clinic organization as they are to busy to provide any assistance to you UNLESS you are physically standing there for your appointment..... IF YOU LIVE THAT LONG. Appointments for PCP's are being made for FEB 2022 regardless how long you have been with them and regardless of how many times you have had to run into an ER to deal with what they are to busy to..... Want your test results? Guess what, they don't have enough staff to get those to you and even though you call, and call and call.... (and wait and wait and wait on hold) you are told they have not been reviewed in the 22 days since the test has been completed, they will forward the tests to the MD for review (AGAIN) and the employee named "someone" will call you "soon". I had better medical care by my PA in Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan...... Take care of yourself..... seek medical care elsewhere. read more

Every time I call to schedule an appointment I am treated with a lot of rudeness. I ask polite questions to clarify my confusion and I am treated like I am stupid. Most recently I called to confirm an appointment I had scheduled for today and I was told it was cancelled and I was sent a letter on the portal months ago. I asked if a letter was also mailed because I never saw anything in the portal. I was told "IT WAS SENT IN THE PORTAL" as if I wasn't listening. I understand those who answer the phones may deal with rude patients a lot, but I was definitely not one, and I don't appreciate being treated so poorly when I am simply trying to follow up on my medical care. So I'm trying to make an appointment to get a prescription filled and I walk in the building to be told by the receptionist I have to go to internal medicine...who then tells me to go to family medicine...who then tells me to go the convenient care carport...who then tells me to the check out desk...who then sends me back to internal medicine. So after about an hour and 5 stops they establish that I do indeed have a doctor with them after telling me that there wasn't anything in my records regarding a primary care doctor. If they can't even give you the correct desk to go to, god only knows how much they can be trusted with medicine and healthcare. This place is a complete joke. If anyone from this burning dumpster fire reads this, I'd like to speak with a supervisor...although I can't imagine that happening or what good that would do. Please check your medications if you have the misfortune of dealing with this place. Christi is the place where your time goes to die a slow painful death. I choose to visit this location because it is the closest to my residence (I live 20 miles away). Some of the providers are great and others not so much. Most recently, I visited (knowing I have a sinus infection) only for the provider to not treat that at all and only focused on a negative strep test. If I did not pay attention to my body due to having a childhood disease, I wouldn't know what was wrong. The staff are all super nice but it is frustrating when certain providers do not want to provide a full over all health check and antibiotics when necessary. read more
