I am also a photographer (not a professional one, as a hobby) so when I was searching for someone to do our photos, I looked for someone who had a certain shooting and editing style, as well as skill. What I love about Ruby is that she can not only do beautiful outdoor photo shoots, but amazing studio/indoor photos! Trust me, as a fellow photographer, finding someone who can do both is very difficult! Usually someone specializes in one or the other. I originally chose Ruby for her beautiful portfolio, but kept coming back to her for her professionalism, talent and overall great photoshoot experiences. Most of our shoots involved our children, which (as most parents know) can be a really stressful time. Ruby has always been able to connect with our kids (even the grumpy ones), is super friendly and makes the photo time fun rather than a chore for them. All four of my kids know who "Miss Ruby" is now. Her customer service is on point. Ruby has always been able to match the vision of what kind of photos I'm requesting. When we came inside she gave me the remote to the heating and air and wanted to make sure I was comfortable offered me drinks and snacks. I was not expecting her to be such a great host as well as a photographer!! Her studio has anything and everything a newborn baby and post partum mom might need on an outing such as changing table, wipes, diapers, sound machine, boppy breast feeding pillow, and so much more but those were just a few things I noticed or used while I was there. She has an amazing collection of props, fabrics, bows, and adorable vintage little outfits to choose from when styling your baby for the photos. She helped me choose a lot of it bc I could not make up my mind. She was a swaddling pro the baby was extremely comfortable. We had my 3 year old son come at the end of the session and he wasn't quite cooperating but she was very patient and understanding.
