Once I arrived they had already had 4 dresses picked out and ready for me in my dressing room. The first dress they had picked out for me was already almost perfect, it was actually my 2nd favorite. I was so grateful to have someone who immediately understood what I may like but also gave me some options to try in case I might have chosen something unexpected. The entire appointment I felt like Hanna and Sydney catered to my likes, took my opinions to find dresses with those changes and supported me. They also provided various options for returning in case I wanted to come back after other dress shopping that day. After having a truly negative experience at a 2nd dress store, Hanna welcomed me back with open arms that afternoon. TLDR: I booked a solo appointment and the girls helped me out so much, I felt very relaxed and just…read morehad fun trying on dresses, most gowns were under 1000 but some needed significant repair, unexpectedly found and bought my dress! I had gone to one other traditional boutique and felt a little rushed because I hadn't had time to browse the racks before my appointment and didn't know what kind of style I wanted. So the more laidback vibe of BFAC was appealing to me as I wanted to peruse at my leisure and I was able to try on any style dress I wanted. I booked a solo appointment so I could just try on what I wanted, but not having someone there to help with zipping up made me a little slower with the dresses. The girls were able to help with zipping and clipping when I needed it. I was able to try on 8 different dresses (of varying degrees of condition). Most dresses were priced under 1000 but I did see many that had broken zippers/ripped seams/sold as is that would need repair. I ended up going a bit over my appointment time but the girls were so gracious in giving me more time, probably because I was there alone. Also I'm normally a 4 in street size but they recommended sizing up so I was looking at dresses between 6-8 which they had significant stock of. I stumbled on an absolute GEM of a dress that was a sample by Maggie Sottero. It was the second dress I had tried and it fit like a glove, was in pristine condition, and was so beautiful. The girls were so nice in hyping me up. I felt so pretty and comfortable in the dress but I didn't have the wow moment or tears so I was actually unsure if that was "my dress" but they were able to hold it for me for 24 hours. The hold was nice but stressful for me because I wanted more time to think about it (which is the nice thing about traditional stores that have normal stocked designers where you can try on a dress and return weeks to months later and still be able to buy it, but if I didn't buy this one, there wasn't a guarantee it would be there again next time). I ended up going back the following day (no appointment needed) to try it on again and styled it in different ways to see what alterations I would want and I realized I would be devastated if I passed on it and would regret not getting it right then. When I was paying for the dress, the girls actually said they had just gotten the dress in too so if you don't find a dress initially, check back again because it seems their stock rotates frequently and you might be able to find a really good quality dress for a fraction of the cost (I ended up saving 70% of the retail cost at BFAC).

The dresses they receive are either from other bridal stores, sample sales, or on consignment, so the prices were super reasonable. I brought along two people and they were comfortably situated while I tried on dresses. I went through the racks and Trinity helped pill out the ones I was interested in, and then helped swap them out in the dressing room so that it wouldn't be too overwhelming. They had champagne for everyone and it was truly a blast, but slightly overwhelming with so many personality types on my side of things. I recommend this to get the experience, but just want to give a heads up on that. I also had fallen in love with a sample dress that just did not fit my body unfortunately, though Tam & Melody tried their best to see how they might be able to modify it. At the end of the day it was just too much to do to the dress. For my second visit, I tried on a dress that I was initially interested in but didn't have time to try on at my first visit. And... well, this is the one. I tried on a few others as well, and ultimately left thinking about that first one. Melody was so awesome for not pushing me to make a decision, I really hate that feeling. So I was grateful to her for being so patient with me- this is a big decision!! I also had quite a large group with me, and I knew there were going to be plenty of opinions! But from the moment I was greeted by my consultant, Shelley, I immediately felt like I was in good hands. Shelley took the time to sit down with me and really get to know what I was looking for. She asked if I had a vision for my dress, and I had to laugh because, honestly, I really didn't. I wasn't one of those girls who had dreamed about her wedding dress her entire life. I truly had no idea what would look good on me, and more than anything, it was important to me that whatever I chose felt authentic and true to who I am. Shelley asked me thoughtful questions, listened to my answers, and then we went back to look at dresses. I must have looked completely overwhelmed at one point because she said, "Why don't you go ahead and have a seat? I have three dresses in mind that I'm going to bring to you, and we'll take it from there." So that's exactly what we did. I put the first dress on and thought it was very pretty. I liked it, but something just didn't quite click. I went out to show my group, and they agreed. Then I went back and put on the second dress. The moment I stepped into it, I knew. It was the one. There was only one little problem: it didn't have nearly enough sparkle for me! I definitely wanted more bling. Shelley immediately assured me that wouldn't be a problem because they have an in-house alterations team, and their alteration specialist could customize the dress exactly the way I wanted. I ended up choosing a sample dress right off the floor, which meant I didn't have to worry about ordering a dress and hoping it arrived in time. They have beautiful dresses and then they suck you in to have alterations done here, then don't have your dress ready by your wedding date or they cut it very close. If you're going to go all the way with buying your dress and getting it altered here, LIE about your wedding date and tell them your wedding is 2-3 weeks before the actual wedding date. It's the only way to hopefully ensure you'll receive your dress back in time. Trust me. You'll thank me later.
